A normal car wash did nothing, nor did the various chemicals the car wash tried. I went to another detailing place, and they said that they could try to remove it with another acid for ~$300-400. I don't know about you, but I don't exactly have that kind of money saved for emergency limestone situations. I was about ready to go on living with splotchy beige stains all over my bright blue car, until I heard about Valhalla. I called first, and they said to come by for an assessment. Ivan took a look and told me for $120 and 60 minutes, he'd sand it off right there. And he did! Before doing it all, he showed me what one spot removed looked like, and noted that some of the clear coating had already been damaged by the limestone. But it was barely noticeable, so I wasn't complaining! I'm so grateful for the efficiency and quality of Valhalla's work. I didn't use Valhalla for typical detailing work, but I imagine that if they can deal with the tough stuff, the average detailing would be great! They do mobile detailing (where they pick up your car for you), but if you decide to head over there yourself, note that the shop is hard to see from the road. They insisted that I had tire rot, but could not reconcile that diagnosis with the fact that they could not find a leak. I went to another mechanic, who did not try to sell me a tire because they could not find a leak. They suggested an inexpensive bead seal (which I accepted), in case the leak was around the rim and so not showing when the wheel was submerged. The tire survived the four-hour drive and has not gone flat since. My home mechanic thinks that the valve might have remained open after I inflated the tire (which I did on the day before the drive), but then reset after I re-inflated the tire after discovering the flat. Firestone's approach to the problem was a disappointment. I also lost a few hours as I needed to find another mechanic to appropriately address the problem. Ahead of a long drive to get home on Christmas Eve, this was not good.

I noticed the key to the wheel locks was missing and tried calling their service department to simply check if they might have had it on hand/around the shop (they apparently serviced the car and did a tire rotation, so they must have used it). All I asked was if they could check around to see if it was on hand. She nastily refused to entertain the question and told me to call Driveway instead. According to the receptionist, this is a rule from her manager. She was nasty in delivery, shared no real logic behind that rule, and didn't offer any solutions other than to effectively say "not our problem" when all I asked for was to see if they had a key that should have been with the car I bought off their lot in the first place. Whether Driveway (again, a parent entity) was involved, they were paid for the inventory and received my trade in. The fact that there was such bad service is a joke considering I was just asking for them to look. The receptionist clearly demonstrated little to no commercial awareness, because what should have been a simple transaction that would have been at no expense to either party has now turned into an unnecessarily negative experience because of her laziness and a terrible attitude that didn't need to be put on a customer who would have otherwise left a positive review.

Cadillac would only consider replacing and re-programming the entire unit for nearly $2,500, and every other place that I called wanted no part of even looking at it.. I called him yesterday, explained the problem, and he not only fixed it today in less than 3 hours, but he used the replacement screen that I had purchased myself on Amazon, and charged me only a modest amount for labor..
