Mazda collaborated with AAA and that's how Quality 1st came into play. Right from the time my towing was scheduled, an associate promptly called to inform the timing of the pick up and later when the towing driver Lucky Singh showed up, he handled the car so well and got it dropped off at the service center ahead of time. The owner was nice enough to follow up on the service to get feedback too. I'm not sure of the pricing since my car is still under Mazda's warranty but their service was spotless and professional. Highly recommended.

I called my insurance company but the company they provided couldn't assist me as I needed the car towed back to NY. After doing research and seeing good reviews, I decided to give Quality 1st a call. The dispatcher, Peter, who I spoke with was very professional and courteous. They were ready to send out a driver within 30 mins. Unfortunately I was not ready as I needed to have the vehicle moved away from the turnpike through Emergency Services and needed my other family members to come with another vehicle as I had to transfer my personal belongings and family safely. After informing them I was ready, they were still able to have a driver out to me within 30 mins. The driver Chris (I believe this was name, apologizes in advance), was quick and took care of things right away and carefully. He brought my car safely back to NY. I would highly recommend this company as the service was great and pricing was reasonable.

I had an absolutely excellent experience with Gabriel's Towing this morning!! I called AAA and…read morethey contacted Gabriel's for me. The technician, Juan, arrived at my location about 40 minutes earlier than the 60 minutes originally estimated by AAA. Juan was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. The tow wasn't easy because my car was located on the 3rd level of an underground parking garage (at my place of work) with a clearance that wouldn't allow the flat bed to enter it. Juan tried to the best of his ability to trouble-shoot the electrical problem with my car -- I was so grateful that he somehow got the malfunctioning car alarm to stop going off -- Thank goodness! A colleague of mine was able to help tow out my car with his large SUV-truck (which does fit in the garage). In coordination with my colleague, Juan expertly steered the car out of the garage and then used the momentum of the exit ramp to coast my car onto the flat bed ... It was a sight to be seen! During the entire process, Juan was professional, respectful, funny & encouraging. I would highly recommend Gabriel's Towing, and especially Juan as the technician.

On July 3, 2026 at approximately 8:00 p.m., a group of young women went to Los Boricuas Auto Repair…read morepreviously known as Gabriels Towing and Repair to retrieve a towed vehicle. They were informed that the cost to release the vehicle was $350 and were repeatedly told that payment could only be made in cash. According to the young women, employees made unnecessary remarks and displayed a demeanor that left them feeling uncomfortable and pressured to pay simply so they could retrieve their vehicle and leave safely. When they explained that they only had approximately $275 in cash, there was considerable back-and-forth before employees agreed to accept the lower amount and release the vehicle. The women state that they were not provided with any receipt or documentation for the payment they were made to pay in only cash. If these events occurred as described, they raise serious questions regarding transparency, professionalism, and compliance with New Jersey consumer protection and towing laws, including the Predatory Towing Prevention Act and the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act. At a minimum, customers should expect respectful treatment, clear explanations of charges, reasonable payment practices, and documentation of any money paid. Based on this experience, I would strongly encourage anyone dealing with this business to document all interactions, request itemized receipts, and familiarize themselves with their rights under New Jersey law. If you ever feel unsafe or pressured into something that feels illegal, walk away and notify law enforcement immediately.

On July 26, 2026 John's Auto & Truck Repair, LLC. was called to the public marina dock in Long…read moreBranch on River Ln. to tow my Jeep and trailer due to expired plates on the vehicle. The tow truck driver was informed that towing the Jeep and the trailer would mean that my personal watercraft would remain abandoned and unsecured at the public dock. He informed me that I would be able to get the release paperwork from the Long Branch Police Department and retrieve my Jeep and trailer at 8 AM (when the business opens). The next day, I immediately proceeded to the Long Branch PD and got all of the paperwork in order with the appropriate registration. "Released" docs were issued. I called John's and spoke to the owner, who informed me that the company only accepts cash and that the invoice wasn't processed since he wasn't yet in the office. He mentioned he would call me back. As I sat in the bank parking lot for 30 minutes, I called the number back and spoke with an employee in the office. He mentioned that the paperwork wasn't completed, but that typical tows would be in the $300 range. I took out $500 as a precaution. When I proceeded to the business, he informed me that the owners were still on their way and would be there in 5 minutes. After 20 minutes of waiting, I proceeded back to the desk, confused as to why my Jeep was still not retrievable. John's Auto & Truck Repair has a contract with the Long Branch Police Department to serve the public according to its hours of operation. At this point, they were playing games about the pricing and holding my Jeep hostage while my personal watercraft remained docked and not secured at the Long Branch Marina. I informed the desk employee that I would be calling the Long Branch Police to rectify getting my vehicle back. He returned the "released" forms to me and encouraged me to give them to the police. The police dispatcher recognized my frustration and also my concerns for retrieving private property unsafely left at the city's public marina. Officers were dispatched to John's Auto & Truck Repair. Upon arrival, a husband and wife duo arrived on scene, exiting the car frustrated. The woman mentioned that we "spoke on the phone" and that they were "out getting parts." I was frustrated at this point because it was almost 9:30 AM. No citizen should have to wait 90 minutes at the whim of a towing company and cash deals with the police department to retrieve property. The total cost of keeping my Jeep and jet ski trailer overnight was $460.60. Luckily, I had the $500.00 on hand. The woman asked her husband to provide change, which he did so via his personal wallet. HMMMMM. Meanwhile, they had a difficult time retrieving my Jeep because they accidentally locked the keys in the vehicle. You really couldn't make the situation up. The police remained pretty silent on scene given their Department's contracts with this shady business. Finally, I was able to retrieve my vehicle. The expired plates, however, were missing. The owner informed me that they were taken by the Long Branch Police Dept. He gave me the screws to put my new license plates on the vehicle. This company deserves to be audited for their bad practices and unprofessional behavior. I can't imagine how a citizen might engage with this company not knowing their basic rights. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
