Good food and excellent service. They have many different types of tequila and can tell you a lot about them! I loved how friendly and informative they were and how beautiful the place looked inside. I got takeout from this new restaurant and I hope this review is used constructively by the management. The food was pretty good, although what I was looking forward to the most ended up being the biggest disappointment. I was really in the mood for tacos so I decided to give this place a try. It really is surprising to me how so many restaurants in the area that claim to offer "authentic Mexican" seem to care so little about the quality of their tacos. My chicken tacos were simply plain grilled chicken on tortillas with a couple pieces of radish and 2 lime wedges on the side. No cilantro, no onion, no cojita, and the tortillas weren't slightly grilled the way most people like. My expectations were severely dashed as soon as I saw what they looked like. I know how much Mexicans take pride in their tacos, and I believe Mexicans are some of the most culinarily gifted people walking this earth. So my question is why do so many Mexican spots, especially this new one, put forth such half-assed effort into their tacos. I hope the decision makers of this place read this and take my advice, sell better tacos. It's a nice atmosphere, decorated well, with a nice bar that has as big a selection of tequila as I've seen around here. I want this place to succeed and I will give them another shot in the near future. read more

Had the most wonderful meal. The owner was so accommodating. Gabriel explained everything and was so social. The place was absolutely gorgeous. Very well done. Portions were very large. Food is good, prices are OUTRAGEOUS. The staff is friendly and if you speak a little Spanish it will help. Last time I ordered pick-up we dropped close to EIGHTY bucks for two chicken burritos and two kids quesadillas. That doesn't include any sides- no rice and beans, nothing. Really great liquor selection at the bar with plenty of quality tequilas. You'll need to be good and drunk when you get the check. read more

I have been hearing great things about this place so I had to give it a try...let's start with DECOR...The second we walked in we were amazed by the beauty of this restaurant..even the tables and chairs are hand painted works of authentic Mexican art ( my pics don't do the beauty of this place any justice ) ok let's talk STAFF...we chose to sit at the beautiful bar and were served by Nick. He was polite, friendly, and very passionate about the restaurant..( I believe he said his father was the owner) I enjoyed a wonderful tequila that I never had before and it came with an unbelievable amount of information about tequila from Nick..was so cool. And last but not least..the FOOD..absolutely delicious!!! My wife and I enjoyed a white sangria which tasted as good as it looked ( it was made by another guy who's name I didnt get..but he was fantastic and checked on us through out our meal..he may have been the owner )..My wife had the Chicken burrito which was reportedly delicious and I had a combo of steak and chicken tacos..soooo good! Traditional Mexican cuisine..for desserts I had flan which was so yummy..My wife had churros and she loved them..This spot also has a reportedly amazing nightlife with a dancefloor, karaoke nights..world class DJs who are brought in from all over including Miami... definitely come check this place out if you love Mexican food, music, and cocktails..you will thank me..ENJOY!! read more

Great to have good Mexican food in this area! Dinner started with a terrific Hibiscus Margarita and the Guacamango appetizer! This is a delicious combination of guacamole and mango salsa. Great with chips. I ordered the enchiladas de mole with carnitas. Normally I find that carnitas can be dry and lack flavor. Not these. Wonderfully flavorful! My wife ordered the tacos Al pastor. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very quirky. Definitely a unique experience. My wife and I have had a lot of items on their menu and they are all fantastic. There hasn't been anything that I would not order again. My two daughters love their chips, salsa, and everything on the kid's menu. Their margaritas are the best around. By a wide margin. Service is great. Everyone is super friendly and genuinely excited to make recommendations. Prices are exceptionally reasonable. We're so lucky to have this in our neighborhood. We had very delicious food there last night. A whole bunch of us. While the food was delicious, the service was not. There was a young girl working, cute, brown eyes, every time I asked her for something she gave me a blank stare. I asked for ice water 4 times. Never came. I finally had to ask the young gentleman who was a server. Salt....same thing. Asked 5 times. Nothing. Our meal was very good. We had leftovers. I was specific in what I asked to have wrapped. While the food was wrapped well, my requests for sauce was completely ignored. I asked for an order of chips and salsa to to. I got the chips, but no salsa. No salsa, no salsa verde and no sauce for my empanada. Please. Please. Hire only people who speak fluent English. This is America. While some people here speak Spanish, if I were to move to a different country like Mexico, I would expect to learn the language. Her blank stares bordered on rude. Don't nod and tell me yes. After asking 5 times I was super frustrated. Especially after spending over $130.00. This is my hard earned money. I'm a nurse and work my butt off. I'm exhausted and expect good food. One of the best Mexican meals I have had eaten in ever! This food is very sophisticated, balanced and innovative. The chef has been cooking his whole life, has a great command of combining traditional ingredients with Asian and Hawaiian spices. The mango guacamole was exceptional, skirt steak Aztecs with cactus, onion and salsa verde the best ever. The staff was very attentive, fun and real. Superb; utterly, totally, and completely. If you need instantaneous proof of the care, and expertise, applied to the preparation of your meal, start with the calamari. Perfectly tender (as compared with negligently over cooked and chewy) and without any residual grease from the deep frying, just pure clear flavor. The mango guac, which was new to me, was fantastic. And, of course, the margaritas did not disappoint. My Second House is an oasis in the culinary wasteland that is so much of Northern Westchester.
