Such a cute place. Came here while in town since we were a few blocks away. Perfect place to come after dinner if in the area too. We originally tried to come here the day before but they were closed after Easter, so hey the next day was fine. Our boy enjoyed himself :P

I wanted to love this quintessential ice cream/candy shop in the heart of Fairfield and based on the crowds outside, I thought I would. Outside looks so inviting and screams "come in" but it is such a let down on the inside. Dingy, dusty, dirty and none of the candy looks fresh in the plasticcontainers. Countertops are ick, benches outside are ick and it doesn't feel clean by any means. The staff was nice and the ice cream was good- not great- my root beer float was fine. Nothing to rave about but did the job of calming my craving. I really hope that the owners clean this place up and make it the wonderfully adorable place it should be. If you like soft serve - this is the best place in town! Not only do I live for their soft serve - but the entire store is full of sweets & chocolates. I'm talking chocolate covered gummy bears in both milk & dark chocolate. Chocolate covered caramel with sea salt in both dark & milk chocolate. Let's just say chocolate covered everything. Right now my favorite of the moment- are the milk chocolate covered pretzels and caramel with sea salt. Talk about texture. You bite into a crunch and gooey deliciousness. Every time I come to this place I think I'm in Fairfield's version of Dylan's Candy Store with the added bonus of ice cream. You most likely will find this place packed & patrons outside enjoying their sweet treats, while enjoying outdoor live music! The staff is always friendly and wearing smiles! #HatApproved!

Great ice cream (they serve Longford's)! I would suggest pairing it with a waffle, assuming the Waffle Shack is open when you go. Bacon Bliss was awesome! Don't sleep on bacon bits as an ice cream topping. Make sure you take home some candy by the pound.

Excellent ultra creamy and rich ice cream. Unique and original flavors as well as all the classics. Sugar cones, hot fudge, whipped cream, shakes, etc. Huge retail and candy bar also. Very cute interior. Great bistro style seating outside perfect for families to enjoy on a warm summer nite. A fantastic Addison to down town Fairfield.

our ice cream!! two scoops each and it was so big

disclaimer: the following review was written by two college girls who take their ice cream very seriously!!!! if you like detailed ice cream reviews then read on: (visited on 6/17/20) the location is right in downtown fairfield, there is indoor and outdoor seating on the property, and there is a park across the way where you can sit as well. the aesthetic is s adorable! outside doesn't match the inside but in the best way possible. super neon, a bunch of candy inside, adorable. the quality of the ice cream is really good!!! great mix ins and consistency, not too rich or sweet. the menu was kind of small, but all of the flavors are super creative. so many interesting options and we had a very hard time deciding. they also do sundaes we didn't order but looked amazing. a little pricey, but they really made sure you paid for what you got. $6 for a medium, $3.50 for a small. definitely worth it if you can eat an entire medium. overall score: 9/10

It's not unique anymore. One of the draws of going here was to walk in and see all the liquid nitrogen and making the ice cream. It's just not fun anymore. Also, they served my bubble cone in a plastic cup? That was weird. The inside is also in need of attention. The lighting was dim and it was pretty dirty in there if you stand and look around. It's like it hasn't been deep cleaned in 10 years. There's also no restroom! People seemed nice to us. I won't complain about them. It seems like a lot of kids working, to be expected. It's basically a fast food ice cream chain so what can be expected. The real issue is, they need a manager there running the ship. The crew was all over the place when I was there. They kept looking at the order receipts, running around chaotically. Asking each other questions etc. I think they need a boss or someone there that can help the crew out with direction. I think lack of management was the issue. I recommend spending your money elsewhere. Go find a mom and pop place nearby. This place is just not as "cool" as it once was.

Love how he gives college kids (or high school) the opportunity to work. That's so awesome. Who doesn't want to support giving back and building community? Love coming here when in Black Rock. Re: other reviewer who lived in Black Rock but didn't know it existed and thought it was unclean. First of all, what bots don't notice their surroundings? Sadly, a lot of people these days which kinda makes me moderately ok with the control system. If you're a fool, control is a positive thing. Secondly, yes, Timothy's is funky and old and mismatched and whatever. Who cares?! Dumb Milkcraft is sparkling clean and that's not a place I'm likely to return to ever again. You go to Timothy's for good old fashioned ice cream - not the pristine surroundings - and I personally appreciate the funky. The reviewer best not go to several Black Rock food places that have felines roaming inside (adding to their funky charm). :-). Oh my!
