Savage has always been one of our favorite places. we don't live in the area and wanted to go today to celebrate and eat lunch. we had our Phase One 4 month old service dog ( female chocolate lab) with us. we chose a time and day when the place was almost empty as a part of her training. upon entry the bartender told us she had to leave. We told him she is a service dog When we walked in. He proceeded to argue and belittle us in front of the few customers at the bar. He asked us for papers showing she is a service dog (there is no such thing), claimed she didn't have on a vest (not required but she was in a full control tac harness and short lead with her name on the sides) and made comments about everyone just wanting to take their dogs everywhere even when they aren't a service animal. I went well beyond and explained to him the task she performs for my husband, who is a veteran, and even offered to show his veteran card from the VA. I explained that yes she is youNG and service training happens in phases. She does not bark, does not run off, and stays with my husband. She is just young. He still refused and continued to argue at me despite going through the process of trying to explain compliance to educate him that what he was asking didn't exist and/or is illegal under ADA to protect the business. We left. We will not come back and a place that was special to us is now marked by being called a liar and treated with disrespect to the point my husband had to leave. I was able to talk with Victoria by phone who assured me the bartender would be properly educated and asked us to come back, but there is no way we would go back after that embarrassment. Great vibes! We visited Savage Craft Ale Works on a Friday evening and found it very busy. Luckily, the space was huge, so finding seating wasn't an issue. They had a large outdoor patio (dog friendly, lawn games, live music later in the night), an indoor space, and rooftop seating. We initially chose a picnic table on the patio, but the flies were so aggressive, we ended up switching to the rooftop. For drinks, they had plenty of non-beer options, and I started with the Savage Spritz. This was tasty and refreshing, not unlike a standard Aperol Spritz. I later tried the Blueberry Ginger Mocktail, which was also great - a little more tart, but still refreshing. We got hungry and ordered some snacks for the table - the Mac 'n Cheese Bites, Seasoned Fries, and Chips Trio. The Mac 'n Cheese Bites were easily the best item! They were made with both smoked gouda and cheddar, and were super filling. I later realized that they forgot to give us Ranch, but the bites were great even without it. The Seasoned Fries were very average. The most disappointing item was the Chips Trio. I'm not sure if the Tortilla Chips were just stale, but they had no crunch at all and zero flavor. The Guacamole was good, but the Queso Blanco was very artificial tasting. Overall though, the drinks and the ambiance were the highlight of our experience! However, my cocktail was pretty good, albeit a little expensive, and their selection of drinks was expansive as compared to other breweries. The inside of the establishment was decked out with some really cool artwork, and the inside was very spacious, sleek, and modern. My favorite part of Savage Craft was the outside lawn area, which was situated on artificial grass and had a lot of tables that you could sit at. It seems like the perfect place to either grab a drink with friends, or unwind by yourself. Also, I can't wait to bring my dog back in the future! Visited here last night with my classmates for an end of semester shindig. It was my first time and it was a pretty cool space and not a typical brewery look. It was kind of chilly outside and they had heaters but I'm an islander so inside was the best place. I had a margarita and the wagyu which was gluten free it was honestly delicious. They were both kinda more on the higher end of the price range for college student but not ridiculous. On 11-3 I ate fish tacos and some Mac and cheese balls before the USC basketball game. I had to leave the game at half time as I was feeling bad. I had to stop twice otw home to violently throw up multiple times. Literally threw up every 10-15 minutes until midnight. They service is always good, but the Monday special burger and beer was not. This was my first time being there on a Monday. The bun on the burgers were crumbling and the inside of one of the patties was pink, but not like a rare pink. A "pink" as in heat did not touch at all. The pink was gooey as raw. It was clean and not too loud, and it was nice to take in the day. the staff were all friendly and it seems like the sort of place i would visit regularly if I lived in the area. My wife and I came here on a busy college playoff Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere was excellent! The music was so enjoyable. Every bar tender, waitress, and waiter was so wonderful to interact with. My wife got a drink and had concerns it was made with an ingredient she's allergic to. While she was asking the bartender about her concerns, the young woman who made her drink seemed super concerned and wanted to make sure she was ok! (No concerns, the drink was made with top notch ingredients.) One of the managers came and introduced herself to us. Her name was Victoria and asked how our food was, if she could remove our finished plates, and engaged us. We will 100% be coming back here. What a great experience. This brewery has all of the great spaces you could want. An upstairs balcony, outdoor space on the ground with turf, a fire pit, and an awesome indoor taproom. The staff staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They explained all of the beers that they had and provided me with ample tastings. Additionally, they really know their spirits and are happy to talk about all of the amazing selections they have. I recommend Monday nights. It's burger night. $10 for a pint of beer and a burger. We got burgers, burgers were kinda dry so I don't recommend the burgers. But the other food was good and looked like art. If your wanting craft beer then yes this is the place for you.
