I was able to wait in the vehicle while they performed the service. They did a quick light inspection at the beginning of the service by checking the headlights, high beams, hazards and reverse lights. Tires were inspected during their multipoint inspection and fluids were topped off as needed before they pulled me through the bay. Excellent, thorough and efficient service and technicians were kind and courteous.

I wish I could give them zero stars because that's what they deserve! I took my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee into their establishment on 1/31/2024 simply wanting my radiation system flushed out and new coolant to be put into my car, which should have been no more than $200.00. Issue #1 began when instead of them draining my coolant and replacing it they switched the thermostat in my vehicle and replaced the housing which cost $265.00, never getting my consent to do so, they called once the work was finished with the price and a time my car could be picked up. When I got my car my check engine light was off, but by the the following day the light came back on and said that my engine temperature was to low and wasn't heating up properly. When I checked my coolant it hadn't been changed. It was after hours and their facility was closed for the night. So, I reached out to the owner (Jack) first thing the next morning on 2/1/2024, he said that it was a misunderstanding and if I still wanted to get my coolant drained he would discount the price and charge me $100.00, I was reluctant but went through with letting them do the work, and dropped my car back off to them on 2/2/2024 to get the coolant flushed. The check engine light was off and the car seemed to be working properly when I picked it back up the same day. On 2/3/2024 I drove my car on I-235 to go to dinner with friends and while on the interstate my check engine light came back on and my car starting shaking and misfiring which it had NEVER DONE prior to them changing the coolant in my car, later that same night my car powered down and shut off while I was trying to park at a bar. It was the weekend and their facility was closed until Monday, so I went to O'reily's and got a diagnostics test done on 2/4/2024 which showed that my car had multiple misfires and suggested that the possible reason was a coil that needed to be replaced, and possible censors. First thing Monday morning on 2/5/2024 I took my car into them and explained what it was doing, the owner (Jack) had a disgusting attitude and said that he wasn't going to "work for free", to fix the issue. Even though my car had never misfired prior to being worked on by his shop. I told him that all I wanted to be done was a diagnostics test to see if his machine matched up with what the O'reily's diagnostics stated, so that we could pinpoint the exact issue and he agreed. On 2/6/2024 the owner called back and stated that my they changed a coil in my car and put new spark plugs in and my car was ready to be picked up and stated that the cost for parts and labor came to a total of $360.00. Again, working on my car without my approval or consent. At that point I was extremely frustrated, but I paid them because I didn't want to risk them trying to keep my car with them for another second, if I disagreed with them. So we paid them and took my car, again when my car was picked up and the check engine light was off, but on 2/7/2024 which was yesterday morning, I drove my car to school at 8:30am, my check engine light came back on and my car started misfiring again. I called the owner first when they opened at 9am and told him what my car was doing and explained to him that I've had too many issues with his facility and asked if the parts they replaced on my car were new or after market parts, and asked for a copy of the receipts for all parts said to have been purchased for my car. The owner (Jack) offered to have me bring my car in a 4th time and I declined, he then screamed into the phone and stated that they are a legit business and that he had receipts for the purchases and then proceeded to hang up on me, I haven't called him back and I don't plan too. I took my car to O'reily's, Advanced Auto Parts, and Autozone for diagnostics test and all 3 test came back and stated that my car was still misfiring, and the coil and spark plugs that I was charged $360.00 for needed to be replaced. I took my car home and parked it, until it was time for me to go to work at 11:00pm and when I tried to start my car it wouldn't start and a burnt smell came from under the hood of my car. As of today 2/8/2024 my car is parked in my driveway and not starting. Within a week I spent $738.44 and my car is no longer starting, so now I'll have to get my car towed to a commercial shop close to my house to get the issues that they caused fixed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL, THEY WILL CREATE PROBLEMS ON YOUR CAR AND THEN CHARGE YOU TO FIX THEM. TAKE YOUR CAR TO A REPUTABLE REPAIR SHOP. THEY ARE ABSOLUTE CROOKS, AND THEY FLAT-OUT SCAMMED. ME, SO BEWARE!!!!!

Two days later, they changed the price again to $2,700. The next day, they said they would give me a 10% "first-time discount" and finally charged me $2,500. All of this was for just fixing the AC. To make it worse, they broke my front bumper in the process. When I asked them to fix it, they didn't take responsibility--instead, they called the police on me. The owner was very rude and unprofessional. I strongly believe they took advantage of me because I am a refugee and not fluent in English. This place is dishonest and abusive. I regret ever trusting them and will make sure no one else from my community makes the same mistake.

Went in for brakes on 2/28/23. Left with brakes and suspension all around. Car was noisier in the…read morefront end than when it went in. Oh, guess the tie rods need to be replaced too. Ok. And still not better. Two months go by and it's apparent that at least one of the new struts has failed. Confirmed by independent shop (our regular shop). Took the car back to Brakes Plus to have the strut replaced under warranty. Found out both struts failed. Interesting and pretty coincidental. Work done on 4/27/23. Went to pick it up after leaving it for a day. Was told there was issues with the stabilizer bars that had to be changed. When I looked surprised, the technician said "oh, didn't someone call you to talk about that?" No, no they did not. Two days later, I notice a lot of grease thrown around the driver side front wheel well. Closer inspection revealed several holes in the outer CV joint seal. Again went to independent shop and they said the holes were undoubtedly caused by heat from a torch, as when someone might cut away a seized bolt in a stabilizer link. At this point we've decided that B+ cannot be trusted to "fix" anything so we had our regular shop put a new CV joint on. All good now right? Nope! We started noticing more and more front end noise again over the next or so. Thought maybe the struts were going out again. Not the case though, as it was found that the bolts on the stabilizer links were not tightened by Brakes Plus. On one side the bolts were almost falling out and the other side were hand tight. We've tried multiple time to get this situation resolved and have only received cursory responses that offer nothing in the way of progress. And we've spent nearly $1,300 having these mistakes fixed elsewhere because we have no confidence that Brakes Plus could competently get us on the road again and not have another issue small or large. In short, if you value your time, money, and peace of mind that your driving a safe vehicle when you leave a repair shop, look somewhere else.
