Came as a walk in to get a new set for an upcoming trip to Las Vegas. I was helped immediately. I was impressed by my nail technicians ability to capture exactly what I wanted. She was very clean and wore gloves which I always appreciate. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but she was so nice and made conversation. Prices are unbeatable. It's really hard to find consistent nail technicians for reasonable prices. I will have to try their pedicure service next time.

Needed dip removal and was able to drop in right after I called. I was in and out in about an hour. The team there hustles, but in the hustle they still have great attention to detail for their guests and cleanliness. I had all 3 of the workers assisting me at different stages and hand offs were clean and no info missed between. Super efficient and friendly.

Happy to have found a new go to nail place in Peninsula! I've gotten my nails done by the same person three times there (I think Lua is her name) and they've been amazing every time. I show her photos of what I want and she replicates it perfectly. Beautiful every time!! Only reason it's not 5 stars is because it does take a while to get acrylic done here since there's only like 1 person who can do it so sometimes even with a reservation you can wait 15-30min if they're with another customer. The actual time to get the acrylics also takes longer than I've noticed at other salons I've been to but I don't mind this as much because they are so precise and the end result is so perfect so I appreciate the attention to detail! Just have to make sure I set aside 2 hours instead of 30-45min.

I needed a cleanup of my cuticles for both my fingers and toes and opted for clear polish - Decided to upgrade my pedicure for an exfoliating scrub and paraffin treatment. No complaints overall, I had one person working on my toes and someone else working on my fingers. I was in and out in an hour and am happy with the outcome.

Love how they were able to take me in as a walk in. I showed them a photo of the color I wanted and they made 2 samples on fake nails to show me. I was a walk in on a Thursday afternoon and luckily there was no wait. I got a pedicure and a gel manicure. I was amazed by how clean and sanitary this place is. The tools used were in those sanitary bags that you would see at the dentist. Hot towels were piping hot and very comforting. My gel manicure turned out very nice. It's what I wanted but even better! It was nice that I got a stamp card afterwards as well. I'll be back! read more

I loved how the lady doing my pedicure took her time and really paid attention to what I needed. My friend got the gel manicure and pedicure and she also loved it. best nail salon in daly city and extremely worth the price. i've only gone here two times, but with good reason. everytime i get a pedicure it lasts forever. like i'm not joking when i say i got a pedicure in july and the polish did not chip or crack. even with trimming my nails it stayed on until removed the polish themselves when i got another pedicure in december LOL and it wasn't even gel! all the ladies that work here are very friendly, pay attention to detail, and don't rush what they're doing. that's hard to come by nowadays. the last time i was here, Josie (i think that's her name) did my pedicure. she took her time cleaning my cuticles, scrubbing my feet, & applying polish so there were no bubbles. i got regular polish but when i got home my mom was convinced i got gel polish because it literally looked that perfect LOL and for $35 it was worth every penny unfortunately i don't live in the area otherwise i would be a frequent customer but i now make an effort to drop in whenever i'm in town visiting family. i wish they existed when i was still living in daly city. next time i will get a mani/pedi to see how well the mani holds up! can't recommend this place enough read more

The ladies are super nice and welcoming, I love their attention to detail and how they really made an effort to perfect their work. Susan din my Pedicure and the service was great, she carefully painted them and Wow my toes look amazing. No streaks or bubbles. The scrub and massage was a huge plus bc I've been to a couple of places where they neglect that. Lua did my Manicure, I got the full set Acrylics and all I can say is I can't take my eyes off my Nails, it's my best set yet! (i also have white bunny on my toes but won't post it here TRUUUUST tho cuz it's really so good) My new go-to!! read more

It was $66 with the 20% off grand opening promotion they were having. They pay very close attention to detail and after every step made sure I liked what my nails were looking like. Their shaping was spot on and their French tip was just perfect. Super friendly and super nice and just overall a great experience. I will be coming back again! The service was amazing. they were both so so sweet and she did an incredible job on my nails. she gave me exactly what i asked for. the first pic is what i asked for and the second is what i got (minus the gold flakes, i didn't want that). she was so particular and spent a lot of time filing to make them perfect. and it only took an hour! she did an incredible job hand drawing all of my designs. the prices are very reasonable too. i 100/10 recommend! read more

This place was recently renovated and now is under a new ownership and I love how it looks very clean! I've been going to Lua (prior to this place) and I love her and her work. My boyfriend and I went in for a mani and pedi and we both love the fact that they were very detail oriented and took their time despite the fact that they were getting super busy. Lua has been doing both my manis and pedis but since they were busy, Oanh did my gel mani and it came out super clean and crisp. If you love the clean, square look Lua or Oanh are perfect for either manis or pedis. Not to mention they have 20% all services until Nov 8!! My bf paid $77 for everything --- super worth it! read more

Recently moved back to the area from San Jose. I'm so used to getting the best mani pedis, and no other place has really compared, until now!! I called to take my dip powder off from a different salon, and wanted a new gel mani. This is the fourth salon in the area I've tried so my expectations weren't very high. I came in about 30 min before closing as they told me to come in and the guy got right to soaking my nails. He was so nice, and we had great conversation. I noticed the place was very clean and didn't smell like chemicals or anything. Then Laura began drilling and she was so gentle, never cut me or hurt me, or made the drill too warm in one spot. She cleaned my cuticles so well- the best I've ever had! She was so meticulous and very detail oriented- just what I've been looking for. She did 4 coats of gel, which is so nice, and did an amazing job. She gave me a hand massage and a warm towel after. Best gel mani I've gotten and I'm SO particular. Total was $48 for removal and new gel. I'll most definitely be back soon! read more

