The little plaza across Andro's Diner, where Kohl's used to be (next to Subway and Dunkin Donuts). They serve Frozen yogurt, have lots of goodies for you to customize your treat. They also make delicious fruit filled crepes, or a blend of yogurt with crepes. The possibilities are endless!!! Per pricing, it is just right! The average drink or treat pricing begins anywhere from four to six dollars. Everything is freshly made!!!! The young lady serving was also very nice. She shared with us that the Thai tea is house made blend, exclusive to their location. How awesome is that?!? This place is all about yummy creativity!!! Five stars for making solid bubble tea in a bubble tea starved area! (I've never tried the crepes or frozen yogurt, so this is a bubble-tea-only review.) Short tea menu, but good pearls and they will adjust sweetness/ice on request. The green tea + matcha green tea - no milk & very little sweetness - are my favorites, and they get major bonus points for being willing to fill my mason jar. Cheers to not wasting plastic! Ok. To the question posed: Does Pearls n Swirls live up to the hype? Millions have asked this question but we finally have an answer for them. We stepped out of the mazda on a hot summer evening and we didn't love what we first saw. The ice cream shop, apologies, frozen yogurt store*, was very boring looking with minimal flavors (mostly fruit flavors as one customer deduced). The placement of the candy in the store was rather noteworthy, although their higher end candies were boxed a little further away. One of the biggest complaints was that the "spoons" they handed out were actually sporks. Another astute customer claimed, "who eats ice cream with a spork." We arrived well before close, but the chairs were already packed up? However, customer service was great and the staff was very warm and friendly. Finally, what you've all been waiting for: how was the ice cream itself? Annnnnnnnd drumroll please ... It was so mid. Pearls n Swirls is probably not worth the rigorous trek from your house (unless you're in the area). read more

Amazing Taro slush!!! I was obsessed with bubble tea in college and was lucky enough to have a Kung Fu tea in town. Now that I moved to CT, I decided to venture out and find something similar. I think I hit the jackpot! I got the taro slush and passion fruit tea. The taro was fantastic, flavor was on point and it was well blended. The passion fruit tea was very refreshing and tastes great. I'm so glad there's a bubble tea place nearby. I've been here twice so far and I like this place and the tea is good. The flavors I tried were honeydew and Thai tea. Honeydew is usually my favorite, but I like the Thai tea here better. The first time I went here the bubbles weren't as chewy as I wanted them to be, but second time around they were chewy. I've been to many bubble tea places in the DMV area and I'm used to them putting a lot of bubbles in their tea so I wished they did here too, but I'm glad there's a bubble tea place close by. We drive 30 min to pearls N swirls just to get bubble tea and the Nutella with strawberry crepes. The strawberries are always fresh did they use in the crepes, and they are very generous with the amount of Nutella that they put in the crepe. The bubble teas come in several different flavors, and they are also very generous with the bobos. The staff is very nice and we've gone several times during the quarantine and they've been very careful with how they run their store during these crazy times. I didn't think there could ever be an ice cream place that I would truly not like-- I mean, who could not like ice cream, right? Having never been there before, we asked the woman behind the counter what she would recommend. She recommended the French style crêpe with strawberries and Nutella and said it was their best one. We were seated and they brought the crêpes over and they had put a huge scoops of vanilla ice cream on them and the crepes were a pale white color, like a tortilla. I've never seen a crêpe that color before. We started to eat them and realized there was something sicky-sweet in them; the crepes had been covered in powdered sugar. The crepes had with something like Nutella but I doubt it was truly Nutella and a strawberry here and there and some whipped cream. It was a overly sweet yuck. The mounds of vanilla ice cream- it looked like they had three scoops on top that was not a good ice cream - it tasted like an ice cream you would get out of bad diner - lots of sugar and no flavor. The whole thing was so bad that I got up and threw it out. My friend and I could not believe how bad it was and that this place had gotten such good reviews. It was truly my first time experiencing that yelp reviewers were so off. However, perhaps they had had something else. Maybe the other selections are good there. I really highly doubt it though. This is my favorite place to get boba in CT. The cashiers are so nice (they went to the high school in my town!) and are pretty fast. I always get the black milk tea and it never disappoints- I prefer it sweet but still able to taste the black tea, and I think they have a nice balance in their drinks. We were excited, again, to find another boba place here in CT. We ordered the green milk tea, half sugar and regular ice (sometimes I forget to change the ice level. Why???) It came with boba, and I don't think that was an extra charge, so that was nice (and also adds a star.) The boba was chewy but a little bland. The milk tea was watery and just tasted like sugar water- I couldn't taste green tea at all. The taste of the bubble teas can compete with contemporary bubble tea/ froyo spots in NYC. The price is also very fair for this location. The only point of improvement I want to mention is the promptness of service. 2 bubble tea orders should be fairly easy to make. With only my order and a gentleman behind me, it took at least 10 minutes to be fulfilled. The gentleman behind me already received his order and left the store by then. If you need a fro yo fix, this is the place. They have at least 6 - 8 fro yo selections, with countless toppings and sauces. I like personally like the mango with simple toppings. When I go here, I don't get much, just enough to satisfy a craving, and the price is right. I can easily come here with my BF and we each get two small cups with toppings for under $9. Went here with my friends recently. The food was pretty great-- we got two crepes, a bubble tea and one of us got some soft serve. The food itself was really good, my friends thought it was delicious. There was also a game cube with Smash Melee there that caught out attention and we wanted to play, to which the person at the counter said we could. All of my friends had an absolute blast playing and taking breaks in between to snack. Stopped in this afternoon for a passion fruit tea with lychee jelly and strawberry banana French style crepe. I was not disappointed! I dare say it has the best crepes in Fairfield County. The froyo is ok, basic toppings. If you are getting a crepe expect to wait like 10 mins as they make it from scratch. It will water down the taste if you are taking it to go. The black tea bobas were some of the tastiest I've had from here to Florida and California. They carry a bit of their own sweetness.
