I went to Julie to have my eyelashes done because a regular customer recommended her. But I won't go back. While she was applying the lashes, I got glue in my eyes three times. And now, less than a week later, half of the lashes she put on have fallen out. I've had this done before, so I know how to take care of them. Also, Julie quoted me one price in a text message, but when she finished, she tried to charge me more, saying it had been the price for the past six months. I showed her the text with the prices she gave me. Before she started, I signed a waiver saying I didn't want my picture taken, but she took it anyway. And I didn't like how she brought in the next client before I even left. It felt awkward and like she wasn't respecting my privacy. P.S. Cash only and she'll expect at minimum $10 tip. read more

I just spent an hour in Sassy Nails getting a wonderful mani-pedi! Kim was my technician and she did a thoroughly wonderful job. I asked for regular polish and she helped me pick them out. Hot pink for my toes and muted pink for my fingers. I got a hand and arm massage up to my elbows and a foot and leg massage up to my knees. I also wanted a paraffin wax for my feet so she did that also. She also explained gel polish lasting longer and I will do that next time. PLEASE BE AWARE OF WHO DOES YOUR EYELASHES! I got my eyelash extensions done stupidly at a nail salon. Because i was referred and i didn't see any bad reviews. I don't need to hear how stupid i am for going there in the first place i already know so i don't need the extra comments. The first time she did them we agreed on volume she didn't do volume she did classic i have plenty of lashes to do volume so if that was the issue she didn't bring it up she just did what she wanted. Then i confronted her about it and she said to come back in to fix them. She then added a cluster of them to all the eyelashes she applied already the same day. For some reason i had faith she would fix them. After they were done they hurt and were glued to my skin. It hurt to blink! Stabbing me. She also taped down my bottom lashes but put the tape all the way up to my eye ball and cut it. i also got two styes that thankfully went away I got the eyelash extensions removed by a certified person who took her time and gently got as many off as she could. It took 2 hours to do a 10 minute service. Because the nail place used what is possibly nail glue or hair glue to glue the lashes on. I've had two lash technicians confirm that not ANY lash glue should take more than 10 minutes to get off. It also should take 15 minutes to dry which she made me sit with a fan on my face for 15 minutes DO NOT GO TO SASSY NAIL AND SPA IN CAMERON PARK.I went and got my money back and the lady Julie who did my eyes wouldn't come out and apologize or say anything at all. Instead she yelled from the next room over. Very rude! Very messy and dirty inside clump of hair on the ground and the garbage was over flowing I now can't go back for over a week because the glue is still hard on my eyes it won't come off! Please share! This isn't going to happen to me without it blowing up she will get in trouble EDIT: it really baffles me that just because so many others like Julie that it just be impossible for her to mess up and do someone else wrong. What happened to me happened. I'm sorry your offended just because she may do good for you doesn't mean it's impossible to do bad on someone else. I have been told by so many people what she used on my eyes was not meant for the eyes so say whatever you want call me a liar but this happened to me and i don't need to be laughed at it's not ok. read more

I came here to get a full and TONY started with attitude and saying my nails would be hard to do because it has....DIAMONDS. So he ripped at my cuticles and did the nails uneven and thick. I asked him to file them down and I said these don't look even. He got mad and said leave then no charge. It's 6:45 pm and he was VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. I used to think Sassynails was a really good spot and Julie is nice and all but she does not care for lashes like you are supposed to, as seen in the pictures. I have heard multiple times that Julie doesn't use the right glue, do correct cleaning, or group together your lashes to the false lashes correctly. If you go to Julie, don't be surprised if your lashes fall out. BACK AFTER VISITING A COSMETOLOGIST I had already posted a review with pictures of someone warning me not to go to Julie/Sassynails and spa for eyelashes. Here I am again, after going to a different cosmetologist to inspect and do a lash bath on my ruined eyelashes. Julie did not tell nor teach me how to clean my eyelashes and someone with no clue or knowledge about eyelashes, I didn't think I needed to do anything. Granted, I should have researched on my own, but I didn't. My new Cosmetologist had to remove the eyelashes Julie had done with an eyelash remover, and explained to me that when taking off regular eyelashes, it only took 30 seconds and they would come right off. Mine took over 40 minutes to get off. She said that Julie was using 4x the eyelash glue that should be used, if it was even eyelash glue. She also said that eyelash glue Is only accessible to those who have a legal license, and are ensured. Hence why Julie may be using a different glue that is not meant to be on the eye. I was told by Julie that I was getting a mix of classic lengths, but each time, they seemed to be getting thicker and longer. I asked her why but she just insisted since I waited so long to get a fill (around 4-5 weeks-- which by the way, is not normal at all) that they just look more thicker than I am used to. Looking back on pictures, I see that I was stupid to believe that. My new cosmetologist saw fake lashes attached to my EYELID. They were extremely hard and painful to get off. ((((((BEWARE))))))) by not cleaning your eyelashes correctly and by not using the right glue, the hair follicles on your eyelid can be damaged PERMANENTLY and your eyelashes will NEVER grow back!!!!! BLINDNESS can also be caused by the infection of all the bacteria that grows on your eyelash called Blepharitis. It is impossible to see yourself so if you have been getting your eyelashes done at this salon or anywhere you think is unsafe then get it checked out by your doctor, you may need antibiotics. Note: eyelashes are not supposed to fall out. If properly taken care of, your eyelashes should remain in full tact. This is a rumor that eyelashes fall out through extensions because people do not properly wash/care for them. read more

