We went to the Primo Water Filter station to fill up her water jugs and did not realize how inexpensive it is, only 29¢ a gallon! No wonder she has a water station at her house! It is a great deal! Of course, the produce selection is always amazing and fresh at Walmart. Walmart has never disappointed me in their grocery department, as well as other areas in the store. The staff are on top of everything and willing to assist you with anything and everything you need in the store. I was disappointed that there was no greeter in the front of the store to greet us as we walked into the store. Since that is what Walmart is known for, I was expecting to be greeted by someone when I walked into the store, but no such luck. It is not a big deal to me, but something the management should look into going forward. Other than that, this Walmart is wonderful for Macclenny, FL and the residents are lucky to have this store in town.

Richard's ground chuck is great quality meat that cooks out with almost no fat. They have bundle deals where you can get so many pounds of different meats (ground chuck, hot dogs, chicken, etc.) for a decent price. If you've never shopped here you're definitely missing out.

I have to say, all the talk about Hodges Produce is legit. This is a really tiny store, but don't let the size fool you. It's packed full of a variety of local fruits and vegetables. The outside was lined with three types of watermelons (my favorite), so I was already off to a good start. The minute I walked in, I was blasted by the smell of fresh Georgia peaches!! If you can smell the peaches without them being right up your nose, you know they're good. They had one fridge with cherries, grapes, rambutan, blueberries, milk/chocolate milk and eggs. The blueberries were a steal! $5.99 for an 18 oz tub? Yes please. They were large, sweet and my son had a good time eating them. A definite win. The other fridge had huge carrots, Brussel sprouts, broccoli and huge bags of all different kinds of peas/beans. Some of the other produce they had were beautiful large tomatoes, three kinds of sweet potatoes/yams, a few different types of potatoes, cucumbers, corn, bananas, tiny eggplants that made you say "aw," onions, kiwis, three types of plums I'd never heard of, raw peanuts, and apples. One of the great things about this place is you can buy in bulk. You can get bushels and crates of produce. If there's a certain item you're looking for, they'll keep an eye out and let you know when it comes in. The customer service was just amazing. The woman running the register told us all about the different fruits and where they came from. She talked about how to make boiled peanuts, which are disgusting to me, but I enjoyed hearing about the process. We talked about how to pick watermelons and she even said if we got a bad watermelon she'd take it back and replace it. Between the quality of produce, the prices and customer service, it's exactly what you'd expect from a small family owned business. I absolutely love this place! We walked around the store at least three or four times and could not find any heating pads. Finally, we asked one of the staff where the heating pads were located, and it turned out we walked right past the shelf and did not know it! The staff appeared to be preoccupied with other things and did not even pay attention to us while we were in the store. We could have stood right in front of them to ask for assistance, and they still would have ignored us. The store was very cluttered and disorganized. The aisles were not labeled from what I could see in the store. You literally have to walk around the store several times to find what you want. The selection of items were very good from what I could tell, but still, I would not want to come back here again unless I specifically needed something from Dollar general. It is a good thing I am visiting town and do not live in Macclenny, FL, because I would not come back here again to shop. Several items appeared to be overpriced for a Dollar general store. Just saying!
