I enjoy getting my gel extensions done here.. last longer, the color stays on for as long as your nails can grow. As far as the tech it's kind of hit or missed when it comes to getting the right nail shape that you end getting, I've asked for round tip and I ended up getting something different as far as very pointy nails. I used to be a regular at this salon but they have gone totally downhill about a year ago. Tonight, I left the salon with two bleeding fingers, nails cut all the way down to my skin and nails that went from an oval shape to I don't even know what shape this is. The guy that did my manicure tonight was basically filing my skin bc he cut my nails so short so after two bloody nails, I told him to just STOP and left midway through. I try to always give small business a second chance. I've been coming to Sassy Nails for a bit since they are just across the street from me, so it's super convenient. But the last and the most recent visit my nails have been mediocre. The nail tech doing my nails was super rough with my cuticles (very painful at times) as you can see from the photos my cuticles took a beating. And this was 6 days from my initial visit. Which brings me to my review. I went back today since my nails started chipping and peeling. Gel nails should last more than 5 days. The owner said that they can fix it. I wanted to change out the color, since it seems the polish was old but she wanted to charge me for a color change. I had already paid over $80.00 for mani/pedi and did not want to pay more. So I settled with the original color since I knew at that point I wasn't going to come back. I was glad they survived the pandemic and they even expanding their storefront, but with the last two mani/pedi and the extra charge to change out the color, sadly I'm going to have to look elsewhere. I did still tip the nail tech since was nice enough to repaint all my nails and not just the 4 that were peeling. 12/15/2023- sharing the chip the next morning of the "fix". I called on a Wednesday and made a same-day 6 PM appointment for my partner and myself after work. By the time we got there, there were two other people waiting in front of us -- the place was very busy. We had arrived at 5:50 PM and I told one of the women at the front that we were there for a 6 PM appointment. She told us to take a seat in two of the pedicure chairs while we waited for someone to be available. My partner just wanted a quick pedicure without color, and I wanted a simple gel manicure. After about 5-10 minutes, someone came over to my partner to start her water for her pedicure. A long time passed, and by 6:20 PM, we still had not been seen. My partner's feet were cold and pruny at this point since they had been sitting in the water for almost half an hour already. At around 6:25, someone finally told me to sit down at one of the nail desks. However, no one came over to me. By 6:30, neither my partner nor I had been attended to. My partner dried her feet on her own and we decided to leave because we did not want to be there any later than we intended, especially on a weeknight. As we got up to leave, we were finally acknowledged by someone for the first time since arriving. She told us someone would be available to help us in 5 minutes. This was very hard to believe since everyone was still very busy with other customers. I didn't see anyone who was even close to being done. Lesson of this long-winded story: if you come here, do not trust their wait times or appointment slots, especially if you have somewhere to be. Another woman was complaining to one of the workers that she had already been there over an hour and needed to leave for another appointment that evening. She was clearly extremely unhappy about the wait time as well. In my opinion, they have a problem with overbooking just to get as many customers as they can. I walked in on Saturday afternoon and they were fully booked but still accepted me for a gel manicure. I wasn't in a rush so I was willing to wait and waited for about 30 min. It was very busy so I'm sure an appointment is best if you can make one. The ladies there were super friendly and checked in with me to let me know they would get to me. I appreciated this since I didn't make an appointment so I didn't mind waiting. There's no waiting area really so there were just a few chairs at the door that you can sit at. They have a large variety of options including dipping powders. Everyone was super friendly. The lady who took care of me was very nice and took care of my nails. Everything went smoothly and my nails look great. $30 for gel manicure, $29 if you're paying with cash. So bring cash as it's a few dollars cheaper! My experience was awesome and I would come back if I'm in the area again. It's in a plaza so parking is easy. My only complaint is that the nail salon is extremely cramped so there's not enough space to walk around. The store is really narrow (walking space for 1 person plus a massage chair/pedicure station. So when it was busy it feels pretty stuffed and not the most comfortable experience. But, I'm happy with my nails and the service was great. read more

I didn't like my original dip color so she quickly did her magic and made the shade of yellow lighter. She then freehanded the design I asked for and it came out great. I just need to mention that she did it on a Friday afternoon while many people were outside waiting to get their nails done; she didn't let the pressure & stress get to her, and my nails still came out beautifully. I really appreciated this because I've been to salons where the nail techs do a rush job in order to quell the line, and it comes out terribly. Definitely best to make an appointment early on weekends cause they do get too busy to take walk-ins/appts. They do honor appointments mostly on time which is nice! I showed a picture of what I wanted with a little twist and I love the results. Kim took care of me and took her time and communicated thoroughly with me about what I wanted. I called in advance to schedule an appointment with Kay because this salon can be very busy especially with nail art design requests - so you want to make sure Kay does your design. I requested a full set of nude marble nail art on dip powder...something that I have always been told I couldn't have done with dip, until I met Kay! Today was my first time getting my nails done since the start of the pandemic AND my first time getting them done here! This salon did not disappoint!! I am pleased to say that this is my new go-to salon! I feel like most of the salons I have gone to have always tried to rush me in and out, leaving me unhappy when I leave. While this salon does accept walk-ins, they will only take you in if they absolutely have time and can leave you with a smile on your face. If you plan on getting your nails done, making an appointment is 100% worth it with this salon. Today Kay did my nails and gave me the most amazing set I have ever had. Sometimes nail technicians can be too hasty - not Kay though! Her attention to detail was flawless and every step of the way she would double check with me to make sure I was satisfied. Loved my nails at first, until I got home and realized there was major gapping in between my real nail and artificial nail. I returned to have the issue resolved however the nail technician denied that there was any issue saying that this was normal. Gapping should not occur after a fresh manicure. I asked if someone would be able to glue it at least so that debris and dirt would not get between my nails and she refused. She offered to remove my nails, but was adamant that they would not be refunding me. It was a very poor experience and poor customer service.
