Went to Saskia Salon for the first time today. My hair stylist of 10 years moved and I was a bit nervous about going to someone new. I called to make an appointment and they got me in the next day. I didn't have any one particular stylist in mind, so I was schedule with Tess. She is a very sweet girl. She knew what she was talking about and explained what she was doing every step of the way. I was at the salon that day watching what was going on and I am sorry to say but it is your job as a mother to correct your children and stop them from misbehaving. Since you did not take things in your own hands Saskia had to, and I did not see anything wrong with the way she spoke to your kids. She was very polite and did what any human being with do in such a circumstance.I am a parent of 2 and I would not tolerate such behavior from my kids outside the house. I just came back from yet another amazing experience with Saskia! I went for my color and a cut and she first spent the time with me for a consult and to make sure I knew what I wanted. I typically like her suggestion because she always knows what is best for my hair. She is extremely sweet and funny and so amazing at her job I can't say enough how talented she is and how much I love this place. Saskia is more than a stylist.. She is caring and a great communicator and makes sure to get to know her clients and takes time to remember even the littlest things. The staff is so nice and her assistant is so pleasant and gives the best washes! She gives a super massage I read a reviewer blast the salon because of her kids. I have been coming to Saskia for a long time and have seen multiple kids there, as I did today... And she was so pleasant and had taken the time to chat with them and tell them they looked so cute.. I am very finicky about who touches my hair and Ally and Saskia have more than proven their skill and customer service- don't be fooled by how young Ally is, she knows her craft, constantly updates her knowledge, and she listens to the customer. She has done everything from razor perfect bob (ala Katie Holmes) to long hair with Brazilian Blowout on me and I have always been delighted. I just moved here and was hoping to find a good salon well this is not it. My haircut was the worst. The stylist did not have the good sense or knowledge to know that when I asked for a little more texturizing that did not mean cut most of my hair off. It is going to to take a long time for it to grow back in. All she had to do was follow the cut I had already which was perfect just needed a little cleaning up. Maybe the more seasoned stylists are good but beware of the ones recently put on the floor! read more

My old colorist wasn't getting me there but Sophia gave me options and what to expect and it looks better than I thought we could get it. I truly cannot believe the good reviews I see on yelp for this salon. I had the worst experience with them. The short version: I paid $200 and spent two days off to get a terrible color followed by an even worse "correction". That coupled with their complete lack of professionalism and a hugely argumentative attitude. The detailed version: I came in asking for an ombre to transition my roots (about 2.5 inches of dark blonde virgin roots) more gracefully into the near-platinum blonde that was the rest of my hair. The stylist, Taylor, seemed confident she could give me what I wanted. I showed her a picture and she said she could achieve it. She consulted with her superior and I trusted their judgement. Halfway through the coloring process, however, Taylor informed me that she would not give me *exactly* what I asked for, but that she would give me "something that would make me very happy". To be clear, I would have been fine if the salon had told me what I wanted wasn't possible, but to tell me they COULD give me what I asked for and then go back on their word halfway through with product IN my hair, just seemed a bit like I was being swindled. $200 I left the salon with a near-brunette all-over. On the bottom, however, it looked like they did nothing at all- I still had that huge band of new growth jutting up against platinum blonde color. I tried to be polite at the salon and I held my tongue, but upon seeing it in better lighting, I realized that I really did not have what I asked for. The salon was closed for the next two days so I couldn't reach anyone, but I reached someone on the third day. They did not apologize or take responsibility, but tried to play a he-said-she-said game with me, telling me that the stylist said I explained things differently and it was my fault if I was not clear enough on what I wanted, and that's why my hair resulted the way it did. They did say they would try and fix it, though so I scheduled an appointment for a correction. They did not work with my schedule at all for the appointment, but at least they said they would not charge me. I also requested that they put me with a senior specialist, but the owner called me back saying this was not possible and that I would be paired with the same stylist who did the color the first time. When I showed up for the correction, the owner and the stylist both spoke with me. I asked again if ombre was possible, presenting a picture, and the responses I got were contradictory and defensive: from "yes we can do that! But you're being unrealistic" To "well we CAN do that, but you wouldn't want us to, because you weren't happy with us last time and we think you'll just complain again." To "what you're asking for isn't possible, and by asking us to do it again you're being difficult." (yes, they actually started telling me that I was the problem). At one point I caught the stylist rolling her eyes at me in the mirror where she thought I could not see. Things went downhill from there. Eventually, the stylist got fed up and simply said "time is of the essence so we had better just get started." I still wasn't clear on what they were going to do to fix it, but by then I got the feeling they just wanted me Out of their salon. Wanting to salvage the situation (and preferably, my hair) I gave in again and decided to trust them. So I showed them the picture one more time and said "CAN you give me this?" And they said "yes. We will get you there. Just trust me." Two hours later I walked out with a bad bleach job on top of the brunette color they originally gave me. My hair is badly damaged enough now that I will have to wait another month or so to fix their mistake. If you like bad hair, being met with attitude, argumentativeness, and being told that you are the problem when someone else screws up then this is the salon for you. read more

This salon is awesome! It is so clean and beautiful. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and every one that walked by was smiling. My stylist was Sophia and she is the BEST!!! She is sweet and so talented. I went in with very damaged orange hair and she made it so soft and silky. We are working on a gradual color correction so I will update my review as time goes on! Too expensive for the quality you're getting. Blair was terrible at listening and tried dictate the cut style while also forcing her opinion on how my hair grows (insane since I've been grooming my hair all my life and she's seen it for 1 minute).
