Today was my first time eating here. It was during the lunch hour and it was pretty busy. Pricier than "fast food" but cheaper than a "restaurant". The portions are not big but not too small. I had a chicken salad sandwich w/ potato salad. I wasn't a fan of the potato salad, so next time I'll order the chips. It took quite a while to get our food, but I wasn't on a time crunch, anyway. First time here and it was delicious! Had the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with red skin potato salad and got a slice of carrot cake to go. Carrot cake is moist and the icing was very sweet. Pretty sure I gained 5 lbs but so worth it. Thought some of the items were a little expensive but oh well. Will definitely be a weekly lunch place for me! read more

I picked up cookies from Savannah on this past Saturday (July 28, 2019) for my Mother's Birthday Celebration and they were awful. They were dry, hard & stale. I am so disappointed. I choose an assortment along with brownies and Lemon Bars. Everything was very dry and we had to squeeze fresh lemon juice on the Lemon Bars to actually taste any lemon at all. I was so embarrassed because I told everyone how fresh and soft the cookies are from Savannah and was so disappointed. Over the years I have visited Savannah and never had this experience. I am not sure what is happening, but, I hope it gets better very soon. read more

The customer service is horrible. First of all the line is so long and it takes forever to place your order. Then you wait over 15 minutes for your order dine in. And it's not busy only 2 customers dining in. They didn't do my order right. I got a salad with no chicken in it. I asked for my roll to be toasted and it wasn't. I didn't get the soup. Three times I had to get up and say I was missing something or my order wasn't complete. And no one apologized. They looked like they was unconcerned. They was too busy talking and on their cell phones. The only thing a employee was worried about was telling me they close at 9pm. I was eating part of my food while waiting for them to fix the other part and a employee told me twice they close at 9pm. I got there at 8:02 pm. If it hadn't of taken so long to get to register to place my order and then have to wait because my order was wrong it wouldn't of been 8:50pm. And if it was 8:50pm. I was there at 8:06pm so it means not taking orders after 9pm. So unprofessional and the manger didn't do anything for the inconvenience but give me a refund. I wasn't told I was there before closing and I could wait on my RIGHT order or offer to replace my meal on another day. This location is different from other Pearland location. The employees seen me more mature and understand customer service. It was very disappointing the commercials are not real. It really is a regular place with regular food. Picked up a lemon cream pie today- selection pretty picked over. Pie looked great! Unfortunately that's where it stopped... crust was adherent to the pie tin and was not very flaky- too wet. Lemon filling was gelatinous and not tart/not sweet- pulled away in a blob from crust and whipped cream. The whipped cream topping was dense (pie slice was top heavy) and also bland- Disappointed as was $17. I think I could have done better at the bakery in a local grocery chain. read more

Most items come with a choice of side (chips, red potato salad or fruit) and a tiny tea cake. Try the red potato salad - it's an awesome change from the more traditional mustard style. Meh. I see this place as a slightly more expensive Panera Bread with better desserts. I had the "cuban-like sandwich" (had the pickles but no ham) and it was decent though there wasn't much meat (pork) in the sandwich and it was slightly salty. The chocolate ice box pie was decent too; a step above the one at Luby's but far from higher end ones like at Haven. If this is a bakery, surely they can be on the same playing field as a restaurant like Haven and blow Luby's out of the water? The ambience is nice and roomy. They do have free wi-fi also and to update on what one reviewer said, they do have a soda foutain now with free refills. 3 stars for being average. read more

I come here a few times a month. My favorite is The Savannah. Their chicken salad is incredible. Their soups are incredible! The Cuban is also amazing. I have yet to have anything not delicious and I haven't started on the bakery. You cannot order anything wrong on the bakery. White Chocolate Praline is heaven. Beacon Hill cookies are to die for. My one comment is that the staff could be friendlier. They aren't exactly rude but they certainly don't make you feel welcome at all. Those kinds of things don't bother me though. read more

I tried Magnolia cafe and bakery for the first time today. I loved it to say the least.. decor was nice, my favorite mint green color on the walls. Service was excellent, extremely friendly staff. The style of dining is sort of like la Madeline's where you order at the counter (where you see all the tempting beautiful desserts) and sit down with a number. I ordered the chicken panini.. delicious. It had an awesome pesto mayo sauce and roasted red peppers mmm. I wish I had left overs. I chose the potato salad as my side, good choice. Then each person gets a little muffin - nice little top off and cute surprise if you have never eaten there (sorry late spoiler alert). They have a couple of options of teas which I thought was great. I tried the apricot very good. And last but most certainly not least I had the cheesecake. Fluffy heaven. Every bite was mouth watering. All in all I had a great experience, one of the owners even came over and asked how everything was, which is a rarity these days and she was super friendly.
