Love to look for a simple bite at the Honolulu Farmers Market held on the Blaisdell Center lawn every Wednesday night from 4pm-7pm which makes it easy dinner option for me and I stumbled upon this cute spot offering various summer rolls. As I looked over their menu offerings I do wish that they list the ingredients on each item as asking is easy but easier if it's listed as she informed me of what it consists of I practically forgot what it was in just seconds...omg! I did decide on "Avo Veggie". Watching it being build to order is nice and the generous amount of avocado is very nice along with lettuce, tofu and carrots is the vegan option but at $15 felt a bit tough and very small. You do get two sauces and with three types to choose from since this is for mom I just went with peanut for both choices. Love items that are freshly made and it was very good though wished it had more veggies but loved the freshness offered at the convenience of this farmers market. Thank you! read more

The best place to try great one trick ponies, Hawaii's transient food scene. A reinvented Summer roll? Yes! Using the "shrimp lovers" as the example, flash rehydrated, still very chewy rice paper surrounds a generous amount of fresh lettuce, shaved carrot and no less than five plump boiled 31-40 size shrimp. No rice noodle filler just veg and protein. A swirl in the sweet, creamy, peanut sauce and wow, just wow. Other options include a chicken with crispy onions, pork, spicy chicken and a vegan avocado roll. Different sauce options also available. Two refreshing rolls and two sauces per order. Tip: they will wrap the rolls in cling film if you are not going to consume them immediately. $15-$16 per order. A worthy stop for a refreshing snack should you see them around. read more

I love summer rolls and have been wanting to try this place for a long time. I finally did and I am so disappointed. The taste is good but look at my roll! I got the avo veggie and all it has in it is avocado, lettuce and carrots. The picture on the menu showed much more. I wouldn't be so annoyed if it was cheap but this was $13! They were super friendly and the sauce is good but they shouldn't be advertising this as having lotsa veggies when it has barely any. read more

Best summer rolls I've had in a long time. You get two large rolls cut in two for $12 which I think is super reasonable, and two choices of homemade sauces! They are packed with fresh greens and veggies. This was my first time and got the signature pork, with the tom yum and also the spicy lime sauces. What stood out for me is that they weren't half filled with vermicelli like most places. And each roll is made to order in front of you! Will definitely try a different roll next week from the Blaisdell farmer's market...or maybe even KCC this Saturday. The craving is real. read more

SaSa's is one of my favorite new vendors at Wednesday's Honolulu Farmers Market at the Blaisdell Center. These Vietnamese summer rolls are the best I've tasted in Honolulu, and dare I say it, better than anything I've tried at The Pig and The Lady. I am a big fan of SaSa's signature sauce, which you can ask for on the side along with other delicious sauces such as the YumYum Sauce and Peanut Sauce, to compliment your summer roll. I've tried samples of all the rolls, and they are all delicious, although my favorite is the Signature Roll. The herb encrusted pork is so flavorful. You can taste every bit of the fresh ingredients that are packed into the roll, including the avocado, basil, mint, and cilantro. This has become my go to place to eat at the Wednesday's farmers market, the same as my favorite salmon laulau that I have to eat at the Saturday Kaka'ako Farmers Market. It's just one of those unique dishes that can't be found anywhere else. I'm happy to see a new booth that offers fresh, healthy, and tasty ingredients as an alternative to the lunch plates, hamburgers, and burritos. The only downside to this vendor is the steep price for two rolls. The Signature Roll is $11, very pricey compared to what you will find for summer rolls in Chinatown. I consider it my weekly farmers market splurge, but it's making me think that with these prices, I should learn how to make my own summer rolls at home! read more

Cool and refreshing rolls perfect for summer. We get the veggie avocado with the peanut sauce. The peanut sauce is to die for!! I could use it on everything!! Soo good! Comes with 4 rolls (2 full size cut in half) and choice of 2 sauces. The tapioca with mango is also VERY good and the thai iced tea has just the right amount of sweetness. We go to the Mililani farmers market every Sunday and the husband and wife duo at Sasa are always there! They are super friendly and quick. Veggie roll is $10 and tea is $5. I think tapioca is $4 or $5. I haven't found a good way to keep the rolls in the frig without the wrapper getting hard and gummy so it's best to eat right away. The BEST summer rolls you will find on the islands. Don't go anywhere else, they won't live up. They are so flavorful, especially the special chicken ones they do. The addition of herbs makes it extra tasty on the palate, and they are not skimpy with the ingredients. They fill the rice papers to their max. You are literally eating a whole salad with one roll! The spicy peanut sauce they serve with them is so delicious, I would drink it if it was socially acceptable. Extremely satisfying, fresh, crunchy rolls prepared to order at the Blaisdell farmer's market on Wednesdays! The spicy peanut sauce is delicious. My only two suggestions that would bump up to 5 stars: -Allow us to get more than one sauce complimentary. Sauce is cheap and variety is the spice of life. Plus, the rolls are $10, which is costly enough that unlimited sauce should be free. My suggestion: let customers fill their own sauce cups with whatever they want from the squeeze bottles. -More avocado in the veggie rolls. Mine were mostly lettuce, which was crunchy and refreshing, but left me feeling hungry just an hour or two later. (And again: $10 rolls. I like when places don't punish vegetarians for being vegetarian with calorie deprivation, but make up the calories with generous quantities of a rich ingredient.) read more
