Went to this establishment a little while ago and was not impressed at all ! I placed a very large takeout order and when I returned home, all the selections were ice cold. I returned to the restaurant and explained the situation to the manager. I was offered coupons for more food as a remedy. I've also learned that the owners of this restaurant also own the Little Sorrento restaurant down the road. As far as being "authentic southern cuisine" I cannot comment but I cettainly will not return. read more

My wife and I decided to do something we haven't done in ages, Sunday brunch. So may places do it now so we wanted to choose somewhere we hadn't been in a while to renew our tastes. We picked Savannah & Company on Crompind Rd. We like their regular menu so wanted to explore. We arrived as they opened and were greeted with smiles and pleasant faces. We ordered Bellinis and our meals. My wife the waffle with carmelized bananas and walnuts, me the pulled pork eggs Benedict. We shared some side bacon. The food is very good, the waffle was fluffy and the bananas were delicious. The idea of a pulled pork Benedict may sound odd, but believe me it works and works well. The bacon was crisp and smoky. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. This has renewed my interest in the restaurant. It's a very nice experience. read more

Fried green tomatoes were nasty, breading was no good and doesn't need honey or cheese, It should have something to dip it in instead. Catfish breading is sweet and I don't like sweet fish, who does. Used Savannah's to cater a party for 25 at my home this past weekend and it was amazing! My guests raved about the food. We had so much food: fried chicken, pulled pork, salmon, grits, roasted veggies and Mac and cheese. Everything was packaged beautifully and I was able to pick it up hot. Okay so what I see this place is fairly large and they only had two waiters. So I'm thinking that they owners are cheap to pay for more waiters or because of Covid they couldn't get my staff. Not that they pay waiters that much anyway waiters are always counting on tips. FYI. The gentleman serving us got everything perfectly right the only thing is he had no time he was always running so many tables. You do have two bus boys as far as I can see and that's it I've been to places where they're been at least five waiters or six for this size of a place and seven or eight bus boys shame on the owners. No food was interesting it's very short menu and it has interesting food that was good. Watermelon martini was very good. I just had Dinner at Savannah & Co. as my son received a gift card. We thought it would be nice. Served: 2 pieces of cornbread - how cheap. Appetizer: we ordered fried mozzarella served with marinara sauce ($8). Dinner: we both ordered the "Classic Fried Chicken / Half chicken served with smashed potatoes & brown gravy" no vegetable. You have to pay extra for that. Not even a salad. -- chicken was dry, not Hot (reheated) & way over priced ($18 each). Could have gotten KFC/10 pc for $20 & tasted alot better. The mash potatoes, was garlic mashed potatoes (too much garlic, shouldn't be any & didn't ask if we wanted garlic or not). Looks are deceiving!! Soda ($3 ea). Dessert: Bread pudding ($8) Cappucino ($5). - delicious! Ice cream ($2.50) Paid with gift card & debit card - charged us $2.42 for not paying with cash. Something different on the restaurant scene! The space is well decorated and presents itself with classy Southern hospitality, but with a modern twist - large TVs on the wall and behind the bar. Visible from everywhere in the dining room, and in my opinion, it spoils the illusion. The porch is large and accommodates a bunch of tables, sure to appeal in warmer weather, except for the view of a busy Route 202. Another contradiction in space. A big draw is happy hour and an appealing list of specialty cocktails and draft beer. Sadly, nothing in dark beer or southernly special. The menu is definitively southern and offers the mandatory fried chicken, jambalaya, grits and cornbread. All homemade. There are a couple of healthy choices , but if you are here for dinner, it's not for spa cuisine! Diners are presented two biscuits, some cornbread and honey butter. Cornbread and honey butter - no contest! We started with fried green tomatoes - tasty but a little greasy, and the buffalo chicken chips - shredded chicken with hot sauce and drizzled ranch over potato chips. Both portions were HUGE, and the chicken could be a meal. Nod to the chicken in round two. Entertainment consisted of the couple arguing and cursing loudly across the bar . Fortunately, she dumped him and left , sparing us further torture. The manager should have put that fire out much earlier. Meanwhile, drinks were tasty and generous! Dinner was meatloaf in a bourbon gravy and fried chicken with a side of parmesan grits. Chicken was hot, juicy and tasty, but the grits were almost soupy in consistency, needing a spoon rather than a fork. The meatloaf was moist and delicious, although I could do with a lower carrot load. Simply loved the bourbon gravy. A tie for round three. Lots of leftovers. Huge portions. Came here for brunch and loved it!! First time here and have zero complaints. Ordered corn fritters to start and they were delicious. So crispy on the outside and tender corn on the inside with an amazing dipping sauce. I got the southwestern skillet and loved it. My fiancé got the Nashville hot chicken and he also loved it. Definitely very spicy but he said it was so tender and juicy. Also did the bottomless mimosas/bellinis and our drinks never sat empty for more than a minute. Service was great too. Hosted a bereavement lunch in the private space upstairs and had the most incredible experience. The space was gorgeous, the staff were attentive and the food was tasty. 4 stars. Here's why: We just had a Nor Easter pass thru. Lots of family's have no power and and the local restaurants are packed, but Savannah sat us down quickly, within 5 mins. Once sat, We were served cornbread, with whipped butter, and it was very good. Our waitress got us drinks within minutes and we ordered our dishes. Our appetizer was Buffalo Chicken Chips, and I recommend them. It was a bed of crispy potato chips with shredded chicken and cheese layered on top, with a mild buffalo sauce and blue cheese. I ordered a burger. Double 5 oz patties with cheddar cheese, fried onion rings and BBQ sauce. It was good, but bring an appetite because those double patties will stuff you up. I substituted French fires for chips, and the fries were soggy. I literally ate maybe 3 total. My wife ordered the Fried chicken after the waitress told us it is a big seller. She substituted the mashed potatoes for Mac N Cheese. The fried chicken was delicious, fried crispy, and full of flavor. The Mac N Cheese was missing something. It just wasn't good. Not disgusting or anything, but just not good. I can probably make better at home. We then ordered the special for dessert. Warm brownie, with vanilla ice cream, walnuts and raspberry sauce. They missed this one big time. Brownie was super hard, and cold. You couldn't even cut it with the spoon. Raspberry sauce was super flavorful, and it had potential to be great, but staff did not execute on it. Service was great. Bill was $61, which was less than I expected. (I had two beers and my wife had a seltzer and a ginger ale). Place is nice and clean. All in all, it was good, but could be better. read more

The fireplace near our table made the atmosphere very warm and cozy on a rainy, cold day. I had Mac and Cheese with bbq chicken and it was excellent.
