Came in to get my eyebrows done by Nancy and decided to get my nails done as well. Phong took over and did an amazing job! I showed her a photo for inspiration and she executed it perfectly. I even brought my mom during her visit to the Bay Area, and she said she's never had her nails look this beautiful!

I don't ever really like writing reviews this bad, i rather not at all. But the quality of the work is just half assed. This is the quickest i was in and out for a service. One was working on a pedi and the other was grabbing my arm across my chest so uncomfortably. The pedi was good i have to say, but here's how half assed the fingers were. one lady said "see you again" and i said "yeah thank you" and she mumbles something to the girl that did my nails and the girl that did my nails goes "so long" like a sarcastic farewell bc they know the hell im not coming back LOL for the pic, its hard to see bc of the color, but every nail is poorly painted, and damn near looks like i need a fill because she didn't start at the cuticle.. smfh

Everyone was so nice and took care of me, I didn't feel rushed and it was past closing time. The store is very small but the work speaks for itself and it's very clean. You can't beat the prices $109 after tip for a pedicure with hot wax/massage + GelX. (in South Bay that cost about $180 after tip). If I lived closer I would make this my regular spot!

I have been coming here since moving back to the Bay Area in May 2025. The salon is extremely clean, and everyone is so friendly! I've had a variety of different staff members do manis and pedis, and they all always come out amazing. I've also done a few eyebrow waxings here, and the experience across the board is the same - professional, meticulous staff producing phenomenal results. I just got a new set today with magnetic polish, which came out so fantastic that I had to post pictures and leave a review. This salon and all the people in it are so amazing, I can't recommend it highly enough!

The pictures of Wendy's work the business posted and the work she does aren't adding up. Just look at my review pictures and it speaks for itself. The design was supposed to be a sunflower which did a sloppy half a** job at. Polish coat was bumpy, inconsistent, and just a mess. The side of the nails aren't all the way colored and also a mess. Just look at the pictures and do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

My queen Lien did a wonderful Coraline inspired set!!! This is my regular nail spot & they were 75 before tip!

My bestie and I were looking for a new spot and found this salon. We both like completely different styles and both left so happy because we were able to get exactly what we asked for! 10/10 experience. My nail tech Wendy was so lovely and attentive. We will definitely be back. Thanks Wendy for the amazing service :)

Sitting here now and having to listen to another client have a full on conversation about her business. What makes someone think we want to hear her while we are trying to relax. I don't need to hear all about your business budget. Guess I'll look for another salon that has a rule about cell phone usage Also nail polish applied horribly / polish on sides of toes and some spots totally missed which was not noticed till I left and put my glasses on and looked closely ‍ Horrible won't go back and you shouldn't either if u want your nails to look good read more

I had a very disappointing experience at J&J Nails in Millbrae and will never return. From the moment I walked in, there was no greeting or warm welcome. The lady simply sat me down without explaining anything or even helping me turn on the massage chair. The overall attitude felt cold, unfriendly, and honestly grouchy. The pedicure itself was rushed and painful. At one point, she made my toe bleed, which should never happen during a relaxing service. The entire appointment lasted maybe 15 minutes and felt very "in and out" with no care or attention to detail. Even the owner looked unfriendly and unapproachable. For $35, this experience was absolutely not worth it. When people go in for a mani or pedi, they want to feel relaxed, welcomed, and taken care of not rushed out the door. Customer service here seriously needs improvement. Being kind and creating a positive environment goes a long way. The place also didn't seem busy, and after my experience, I can understand why. I have many friends and I'll definitely be telling them not to go here. read more

I'm so happy the amazing owners of Da Vi Nails have moved to J & J Nail Salon! Nancy and Lin are truly the best! I've been seeing them for over 10 years for eyebrow waxing and they've never let me down. They're quick & incredibly consistent with their work. This new location is definitely a step up from their old spot in Tanforan Mall; it's cleaner, brighter, and feels way more relaxing. I had gotten gel on my toes they messed up prepping my natural nail, and I believe they use low quality products or there just not prepping right ecause my whole nail got ripped off from just gel which is insane to me just saying not be be rude but they definitely need better work read more

