My experience at Lalisa was lackluster. I booked my appointment online, but when I walked in it was evident they weren't aware that I was scheduled for that day. I selected a regular pedicure and specified that I wanted a pedicure, but my manicurist decided on her own to give me a gel pedicure. It was only when I spoke up that they said "you should just do gel instead." I was also pressured into picking a color other than the one I would've preferred. My first selection was out of stock (a cool light pink), so they suggested that I try something entirely different that was next to it (a neutral tan color). When I pushed back and selected a different light pink shade, another worker told me that it would be too see through and insisted that I should go for a hotter, brighter color. I begrudgingly relented, but I don't like feeling pressured into multiple choices other than the one I initially wanted to go with. The water was lukewarm and I had a scab on my toe that my pedicurist kept applying pressure to that hurt a lot. I was visibly wincing and flinching. Called this morning around 10:30am and asked if they had an available spot for gel manicure, lady over the phone said yes so I made my way over and arrived around 11:20am. The salon was packed, but all the ladies were very nice and greeted me as soon as I walked in. Around 11:50, I sat down in the chair showed Jenny my inspo pic and she went straight to work. She works super fast and efficient, does not feel like she's rushing her work. I was done before 12:15pm. I finally came across Lalisa Nails page on a last attempt after searching through Yelp for a good few days. I was able to make my reservation via Booksy and they were availability for the date and time I needed. The day came and overall I was really happy with how my Gel X and pedicure came out. They were able to do both service at the same time, which I absolutely appreciate! They also checked to make sure I was ok with the color I picked for my pedicure since I was really picky on the type of nude pink I had wanted. Jenny did an amazing job on my nails. I showed her what I wanted and she was able to duplicate it for me! Overall, I would recommend this place. Definitely make an appointment in advance, the location isn't big. It was my first time at Princess nails and I'm glad I ventured in. The place is quite small and in times of COVID, there isn't much place to spread out. They have 3 pedicure chairs and some nail stations. I made an appointment ahead of time but I actually arrived a bit early and they sat me before my actual appointment time. My pedicure lady's name was Kim and she did a great job. I hadn't had a pedicure in a while so I was a bit embarrassed. She cleaned up my nail bed really good, trimmed my nails, trimmed the sides of my nails that potentially turn into ingrowns, took out all that stuff that accumulates up in your toes nails. Needless to say, she left my toes feeling extra clean and good. I guess people really like her because another lady said, no I want her to do my toes so she left me (sad face) and attended to the other lady. Another lady finished me up by painting my toes nails. She also did a great job painting. I didn't mind that two people worked on me as long as the job gets done well. I made sure to provide a good tip as other places I've gone to don't clean your nails as well as they did here. I will say they did not spend a lot of time massaging my legs. They did massage a bit with lotion but they didn't do all the extra stuff that other places do like the hot towel, hot rocks, exfoliating your legs, etc. I didn't mind because I don't really like that stuff anyway. I want my nails cleaned! Definitely recommending this place, especially if you're only used to a quick touch up and paint. These ladies will actually pedicure the ish out your toes. read more

My friend recommended this place to me because back then the mani-pedi combo was only $25. Now as you can see on the photo attached, the price hiked up to $27 - it's still pretty good for both services. You get to save more since manicure only itself is $10 then pedi is $21. So that's $4 in savings. However, I think they just breeze through and doesn't really clean or nip away the dirt in the edges and all that. I wish they can have more colors as well. If you're doing mani pedi, don't be surprised that they'll ask you to pay in advance. Which makes absolute sense since your nails might get ruined if you rummage through your bag while it's still wet with polish. To be fair, they still took me in even if I came right at 6:30pm. They close at 7 but they still managed to do my mani and pedi. The only thing was they rushed drying my nails and I felt hurried. I was even ushered away because the lady wanted to get home and close the shop - which I understand. Don't know if they'll get paid working past the shop hours. Really disappointing experience. I had booked a reservation for a gel manicure with nail art on Booksy over a week in advance, and when I arrived for my appointment, they asked me to sit. They then proceeded to start manicures on two other women who came in after me. At this point, I knew it would be well over an hour past my appointment time before I was seen. I understand they have limited staff, but if you take appointments, they should be honored or at least acknowledged. Additionally, the salon felt extremely dirty. Underneath the manicure tables were old nail clippings along with used nail files. Their instagram was extremely deceiving -- the photos make it look like an upscale salon that does custom nails, but the atmosphere was lacking and felt unsanitary. This is really just your run of the mill nail salon that is looking to squeeze as many customers in as possible to turn a profit, rather than focusing on service. Given the uncertainty of when I would actually be seen, along with the lack of cleanliness, I decided to book an appointment at a different salon nearby. Hope this helps someone else avoid wasting their precious time! There are plenty of other salons on the Peninsula that value their customers time and place an emphasis on sanitation.
