This was a year ago, I didn't get a chance to until recently. I wanted to check out Sweet Mango's showroom which happens to be at The Pineapple Patio. From what I read, they do pop up events at The Pineapple Patio. The location of The Pineapple Patio is on South King St. right after the pet hospital and Central Pacific Bank. Stay on your far left lane as South King St. is one way. Make a left when you see State Farm Insurance. What I dislike about this place is the parking lot. Parking is very limited and very tight. I had a hard time parking my vehicle and hard time getting out. Once you find parking, you hit the buzzer for your pop up business and someone will come down to open the glass door for you. Walk up the stairs and you will see all the different vendors. During my visit to The Pineapple Patio, I had to pick up my son and was in a rush. I didn't get to browse around to the other vendors. What caught my eyes were all the plant and succulent across of the Sweet Mango's showroom, I wanted to check it out but had to leave right after. I will check it out when I have more time. Sweet Mango's products and showroom is so neat and organized. I loved the pineapple design prints on most of the merchandise, it is so nice and colorful. I had to get a pineapple print Turkish towel in green for me and a towel for my mom for Mother's day. Besides Sweet Mango Hawaii, some of the Vendors at the event were Tidepool Love, Kahulale'a, Aloha Dreamboard, and The Writing Desk. I read that it is best to check Instagram/social media's Pineapple Patio page for the upcoming events. What a great idea and great place to get your shopping done!

Look for the pineapple sign on the left side of King Street. There are about 10 parking stalls underneath the patio and street parking on King Street. This place is used for small start up businesses such as clothing and jewelry. It's a good place to have pop up events on the open patio or in their room. Another thing that I'm thinking about is possibly holding a bridal shower here in the future. Looks like a perfect venue to rent out and cater food at. (Not necessary to get catering, but definitely an option) They also rent out their furniture and plants that they have showcased around the patio. Super cute place and hope to be back soon!

OMGoodness for the aiyaiyai-YUM!!! :D I'm more of a lamb, turkey, fish, and veggie type of eater and it looked like I could make it work here :D The food selections and review descriptions most obviously intrigued me so I took a screen shot of the business page and general Yelp photos for a reminder of what's offered and decided to go in search of EAT next time I'm in town during the week day. First Visit - As good luck happened, they were still open at 1:30 p.m. (for some reason their Yelp page said they close at 2 but there I found out it's actually 3! Yay!) so I ventured a visit. I easily found parking conveniently in the GENTRY BUSINESS CENTER nka NA LIMA KUKUI lot where there are a lot of stalls, and walked right into the complex. EAT was easy to find right at the front as you enter the main open entrance area. I actually wanted to try the SURF N TURF with turkey patty substitute (for their yummy Kulana Beef) but they already had run out of turkey so I allowed myself to be swayed into trying their turkey club and then add a side of their soft shell crab. I placed my order with a side of SHOESTRING FRIES and a REFILLABLE BOTTOMLESS LEMONADE. The wait was pretty long but I guess they make it hot and fresh just like Jack (in-the-Box does) so it was absolutely worth the wait. TURKEY CLUB with SOFT SHELL CRAB SAND ($8.99 + $6.99 = $15.98!? crazy ugh) My concoction (bc I made it up the chef said!) was deeeeelicious! Needed to eat it with two hands to hold it all together! The great thing about it? Once I was done, the other half was ready to go! More Y-U-M! :D The turkey was soft, tasty deli meat. It's got nicely-seasoned good taste but just not my thing unless it's freshly-baked turkey meat. FRIES ($2.90) were ahhh just OK. I'm a major fries person (I'll eat them with chopsticks or fork if no chopsticks!) and there really needed to be more plus they really need to be cooked until crispy. Alas, they have not. Vines which grew thick over the barrier fence for the project have been recently removed so perhaps there is some hope. In the last few days a late model pickup truck with the DieDie Construction logo has been arriving with a crew of one man. Progress continues to be very slow. The large sign posted proudly announcing the 3.6 million dollar project has been graffiti covered which speaks to the lack of progress. However, that one gentleman arriving the last few days in a truck gives us some hope!!!

Did you know that Fishcake in Kaka'ako has various pop-ups at the front of their shop ahhhh yeah and what caught my attention was the sign for Panday Coffee placed right outside on the sidewalk but as I entered caught a whiff and saw DC Caterings in the kitchen area. Very minimal set up that it was almost a missed opportunity and I as I browsed at the menu options it seemed quite simple with just three options though it wasn't as it was Risotto! I just love risotto and the complex build is so yummy that I just can't believe the luck of this discovery and it was either Mushroom, Shrimp or Smoked Risotto choices and of course I was tossed between the Mushroom or Smoked he said that I could add meats/mushroom in either choices but stuck to the Mushroom Risotto which has shallots, garlic in the dish as well while it's finished with white wine and some fresh parmesan cheese I also chose to add truffle oil for the bit of bougieness and what a heavenly bite. As I chose to enjoy it there it was nice that he had it plated versus using a take out container and what a luxurious bite yet delicate as it was cooked perfectly as this unexpected find turned to a relaxing lunch along with my drink from Panday made it a nice break from my errands. For the past two years we had Yatai Sushi cater our event. Having an actual sushi chef at your party makes your party even cooler and unique. It was easy coordinating the with Todd, the Owner. He responded super fast to my inquiries. We had two different sushi chefs each time but both were really friendly and cool. They were on time and came prepared. You just need to provide them a space and maybe access to a sink. I love how I didn't need to worry about them. The minimum amount for a party is 40 people~ They'll stay for 2 hours or until they run out. In regard to the sushi, they quality of fish is great. They make: hamachi, ebi, salmon, maguro nigiris to name a couple. Then they also make California and spicy ahi(?) handrolls. If you're having a pupu event, the sushi plus a couple sides is enough~ If you want your party to stand out, cater with Yatai Sushi!

Dinner started and the appetizers and wine pairings were really good. The Lomi Lomi Salmon and the Fresh Ahi Poke were some of my favorite dishes of the night. All the drink pairings provided tasted great. By the time the main entrees began to come out they were a little cold but still tasted great. That night we were able to exclusively purchased the wines and vodka that was provided for future pick up. We have not heard back on a pick up date and no response received via email after 2 business days after receiving prior email communication in a timely manner leading up to the event. All in all I would like to go back to check out the restaurant on its own.
