Very nice workers. The gym that is attached is clean and well maintained. The spa always has issues unfortunately. While we were there, the sauna wasn't working and then they said it was turned off. This spa is located in the Marriott, which has an incredible main lobby area. We weren't staying here but we walked over to do the hydrotherapy circuit. Their circuit is super affordable, about $25 US (depending on exchange rate), which is about half the average price we found in the area. Service was friendly. Their facility was very nice but short of extravagant. It was actually rather small. Our disappointment was that at no time during booking or check-in did anyone notify us that their steam rooms were out of service. Steam is 1/4 of the circuit and it was unavailable. Also, the sauna was warm, but definitely not hot. After 10 minutes we were just starting to sweat. And their cold plunge was cold but not freezing, as it should be. Overall, I'd go back because of its accessibility, but with significantly moderated expectations. read more

My husband and I stayed at the Marriott PV for the weekend and I had a chance to visit this spa while at the resort. I got the full-day pampering package which was absolutely divine! It included a back massage, facial, and pedicure. It was worth every peso. The place was fairly empty so it made me feel like I had my very own private spa for a few hours. This spa is absolutely beautiful, found inside the Marriott hotel in Puerto Vallarta. As soon as you enter the spa, there is an overall peacefulness. I signed up for the 50 minute agave body scrub where they basically scrub your whole body with the agave sugar and oils. They give you a robe to change into and a locker to place all your belongings. The room was dimmed down and had an amazing aroma that made the experience very peaceful. Once the scrub was over, I am sent to shower which is in the same room to remove all the sugar. After the shower, they gave me a massage for another 15 minutes. The scrub itself I felt could have been a little better, I expected to get cleansed completely since that is how Korean body scrubs usually are. This scrub was more of a relaxing massage. After the scrub, they let me use the rest of the facilities of the spa which include the jet pools and a relaxation room. I especially enjoyed the relaxation room; it had a selection of hot teas to drink from, a water tank with cucumbers, apples and mint. I was able to enjoy my drinks on a beautiful loft chair with a blanket. After enjoying the relaxation room, there are private showers with all essentials to wrap up the spa experience. read more

Wonderful spa. So many different spa options. We did two sessions, both massages, both wonderful. I highly encourage one to use all the spa amenities. I loved the eucalyptus and peppermint steam room as well as the relaxing room. It is a beautiful spa and wonderful service. The prices are like any full spa, so if you're okay with splurging it is worth it. Highly recommend. They also have great products available at the spa. read more

Great overall experience. We did a day package with massage, pedi and facial. All was great and very relaxing. Stay as long as you like before or after any package. They have separate male and female lockers with jacuzzi, cold plunge, hot plunge, foot soak and sauna and steam rooms. The quiet rooms are also separated for men and women. They offer plenty of water bottles and have hibiscus tea in a pitcher in the quiet room. Bring your swimsuit. They will have a robe and slippers for you. read more

I enjoyed my time at the spa located at The Puerto Vallarta. My visit began with my consultation with Maria, the spa representative in the hotel lobby. Together, we planned an agave sugar scrub, followed by a hot stone massage treatment. The spa, like the entire hotel is spotlessly clean. One is welcome to use the hot and cold plunge pools, jacuzzi, foot bath, steam and sauna as well as the relaxation room, where you are offered herbal tea. There, you may relax in quiet. Next I was ushered into the treatment area, a private cabana with shower and bath. Brenda, my treatment specialist, then began a sugar scrub to prepare for the stone massage. I enjoyed this massage very much. Brenda seemed to know just where to add the correct pressure. She used her hands and forearms to melt away the tension and aches in my back. Placing the warm stones in my hands, on my lower back, and right under my next was really relaxing. After two hours with Brenda, I really do feel refreshed and renewed, but mostly just really pampered. Nothing was rushed, all focus was on me for that time. Thank you Maria, in the lobby, and Brenda, in the spa for making this part of my stay so very nice. The spa is located inside The Marriott at The Marina, and by the way, the Marriott is filled with a kind and gentle staff who really do take care of us, the house guests. read more

Best massage I've ever had. Located inside the Marriott, I went with a deep tissue. They were running a 2 for 1 special on 80 minute massages so I invited my buddy along for a couple's massage. For $120 total before tip this was well worth it. They tell you to show up 30 minutes early so you can enjoy the spa before the massage treatment. They have a sauna (the biggest one I've been in), a jacuzzi, a hot bath (which is separate from the jacuzzi), a cold bath, two different showers, and a relaxation room. After your massage is over they offer you a refreshing drink and fresh fruit. This royal treatment is worth every penny. read more

