I have always had the best experience visiting Julie at Sassy Lash. I've had the Hombré Microblading process done to my eyebrows and continue to get my false eyelashes done by her. Julie is always professional and her attention to detail makes for flawless results every time! She comes from a background in Mechanical Engineering, so needless to say she is dedicated to perfection in the details. Which is very important when you are trusting someone with procedures that effect the appearance of your face. I trust Julie at each appointment, knowing that she is passionate about her profession and that she wants her clients to leave feeling even more beautiful then when they walked in and with the results they're hoping for. She is very accommodating to scheduling appointments that work with your schedule and ensuring she is not rushing through a client just to squeeze everyone in. She really does treat each client with the attention and time that it takes to complete the process. I will tell you a little bit about the two things I've had done by her below. Hombre Eyebrows - I had wanted to get this done for a few years now. I come from an Asian ethnicity, so my eyebrows tend to grow thin and straight, with not a lot of even structure/shape to them. I was nervous to have something "permanent" or semi-permanent done to my face, thinking "what if it doesn't look good?!" Well, let me tell you, this was the best decision that I have ever made! I used to spend so much time filling in my eyebrows or feeling uncomfortable without them filled in before leaving the house. Now I literally can wake up with no make up and feel confident with out wearing anything! This made the world of a difference to my overall routine. Julie made sure that I knew what the outcome would look like prior to actually starting. She was very detailed in the process, by measuring out and sketching exactly where the eyebrow shape needed to be filled. She made any and all altercations to the stencil, until we both agreed they looked perfect!! Then once the stencil was on, she began the "tattooing" part. Of course it is a little uncomfortable with a little needle on your face, but her technique made it so easy to get through. Julie has gone to a handful of classes and programs in order to perfect her technique. Even though she is highly certified and a master in this, she continues to go back for training to ensure that she is keeping up with the industry techniques and trends. I would recommend this procedure 10/10! False eyelashes - I can't rave about this enough! This is something that I used to roll my eyes when people said they were getting "fake eyelashes", especially when they would tell me the cost and upkeep! Well, Julie offers a very fair price on this and it is absolutely worth it! During your appointment, you can sit there and relax with calming music in the background and your eyes closed. She works with you to get the exact results that you're hoping for and seriously flawless lashes every time. The quality of her lashes are amazing and last so long. I go about 3-4 weeks and still looking as if I just had them done. Recommend this 10/10!! read more

Can't say enough great things about this place. Although I see Julie regularly, I've sat with everyone and they're all great but different. Alena will be super meticulous and will concentrate on the lashes, but you need to be prepared to stay a while. Sunny focuses on full lashes while Julie tends to follow your natural lash structure. So it's really up to you. I have sparse, short lashes with high fallout, but I trust Julie to help me keep my lashes healthy without undue stress on them like other lash places. And if you want your eyebrows shaped or a facial, ask for Lena. I've never been to anyone who comes close to Lena with her skill in eyebrow shaping. Unfortunately she experienced an injury (poor thing!) and is now recovering but I can't wait until she's back at sassy lash! The rest of this review is focused on Julie. Some of her clients see her every three weeks while I see her every other week. Like everyone there, Julie takes pride in her work and they always try to accommodate your interests. I have been getting eyelash extensions for about 9 to 10 months now. I had been to a couple of different places that had charged anywhere from $45 to $280 to get a full set. Boy was I a fool and I kept going to a place that charged crazy money and my eyelashes would look great for a day or two then they would look horrible. I would try to brush them so they would try to look straight and buy product that I thought would help, on top the price that I was charged to have them done. So I finely decided to check out a couple more places and see how they do eyelash extensions. The one site that showed what great eyelashes should look like and what you needed to do for the care of them and was straight from the heart honest was Sassy Lash by Julie. On Julie's site she had shown what bad and terrible eyelashes look like and feel like. Julie had also explained that lashes could look great when there first done, but after a couple of days they start to get all crisscross and that happens due to the way they are done in the first place. Just an update- I disagree with nearly EVERYTHING that was in the owners response. There are literally 3 beds laying next to each other in a 10'12 room I would imagine that would make it difficult to work properly as well. I did not have a touch of mascara on my lashes- as I stated I've been getting them done for years and know better than this. As for the rest of the garbage she stated- you can check my other reviews and I have left plenty of them for other eyelash establishments. Why would I single this one out or "bully" someone. I sent Julie a message and while i appreciate the effort i got nothing but excuses about how alina has been there so many years and she was just looking out for me and how my lashes are weak and so on and so on. What a disappointment. Good for them that they have had great success but it happens, once in a while you get one person (me) who isn't satisfied. Why don't you try and make it better instead of giving me excuses. I've been coming here for a few months now and I love it. Sunny is the best! She is so sweet and gentle with your lashes. I really like how you come in and they have you wash your lashes. When I moved to Irvine, I found Julie on yelp and started getting my lashes done to prep for my wedding in May. She has quite the eye for detail,and knows how to apply lashes that are unique to your eye shape. Julie is the pioneer of lashes extension and have been doing it almost a decade. Many of us have been a client of her for years...now that is a significant thing for some of the new lashes fans. Let me try to explain why this is so special: 1) lashes are a delicate thing and if you can continued to have mainenance for years - you need to have a super expert that NEVER risk the chance of you losing your own lashes. Sadly many new comers may be able to do great lashes (the first few times) but they jeopardize your natural lashes and very soon...you are losing your own lashes and after a few months - your lashes are thinning and spotted... you will have to go to someone like Julie to repair and grow them back and handled it with real care. Lashes are not about how full it they look the first day, if you are want to continue to have them - you have to find someone who use the best product and just glue a chunk of them on your tiny lash...the long term damages can be very bad. 2) Again, many of her clients are pretty secretive about going to Julie...haha why? because for years, many of us probably never told friends that we have extensions ;) People never asked me where I have extensions - they always praised how lucky I am to have such full lashes and what product/mascaras I use to make them look so pretty...haha - Julie's work are so natural (she does them 1 by 1 - instead of a chunk clum that are bad and fake looking at times) ... 3) Julie certifies many lash extension people out there - she teaches classes on a weekly bases and she is very careful, precise and she would not let you out of her class unless you fully get them. I know because at times I get my extensions from July at 5AM in the morning so she can dedicate the next 10 hours of her day to teach 2 students... kudos to her professionalism. All and all, i full endorse julie's work and I will Not let anyone touch my lashes except Julie (or unless Julie is totally unavailable and she makes a recommendation to me for a one time fill with her top student.) Just had my eyelashes filled by Julie. It was my first time seeing her. My original set of lashes and one fill was done by Trang's touch. Trang ruined my eyelashes and left me with bald spots along my lash line. Trang placed clusters of false lashes on my lashes which were too heavy for my natural lash causing them to fall out quickly. Luckily I found Julie. I told her my dilemma and warned her I had lots of bald spots and short lashes since they were just growing in. She fixed my lashes this morning. It's amazing how skillful she was. My lashes are long and feel light!! They feel so natural. She only put individual lashes on so my natural lashes stay healthy and won't fall out prematurely. Just got my eyelashes done recently and WOW! Julie is a very talented woman and she knows exactly what will suit your face. She is artistic when she puts them and her prices are a lot less than other places that are less qualified anyways. She charges 200 bucks for the permanent lashes and 60 for occasional maintenance (every month or so). To me it was a steal because other places charge 300-400 dollars for work that isn't even as good. she is very sweet and can keep up a good conversation while doing such intricate work! She gives you specific instructions for maintenance and you just have to get them done with Julie if you want natural looking eyelashes that give you bigger more beautiful eyes! read more