The chairs they had installed recently are really comfortable to the point I nearly fall asleep while getting a pedicure, LOL. I asked one of the ladies in there that seemed to be in charge to see if she could fix one of the nails that had lines in it from the other nail lady messing it up and the lady responded with, "Dont ask me you have to ask the lady who did it." My daughter's and I came here for the first time today to get pedicures. The ladies seemed polite and efficient but the similarities end there. The woman who was doing my pedicure was more concerned about the lady who came in 10 minutes after we did, she was a 'regular' So much so that she skipped my massage, and skimped on the callous removal which was included in the idientical pedicure I watched my daughter receive next to me. Katie did a fabulous job on the two pedicures my girls got. I have no idea what my lady's name was as she didn't answer me when I asked her any questions. They suck. We walked in, they got my friend in who only was getting a pedicure and we were getting a pedicure and manicure but told me and my other friend to sit and they would be with us shortly. Not busy, 1 employee was sitting watching TV. We were sitting for 20 minutes and then asked how much longer and they told us another 15 so we waited longer and still haven't been helped. Its not bad. This is my second time here with my friend. We haven't had a bad experience. Not bad for a girls day out. Get your nails done then get amazing pizza next door. This place is very small though. It can be hard to find parking sometimes if other businesses get busy since It's in the same parking/shopping center as Valero gas. They have lots of cute colors and cute designs, which is awesome because I don't do the same color twice. They have so many different colors and shades. I got a full acrylic nail set. Wrong length, all of them are dfferent lengths as well. The nail polish was clumpy like they needed new polishes, the polish they painted on my nails looks like it was done by an amateur. The acrylic laid is shit, very bumpy and uneven plus no arch it's just straight nail except for the bumps. Not enoughacrylic either, on some nails my nails already feel like they're going to fall off and I just got them done today. TERRIBLE costumer service as well, very rude and unpleasant. I recently moved here to Cameron park and was looking for a place I can regularly have my nails done. I found this location on my way to picking up my boys from school on 9-14-15 and asked if they had time to do a full set in 45 minutes. The lady said "Yes, sit down right now we will do it now" she then had a man come over and start doing my nails. an hour later he said "Ok you done" he charged me 22 dollars then an extra 5 dollar charge for only painting the tips. I was OK with it until I went outside into the light. my nails were put on cricked and nail polish was all over my fingers and back side of my hand. It looked like my child tried to do my nails. each nail was cut a different size and to top it all off instead of coloring the tips and having the bottom half of my nails clear, he put pink clear polish under the color. It looked horrible. Even my children thought they were bad (and they love everything) Now that is not even the half of my complaint and why I am doing this yelp review..... I called the place and spoke with the owner that said "here talk to the guy that did it" and the man gets on the phone and tells me to come back in the morning between 9:15 and 9:30. So this morning at 9:30 I came in to the nail place and asked for someone to fix my nails. A little thin girl that was reading a magazine told me "in order to get my nails fixed I would have to wait for the man that messed them up to come into work and fix them. I HAD TO WAIT FOR THE MAN THAT MESSED UP MY NAILS TO COME BACK IN AND MESS THEM UP AGAIN... first off, how dare you tell me to wait longer when I paid for the service the day before, second off if you wanted to keep my service you may have WANTED to make sure I was happy so I would come back on a regular basis. I was very unhappy with this service and I will be speaking with my credit card company to dispute the charges. I ended up leaving Sassy nails unhappy for the second time and finding a new nail place. I now go to Tips and Toes down the street, they were more then happy to fix your mistakes and only charge me a small amount and received the tip you could have had along with an extra tip for the kindness of that staff... if you are looking for a great nail place ... go to Tips and Toes at the cambridge light about a block up the street. read more

The absolute best place to get your nails done! I asked all of my facebook lady friends who they suggested I go to and almost every single one of them said John at Sassy nails. I listened and I am amazed! My nails are BEAUTIFUL! Through every step of the process he'd made sure I liked them or asked if there were any specifications as to how I wanted them to look. Not to mention it is a fun and easy going atmosphere. There were women that came in to get their nails done and brought pictures of how they wanted their nails done and it was no problem.. always a plus that they don't just stick to the airbrush art that they already have.. they'll make any design you want. I have been going to Sassy for years and seen Jon and Julie. I have never been disappointed. I call myself picky, and I'm usually that difficult client that changes my mind when something doesn't turn out quite like I wanted. I have never even gotten a bitter look. The whole staff is friendly and never rude. I'm a single mom with a very tight schedule so most of the time I take my 4 year old. She loves it as well, they always take their time with her and don't just throw on some polish like most places.. Very patient with her little wiggly hands :-) I have turned many people, friends and strangers to Sassy. And have never had a complaint! Last but not least- I have problem nails and have trouble keeping nails from lifting- never now!
