Whenever I'm traveling and need a coffee fix, I always try to find a local cafe to support small business. I will go to a big chain if it's my only option. My hubby and I needed an afternoon pick my up and I noticed we weren't far from Savannah Coffee Roasters. The vibe here is awesome and so unique! There are brick walls, cozy chairs and low ceilings when you walk in (which is where we ended up sitting) but then the space opens up and becomes more industrial. There's ample seating and we noticed lots of students and people working here. We both ordered the honey cinnamon oat latte. Mine was iced, husband's was hot. The coffee was so good that I was hoping my husband couldn't finish his so I could drink his too lol. Bonus points for the cups. They're so cute and I love the logo. We sadly didn't try the food since we already ate lunch, but the pastries and sandwiches looked yummy. This is a great, laid back spot with excellent coffee and friendly people. read more

Just added Savannah Coffee Roasters to my "Mount Rushmore" of coffee shops downtown! A friend & I stopped in for a to-go coffee around 10:45am Tuesday morning. The line was approx. 8 people deep, but moved relatively quickly. Made for enough time to drool over the windows full of pastries & sweet treats. I ordered a 16oz iced oat milk latte with sugar free hazelnut syrup (they were out of sugar free vanilla). My friend ordered a regular 16oz iced latte with sugar free hazelnut syrup. They seemed to be out of a lot of flavors, but we were big fans, especially loved the artsy cups! We sat on the patio, since it was beautiful out, but there's plenty of seating inside. Would be a great place to work remote, read or study. Neither of us ordered food, but we were pleased to see a variety of breakfast & lunch items. My first time here and I can't wait to come back!! I've past this location numerous times but have never stopped in. Not sure why, but I'm glad that's changed! We came by at 4:20pm on Saturday, close to closing but we were going to spend an afternoon at Forsyth Park and needed a pick me up. Most of the pastries were gone, since it was close to closing but the menu did look promising. I will be back! We had some iced coffee and it was AMAZING! The quality of coffee was great. The barista behind the counter was efficient and sweet. She appeared to be getting some closing tasks done but she was quick to help all of us in line. And again she made an AMAZING iced coffee. The ambiance was quiet and cozy. Everyone was either studying, working or talking softly. They offer some local products for sale as well. We waited about 6 mins for three drinks. Final Verdict: This is delicious coffee!! The parking is kind of tricky but definitely worth it. I can't wait to come back! read more

We came here a few days in a row while vacationing in Savannah, and the coffee was great! I got a hot hazelnut latte, and a different pastry each day. There are a variety of pastries in the front, and there's also a menu for other items like breakfast sandwiches. I found the prices to be reasonable. There is a lot of seating, but the shop was pretty full the days we came around 10:30am, so the seats fill up. There is upstairs seating too which was cool! The baristas were friendly and efficient. I needed a pick-me-up in Savannah, so stopped by Savannah Coffee Roasters. It is all street parking; I was able to find a spot, but make sure you pay for parking because they are quick to ticket! The cafe is spacious and full of people - the line was very long when I came in but it moved in a timely manner. I got the matcha latte and the seven layer bar. The matcha latte was sweet and creamy with a great flavor, just a little bit watered down, but still delicious. The seven layer bar - WOW! It was huge, had a great chew, and very sweet but tons of yummy flavors. I still think about it to this day. The food looked delicious - I would love to come back and try a sandwich! Highly recommend Savannah Coffee Roasters! We were thrilled to find a local coffee shop within walking distance of our hotel. Locals seem to really enjoy it too. The front part of the shop is quaint with tables, lounge seats, and brick walls and cute devir. Think contemporary vibes. The vibe carries upstairs where there are additional tables to enjoy a more quiet experience. The coffee was delicious - much better than Starbucks and Dunkin - and reasonably priced. There are teo registers while there were at least 2-3 baristas working on drink orders. We found the staff to be friendly and quick with our orders. We didn't get to try some of the breakfast dishes because of timing or they were sold out. But our last morning there, we got two cranberry walnut cookies to take to the airport. They were soft and delicious! We would've ordered a few more had we known how good they were!! Don't expect Starbucks here. This local shop is SO much better. We already know where to get our coffee when we return to Savannah next year. read more

There were so many savory items on the menu that is was too difficult to choose, but you can't go wrong with a hot coffee and a warm croissant. Amazing. This place is in a great location if you're staying at The DeSoto or near Forsyth. The coffee is AWESOME. If you like a simple, regular cup of coffee- this is the only place in Savannah you should go to. (The other places are great for fancy lattes) The breakfast is also amazing. The bowls are perfect. Good choice if you're looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city center crowds! There are no stairs, it's accessible. Seating indoors and outdoors, table service for food, but wait at the counter for your drinks. The main attraction here is the espresso, they do that really well, and the prices are reasonable. There's also a full menu, with vegetarian and even vegan options! We recommend the quiches, which are supposed to come with a side salad. They were so busy today that they ran out of salad (! Also plates; we were given to go boxes!), so everything came with potatoes. The potatoes are good too, plenty flavorful without being overly greasy. Taking off a star because there was a hair in the quiche and the cutlery wasn't very clean (no matter, we took another set from inside). Impressive array of desserts. read more

On my first morning in Historic Savannah I was on the search for great coffee and Savannah Coffee Roasters exceeded all my expectations! I am a mocha girl and they happened to be out of dark chocolate however my latte was so good because their coffee is bold, rich and smooth! You get a free regular coffee with your Yelp check in as well. Fantastic cup. The pastries and desserts look amazing. We ordered croissants on our first visit. I had a bite of my chocolate croissant and a bite of HubbyStanks' Almond croissant. They were both wonderful bites...I only got a bite...why???... I eat in portions and was hoping to finish my croissant about an hour later. Went through all the trouble to wrap them. Then I picked up the trash because HubbyStanks picked up the croissaints to hold. He threw the wrapped croissants in the trash along with his coffee cup he was trying toy throw away. He will ONLY have trash duty going forward (which I just remind him to do even). He's not yo be trusted with carrying out good food....story of my entire marriage. Mr. Vamanos is always in a rush fir no damn reason because he's a homebody that is always looking to get back "home." I tried other coffee places while in historic Savannah but ended up coming back to this one on my last day. It's so good I want it right now!
