My grandmother was visiting from another state and needed an emergency dental check up. Not only did Kerry calm my nerves when calling on the phone and talk me through everything and was able to fit us in ASAP, but everyone was calm and inviting and really took care of my 94 year old grandmother and I couldn't be more thankful. I've worked in the dental field for 10 years and have very high expectations combined with an extreme dental anxiety. I visited Saugus Dental today and they far exceeded my expectations and for the first time in my life I completed dental work without the need to be sedated. From the moment I checked in I felt at ease! I had sent my X-rays via email and when I arrived Dr. Tran had already reviewed them and familiarized himself with my teeth. He was kind and thorough! There's a few pre existing conditions he could've gone after but gave a very conservative diagnosis, staying focused on MY concerns. He changed a couple of my silver fillings to white, per my request. When he numbed me, I never felt it! Not even the initial poke. Being in the industry, I'm hyper aware of everything! Dr and his assistant worked seamlessly together and put me at ease. A huge part of my dental anxiety is associated with the noise from the suction, without me even having to ask, the assistant would shut them off between suctioning. I'm so disappointed and upset. I started going to this dentist based on the reviews. Turns out that he was a very good dentist, but keep reading. Now his office manager/front desk/insurance biller/ receptionist by the name of Keri was very rude and unprofessional. I'm in need of 2 crowns and getting them has been a nightmare. Since it's pretty costly they need full payment upfront or they won't even make an appointment. I work for the State and have PPO insurance. My insurance is calming the dentist is a part of the network and he agreed to take patients with my insurance. They're (the insurance and the dentist) agreement is to provide the services, then bill the insurance company. Well I guess it's too much work for Keri. It's a shame that I even have to call my insurance to do her job. Keri told me she can schedule an appointment, but I have to pay for the services upfront and the insurance company should reimburse me. I've left serval messages for the dentist to call me back. I finally got a call back after the dentist who placed my implants for the crowns called Dr. Tran. Dr. Tran said what's the problem??? I guess he has had bad experiences with people skipping out on him. Thank you but no thank you! I'll find another good dentist that doesn't just care about getting paid. Good luck with keeping Keri around. I personally think she's bad for the business. Good dentist, bad customer service. read more

I walked in to Dr Tran for a second opinion on getting 6 crowns to my front teeth... after consultation he suggested filling instead which is the most economic way and made a lot of sense to me.... When my husband and I first moved to the Santa Clarita Valley, we went to a Dentist recommended to us. The office of the Dentist we went to was dated and not clean. I had a crown that they completed for me that consistently "fell-off" and caused me daily discomfort. Then, we found Dr. Tran. We've been going to Dr. Tran for the last 3 to 4 years. That crown that i had issues with was correctly replaced and does not "fall-off", I have a fear of Dentist. However, Dr. Tran is very gentle. He and his staff are friendly and professional. I have to say that Dr. Tran is hands down the best dentist and health profressional I have ever been treated by. He has a team who genuinely cares about all their patients. He is gentle and makes me feel so comfortable every time. I had an accident over the weekend and it left most of my front teeth chipped and broken off. I was in severe pain and looked like a Jack-o-lantern. I assumed I would be without most of my front teeth for months. I was also in so much pain, and couldn't eat or even close my mouth all the way. I was devastated! I called the office and left a message hoping he could get me in after the long weekend. Dr. Tran called me almost immediately and arranged to see me in the office last night on his way home from being out of town. I was so relieved that he was able to see me in the first place. Secondly, I left the office with whole teeth in my mouth! He wanted to make sure I left feeling comfortable and in less pain. He succeeded at doing this. He also set up a time for me to come in today to finish up the work! I was amazed! Dr. Tran is a miracle worker! He has a heart of gold and is so skilled in his practice. I don't have enough wonderful things to say about him. 5 stars is not enough, but that is all that are available. Like many people, I had always had a big fear of going to the dentist. I started seeing Dr. Tran about 8 years ago and haven't had a fear of dentistry since. I have referred everybody I know to him and they have all been thrilled with making Dr. Tran their dentist. I give Dr. Tran five stars. He has been my dentist for two years. I like that he is a perfectionist. That is exactly what I want in my dentist. I needed a crown and he prepared the tooth and put on a temporary. I was a little concerned because I was going on vacation and would not be back for a month. He assured me the temporary would be fine. While on vacation, I ate anything I wanted and there was no problem. My previous dentist had let his dental assistant make and put on a temporary which fell off the next day. Dr. Tran is very gentle and I would definitely recommend him to everyone. read more
