Problem one: My family bought a memorial property at Glendale cemetery in December 2015 for my grandfather who suddenly passed away. Our family specifically ordered the traditional upright headstone. Chris, an agent worked at the location, promised our family that the headstone would be delivered in about four months. Four months later, he told us the delivery must be postponed due to some government regulation issues. We trusted him and waited nearly a year and finally became suspicious about the situation. We contacted this company, shockingly, an agent informed us that Glendale cemetery NEVER allowed having upright headstones; Furthermore, Chris was no longer working for their company. Upon several negotiations, my family had to go for the flat bronze grave marker, because we did not wish to "disturb" my grandfather. Problem two: Chris, the agent, SPECIFICALLY told us the memorial property was at a corner (because only corner locations can have upright headstone). After the flat grave marker for my grandfather was finally delivered in March 2017, guess what, we found the grave marker was in the middle section! Ironically, as we contact this Arcadia company, the corner property just being sold to another family, and the person was buried recently! All in all, funeral services should be honest, but this Arcadia third company of Forest Lawn is full of lies. Our family would never do business with them ever again!

It is a…read morebeautiful old cemetery and Manny helped throughout the process with planning my father's gathering & burial arrangements. I'd give him 100stars, cannot say enough wonderful things about this man- He's very professional, kind, and kept me up to date as much as possible and solved problems along the way. Manny went above and beyond to help make the process easier for everyone I was very grateful for his help, I think he works harder at his job than anyone else. Aside from that I was not impressed with a lot of things. The day of the Memorial was chaotic, the guests had no direction and were told to wait so they all congregated up at the front building. Then the viewing that was supposed to be just a couple people turned into everyone coming in to view my father. This could have been catastrophic if I wasn't so laid back but he looked sharp so I figure it was meant to be that way, many were glad they got to see him. It worked out well it was just a bit overwhelming as that was way different than what was originally planned. Whoever was directing outside would not allow the person I hired to set up the photos & flowers go inside the cemetery beforehand so when I discovered that nothing had been done at the site yet I had to run from the viewing to go throw everything together all by myself at the location in the literal minutes before the ceremony. Due to that set back I didn't get anything up properly. Lastly a few days before the funeral the groundskeepers assured me that they would have my grandfathers grave cleaned up (my dad was buried in the same plot at later date) but it was not done. It's also been noticed they remove flowers very quickly after placed which is a bit off putting. They were very much on top of making sure payment was complete but after that it took a substantial amount of time and several check ins before burial happened for my dad. To be honest I didn't mind that wait but from day one I was very clear I wanted to be there for his burial. The day finally came and I found out the afternoon before that they would be burying him the next day, a bit frustrating the lack of notice but it was beyond time for it to happen so I just worked it out. I kept in communication up until just a couple hours before to make sure it was clear I would be there for the burial and agreed to come at a set time. I showed up an hour before that set time and my father was already buried!! This was extremely upsetting and the men finishing up did not seem to care in the slightest about my distress. It seems like they were just glad to have "finished up early". This has been extremely distressing for me and my family/friends are upset hearing it as well. I'm still struggling with what happened. I spoke with Manny afterwards and he was very apologetic as this was not how it was supposed to go, he was not notified they were going to finish early so there was really nothing that could have gone differently on his end. There is some major communication issues going on. I'm definitely rethinking the plans I was considering for myself and the rest of my family in a plot here as it seems like the management is lacking, it doesn't really seem like anyone else cares there. It's kept together just well enough to get paid.

There's a one way very narrow road, but sometimes cars go in both directions. It's a smaller and older cemetery with all plots of land already occupied. It's not the most maintained, but it's great for what it is. The center does have a nice, clean shrine for prayer and burning Heaven money, and there's restrooms near the entrance.

To Karen T's review, I approached the groundskeeper, Tony, to fill in some holes at the base of my grandparent's headstone (soil erosion). He very willingly obliged since he looks after the cemetery. I asked him if those were his tools along the shrubbery, and he said yes (they were your typical gardener's tools), but I did not ask him about the draped Dodger's shirt or pants, or grey jacket on 3 of the tombstones. The clothes appear to have been left there for quite some time, and perhaps even by the family member (?) themselves. I scanned the rest of the cemetery for homeless, but there were none. Only Tony looking after the grounds. He informed me that the gates open at 8am. Noticed the lettering for the Chinese Cemetary outside the the main gates (both English and Chinese) had fallen off. I'll be back to clean my grandparents headstone, fill in the faded lettering, and seal in the stone. It's the least I could do.

She went to the Universal Funeral Home in 2021and consulted with May for her immediate disposition and funeral, mom must had a preemptive vision which unfortunately came through, after she got scared into getting the 2 Covid Jabs, her heart rate went berserk, she told me 180 and no way if slowing it down, due to Spike Protein worsening her previous heart condition and hypertention, Diabetes attacked her mercilessly after a long period of of remission. Here we are, after a long struggle with hospitalization and onset Alzheimers, mom took off right after Easter, I did not know much about the process so I called May, and she immediately brought moms remain from the Nursing Home to the Funeral Home for refrigeration. Since mom did not discuss much about her endeavors with the Funeral plans, May literally hand held me through the Entire Process. She is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the trade, from acquiring burial grounds, to getting the right Plan for the Loved One, she is patient, kind, smart and truly caring about my desire for the Loved One. Thank you for making moms ushering into a New Heaven a seamless and Painless thing. Tell me why our arranger never ASKED us what type of service we envision? Why did WE have to ask him what type of service they recommended doing since we are non-religious? All he offered to us was a catalog of Urns and Casket STILL without explaining anything to us KNOWING our son is a BABY whom passed. We were given ZERO guidance on this whole experience.