Yasss! I love when a hotel has a quality spa to use while enjoying your stay. And it's even better when access to the spa is included once per day with your stay! I did not take advantage of a paid service (massage, facial, etc) however did frequent the saunas, jacuzzi, and showers/locker room daily. It seems like they always have specials going on if you are interested in a service. The space is really nice and has the right amount of relaxation coupled with functionality. The showers, bathrooms, and vanity area have a amenities for your convenience. They give you a locker key and sandals once you arrive so you can stow your belongings there while enjoying the spa. The staff are so sweet and while they don't disturb you, they are always nearby making sure everything is tidy and ready for you. I felt pampered even without having a specific service there. If you are just looking for a quiet space to get away to read or chill outside of your hotel room...they also have a relaxation room complete with comfy looking lounge chairs and some natural lighting. A few more details... -men and women areas are separate once you go into the spa areas (unless you book a couples massage) -there is a gym/workout room right next to the spa that you are also able to access during your stay, as well as an indoor pool -outdoor tennis courts are available to you (best to reserve your time slot with the staff ahead of time) Do not come to this hotel and forget to check out the spa each day. As all have previously mentioned......The facility is absolutely beautiful, with multiple pools & saunas, relaxing music, candle lighting everywhere, plush robes and towels, aromatherapy, the works. I had made an appointment for a "Deep Moisturizing Facial" and an elevated "Spa Treatment Mani & Pedi". (Gel w/the Pedi.) My experience: The facial was the most amazing facial I've ever experienced! Prior to the scalp massage, the technician dipped her finger tips in lavender oil. Ohhhh soooo relaxing! Neck and shoulders were also included in the treatment. My previously sun-parched skin emerged moisturized, but not greasy, and I was in a total state of relazed bliss! On to the Mani/Pedi..... Unfortunately, the Pedi was the anthithesis of the Facial....It was so bad, that I didn't even proceed with the Mani. The old gel on my toe nails was manually removed with an emory board and cuticle pusing tool. ("That will be an extra $10.00, Miss.") While chipping away and peeling off the old gel, pieces/layers of my toe nails were also peeled away. The manicurist struggled to clip my nails......She really appeared to not know what she was doing. By the time she was finished clipping and digging, I was just grateful that no blood had been shed. By this point, I didn't have time for Gel polish, the "Spa Treatment" part of the Pedi, or the Mani, as I had to be at pre-wedding event. So i asked the technician to just proceed with the remainder of the Pedi using regular polishes. When I looked down to watch the application of the basecoat, I noticed that the technician was applying color directly on my nails......No basecoat! When I asked about the basecoat, she replied, "Oh, yes. Let me get it.", as if she had forgotten. I told her to just skip it, b/c I didn't have time for the new color to be removed, in preparation for the basecoat (I knew I had to allot enough time for each coat to dry.) Then, she proceeded to apply two coats of color & a top coat, without any drying time between each coat. My toe nails ended up being a huge, smudged mess. Sadly, the wost pedi I have ever experienced! I was embarassed to be wearing sandals to I don't blame the young woman for the botched-up mess of a Pedi. She clearly had little (if any) and/or improper training. The Spa/Hotel is reponsible for this disasterous experience. I hope that the Spa/Hotel Management is receptive to this review, and makes a huge effort to avoid a repeat of this situation for other guests in the future. A total of 2 stars = 1 star for the beautiful facility. 1 star for the amazing Facial. 0 stars for the terrible Pedi. 0 stars for the not even getting to the Mani. 0 stars for improperly trained employees. read more

First time here in PV and my husband and I decided to try out there spa. I cant say enough. Staff was nice. Spa was amazing. Had it all to myself lol. Massage was worth it. If your ever in town and decide you want a massage I recommend this place. You also have full access to gym and spa facility all day. One thing I did notice is the facility can use some remodeling but other than that everything was good. read more

What a beautiful spa! I live in the area and have a spa membership there. The gym is not huge but it has everything you need and it is seldom busy. There are several personal trainers that can show you how to use the equipment and how to work the parts of your body that you want to work. They are a free service (I'm sure tips are welcome). The spa area is full service with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, showers, etc. All of it is top quality and absolutely beautiful. There are even water stations with different types of waters for cleansing your body. One was wheatgrass. One was some lemon thingy that was awesome. There is even a meditation room. The only thing that I would like to see is a co-ed area. There is no area for me and my gal to sit in a sauna or jacuzzi. read more

I went in the morning and had the place to myself for awhile which was great. Sara gave me the best facial I had ever had. I was so relaxed. She is very good at what she does.