So glad to have found this place! The salon is clean and staff is very friendly. Phuong is so sweet and listens to exactly what you want. I had a simple gel manicure with an accent nail that turned out so cute. I've been to other salons that are rough and hurt, but Phuong is gentle and the entire process was painless. New owner, Wendy, and she is absolutely amazing! Come check it out if you haven't already. They do acrylics (long, short, designs) mani, pedicures, gel nails, etc!!! I have been following Wendy for YEARS- maybe over 6 years and she is literally one of the best nail technicians ever. This place is definitely a gem. The staff is super friendly, reasonable, and genuinely nice! I would def recommend you to check them out. Also, parking is great! Also, if you look at the reviews down there don't mind the old ones... that was the old salon, they still kept the name tho even with the ownership change. read more

The warm and inviting atmosphere of the shop makes you feel at peace. She is able to create any style manicure or pedicure that you desire. Needed a mani/pedi for a trip and my regular spot was all booked up. I found this spot on Yelp and called to see if they can accommodate me same day at 6pm & they welcomed me with open arms. I arrived one time and they started on time which I love. It's a new spot but they've been in the business for a long time, they just moved locations. I highly recommend them! read more

Wendy is an amazing nail artist!! There has never been a nail person who has gotten acrylics to stay on my nails longer than 10 days, and hers stay even longer than 2 weeks. One of the things I truly appreciate is that they are mostly appointment-only, which means you get quality work without feeling rushed in and out to accommodate walk-ins. The shop has a relaxing, mini spa-like atmosphere, and they offer a beautiful selection of colors to choose from. The owners are very kind and clearly take pride in running a great business. During my appointment, the technician worked very deep into the corners of my toenails. While she was able to remove an ingrown nail on my left foot, the pressure and digging were quite painful. On my right big toe, there was a moment where she was working on the side and had to stop suddenly. By the weekend, my right toe was severely inflamed, and I ended up at urgent care. I am now on a course of antibiotics for an infection, sadly needing to taking them during my vacation. I truly appreciate how kind the team is, but I would urge the salon to be more cautious with how aggressively they handle ingrown edges to prevent these kinds of medical issues for future clients.

I was in town for a few days. Ask my sister if she'd like to get a manicure she recommended J&J nail salon. She had been there once before with her daughter. We met there and had the most wonderful experience with Fong and Nancy. They were very kind. They spoke to us quite a bit, which is very nice opposed to the usual where you go in a nail salon and the employees speak between themselves and don't really speak to you. Our nails came out real nice. Fong did a cat eye paint job that I never had before. Had I not seen it done I wouldn't believe it was possible! It was like she waived a magic wand. We will definitely be back for another fun experience. Oh and bonus, the other people getting their mani or pedis done there were quite happy and we ended up speaking with them making friends and exchanging phone numbers. Comfortable chairs/environment great place. I've been going to Wendy for my nails for almost a year and she is now the owner of J & J nails. I highly recommend her and her salon! She does all types of nails - hybrid gel, acrylics, gel X extensions, etc. and she never disappoints! She is amazing with designs and she is the type to care about what you want/ask for instead of rush you out of the shop. Definitely love her work! Since my bus was a bit late, I ended up arriving at 11.55am only to see that both of the pedicure chairs were occupied and both Alex and Heidi were just starting their service. They told me to wait 30 minutes. Uh... what?! I understand that both Heidi and Alex were working with other clients, but I only arrived 10 minutes late. Since I was so looking forward to my first pedicure, I decided to grab a bite nearby and return afterwards. Once my pedicure started, that's where they redeemed themselves. Alex set up my chair quickly, and Heidi is the one who actually did my toes. They put a back massager on the chair which is a huge plus that I wasn't expecting. I told Heidi this was my first time, and she was so gentle when she filed, buffed, and put lotion on my feet. I felt totally pampered! I asked her to do a design, too, and she did such a great detailed job using white, black, and gold polish.
