Spartacus is your typical gay sauna. The entrance fee was reasonable. The fee includes a towel and sandals and locker. The towels are smaller than average towels. The facility was spread out over 3-4 floors. The ground floor has the lockers, hot tub, bathrooms, sauna, two steam rooms, and cold room. You walk upstairs to the second floor to access the dark maze, sex swings, video room, and dark halls. The top floor has a small bar, pool, lounge chairs, and open air roof top area. On a Saturday night in September there were about 70 guys in the whole place. The guys range in age from 20's-50's and you'll see all types of guys. Staff was friendly. Lube and condoms were not openly available but are available for purchase. The facility was clean and everything worked well. Staff was friendly. Wifi is free. And its right next to the other gay bars.

The spa itself is very relaxing with aromas of lavender and eucalyptus. Men and women have their own shower, sauna, steam room and changing areas. The spacious hot tub area is co-ed though. They provide you with things like tea, water, dried fruit and nuts. If you prefer to continue or begin boozing it up, I'm sure those arrangements can also be made! The massages are very relaxing sans clothing and could possibly put you to sleep. You can get a joint experience in the same room with your partner/friend. The herbal smells, spa music and dim lighting deliver the typical calming spa ambiance expectations. Most of these ladies speak English also and of course are very solicitous in giving the best experience. Concepcion almost put me to sleep! The spa area in the women's area is a bit compact but still has all the amenities to get ready for a session or get primped up upon exiting. Making appointments ahead is recommended despite my last minute appointments for both of us that morning. If you'd like a break from the boisterous pool activity and perhaps a method of recovery from a late night of celebrating, Haixa Spa is the perfect solution. I would definitely repeat my experience here again!

Because of covid, the facilities were limited, but they had more to offer than I would have expected. Music added ambiance but wasn't the pounding club vibe of some other places. Water in this area is calm and not overly crowded. Maybe I just got lucky, but the people sitting near me were friendly which was nice on my solo trip. The menu looks good, and those around me got their food relatively quickly and had no complaints, but my experience was different. It took forever to get someone to take my order. Well over half an hour, I'd been given no update about my order. When my waiter finally happened to pass by, I asked about my food, and told him to cancel my cocktail and just bring me water. I was so dehydrated and hungry . The water didn't take too long (though it should've been faster considering the extended wait already), but my ceviche took at least another half hour to get to me. It looked ok and tasted fine, but within an hour, my stomach turned sour. I spent the next two days feeling sick. It left me wondering if my food had been sitting out. I'm not saying don't go there, but be careful with what you order, and if your food isn't served promptly, maybe cancel it just to be safe.

Spa water, Ice cold face towels/cucumber slices available. You can wear your own sandals or they can provide. Robes and lockers provided too. Wished there were more areas to layout closer to the amenities. They have a nice peaceful space outside to rest and lay out too (however beware of mosquitoes-they love me) You can actually make an appointment to just use the amenities without having to book a service (if there is room, like when it's slow season...clients with spa appointments always get priority) The massages I have gotten there have been wonderful. I strongly recommend Beatriz (Betty)! Book her and keep her busy Good pressure, strong hands, attentive and friendly (speaks English ) I got three 80minute Swedish Massages! Each time was better than the last! (My sister joined me once too and we were able to be in the same room, however she does NOT recommend getting Argelia unless you just want to be rubbed. She asked multiple times for more pressure and she didn't comply). Definitely will be back.

A lot of the spa amenities were also closed or non-operational today. No outside Swiss showers and the large coed hot tub wasn't working. My wife and I did use the smaller outdoor hot tub (we were told rather rudely that the hot tub we were in was "men only" - no signs and everyone was wearing bathing suits in the outdoor area so not sure why this was a rule). Like many of the facilities at Vidanta - which attempts to cater to all price points, they fall far short in the luxury category. You can't make all the people happy all the time, even though they try. The massage technicians were ok. The facility itself was poorly designed and in need of repair. As in there are loose - sharp - tiles in the steam room. In a room where there is always limited visibility, do you really want sharp little 1" tiles loose right where someone will sit bare assed? Overall, this is probably an amazing spa for someone who has never been to an amazing spa. If you've been to a decent spa you'd probably think this was OK. If you been to a really nice spa (in PVR, the Hotel Mousai spa is probably the best) you'd sit in the hot tub and write this review to warn others. Update: bill for a 50 minute couples massage - no add ons - $10k+ (Pesos). So out the door over US$700. More than what we pay at the Wynn Las Vegas!
