This was so much fun and very informative. Our tour leader Dan knew so much about Savannah and the history, besides the spooky details! I would recommend booking ahead of time, especially if you are doing a weekend. We came in on a Friday and I tried to book a Friday or Saturday tour and they normally have 2 or 3 tours, 5 pm, 7 pm or 9 pm. The 5:00 tour is not candlelight so initially that was all available. I tried to get added to a later tour but they can't exceed a certain number. I paid for the 5:00 and at the last minute they had a cancellation on the later tours, so I got the 9:00 and it was perfect. Make sure you can be on your feet for an hour and a half and wear good shoes!! It was fun and I would recommend it highly!! read more

The process was easy and meeting instructions were on point. Dan checked us in and was an amazing guide, providing us with stories that combined historical facts and ghost stories that may or may not have been factual, but were well told and fun to hear nonetheless! He was really great at changing his pace and voice tone to help emphasize key poins in his stories, as well as leading is to famous houses and Colonial Park Cemetery along the way. Tour was fine. Guide was likable and did a good job of making the tour interesting. Unfortunately, the group was too large, and made it hard to hear at times. Even the best guide in the world would have a tough time herding a group of 20 or more around town and keeping everyone's interest. The large group led to stragglers who had their own conversations while guide was talking. This tour would be greatly improved if they kept the groups to maybe a dozen. There are so many haunted tour offerings in Savannah, it's honestly a little intimating to choose one. I have been living here about a month, had friends coming to visit and had selected three different tours that seemed like the best. Honestly, I selected Savannah History and Haunts (distinguished by the tour guide with the lantern) because it was the only tour that had spots left day of, but boy do I feel like I lucked out. This is a 1.5 hour tour, drinks are welcome but the tour does cross E Jones Street where the guide reminds you to dispose of drinks as the open container laws don't "technically" extend past that point. However, there was plenty of time prior to that point to walk and drink my pint from Six Pence Pub (a 2 minute walk from the start of the tour and my recommendation if you desire a drink to go). We met our guide, and owner of the company, at Chippewa Square. What I loved about this tour was that there was a great deal of history along with true tellings of events that had happened throughout the stops along our route. Our guide was a great story teller but was also honest and straightforward about stories pasted down and facts. Our tour included stops at the Mercer-Williams House, through Monterey Square, we walked by the Massie Heritage Center, and ended the tour outside of the gates of the Colonial Park Cemetery. For $20/person plus tax (approximately $2.50), I would highly recommend this tour and would even venture on it again! read more

Our tour guide was Tyler and he was wonderful even his corny dad jokes were cute. This is a walking tour. It takes almost exactly 90 minutes.