Lua is the best! She is so meticulous with her work, and she is fast too. She keeps her shop super clean. I recommend calling ahead. She happily accepts walk-ins, but those who do should understand that they may have to wait. Lua has a lot of loyal regulars, so she gets booked. I've also had mani-pedis from the others in her shop, and they do great work also. read more

the most efficient, attentive, and sweet ladies around. called about a fill and they told me to come asap! i waited a little looking at colors while the woman who was going to do my nails finished up a pedicure. she noticed i wasn't finding what i wanted so she came over and handed me more colors. very clean, i watched her change gloves in front of me, and the attention to detail and checking in throughout was incredible. my nails came out perfect and the price was very reasonable. read more

A place that cuts corners…read more Came for a gel manicure, then came to remove it. Nothing went wrong with the application of the gel nails, but weeks later, I realized the gel removal was done completely wrong... I'm not someone who gets their nails done; at best, I maybe get them done once a year or two. When I came for the gel removal, the technician used a type of electric grinder to grind away the layers of the gel coating. That was it, grinding only. Like I said, I'm a nail newbie, so I thought this was maybe a new way to remove a gel set (instead of using an acetone wrap or something). When the grinding was done, the top color of the gel set was gone, but there were still patchy areas of a clear base coat (or something of the sort). I thought it was no big deal since the color that was left was clear and I figure I'd just cut my nails once they grew out. Totally wrong. After about two weeks, the remaining clear coat has now turned an ugly brown color that literally looks like my nails have been stained by shit. The kicker? I can't even paint over the ugly nails because my nails are now super brittle, frail, and sensitive; just putting a little extra pressure against my nails actually hurts. Again, I'm not someone who gets their nails done often at all, and never had any issues with brittle nails, so I think this nail damage was caused by the removal process. I don't even want to come back and ask them to remove it more thoroughly because I simply don't trust them. A quick google search enlightened me: you can use a grinder to remove the gel coating, but only so you can then apply acetone for an easier removal of the remaining gel to protect the nail quality. So based on the way the technician here removed the gel, I feel like they cut corners just to save time and didn't care about harming my nails. The only reason I didn't give this place flat out 1 star is because the gel manicure itself did last a long time (over four weeks). If you're coming here, BEWARE and call them out if you notice they're doing something wrong! Don't end up like me!

TLDR: Avoid this place!…read more I came to Sunny twice - once to get my nails done and then weeks later to get the hard gel removed. Both times I had a negative experience. I only returned the 2nd time because Sunny made a big fuss about how other nail techs don't know how to take off products carefully but she does....boy was she WRONG. Sunny is unfriendly, rude, judgemental, and likes to argue. She has been late both times to my appointments as well. I got tip extensions because I wanted a little length. She expected me to have my nails super long but I asked her to cut a lot shorter and she got mad and proceeded to argue with me. I asked her to remove the tips so I can leave, because I don't want her doing what she's not comfortable with and I don't want to get something I didn't ask for. She refused and kept arguing and then ultimately said she would do what I asked for (I sent pictures beforehand, asked questions, and she accepted my request and scheduled me). She assumed I wanted an almond shape but I told her I wanted square, and she got annoyed and mentioned most of her clients prefer almond. She's pretty rough on the hands and nails, and doesn't carefully file the nails. She charges extra for a manicure, but she literally spent a couple minutes "cleaning" my cuticles. When it came to the design, she complained about how she doesn't do "American style" and only does Asian style...and how she usually doesn't do custom nails for first-time clients. Why book me knowing what I asked for and then proceed to complain the entire time? This was the sh*ttiest nail experience. She painted my nails pretty sloppily and then complained how it took her so long to do my nails. In the end, she started rushing because she was running behind and her next appt was already waiting (she yelled at them to wait outside and stop knocking). I returned to Sunny to remove the hard gel because she knows what products she uses and repeatedly has stated in the past that she knows how to do this carefully. My natural nails had grown longer and I wanted to keep the length but they were so brittle by the end she just cut it off and then shaped it round...barely asking and confirming. She doesn't use clean or sanitized tools...and she reuses the same nail filer with all clients. She did such an awful job filing off the hard gel and got too much of my natural nails ans even left scratches and dents in my nailbed. My nails were SO sensitive and are still sensitive (writing this weeks later). When she got down to the tips, she just flicked them off with her fingers and it ended up ripping off and further damaging my nailbeds. I had to trim my nails when I got home because the new growth was so flimsy and weak. I continue to trim my nails bc my entire nail bed is overfilrd amd messed up. This is the worst state my nails have been in and I can't believe I paid $30 for someone to damage my nails. Avoid this place and give business to nail techs who actually have customer service and care about a clients' nails.

Also, she is pretty rough with the filing - I don't think I've ever had my nails filed so aggressively before. I am open to giving this spot a few more tries as it's down the street from my house, so hoping things get better with time.
