Today, May16, I went in to your Goshen and Akers store to do an Amazon return. This is probably the third or fourth time I was using your area. After doing the return I had a list of grocery items I was going to purchase. After trying multiple times trying to scan the bar code I asked one of your managers for assistance and he said he couldn't help me and walked off instead of calling someone else to assist me. I immediately left your store and got Amazon to change the return location to the UPS store right next door. I proceeded to take my list to Grocery Outlet to do my shopping. Employees work inappropriately and when I ask for help they don't come back to me so I stand there waiting for 30 minutes. They end up saying they forgot. I've had multiple complaints about this store and it sucks because it's right down the street where I live... my go-to grocery store and it disappoints me every single visit. I don't do anything to anyone and I go in and out the store without being complicated and I feel I get horrible treatment like i'm some bad customer! The employees here are lazy and only seem to be there to get paid. Who do I go to when I need help in a grocery store? I don't like this store......... Especially white lady at the self checkout - she stood there watching me struggle with an item that wasn't being detected and I didn't know what else to do..... I almost thought I had it and it would mess up again, she would just stand and stare. I finally figured it out by myself. She just stares at you and smiles..... some worker. One of the challenges in moving to another city is finding the establishments needed for every day living. This area of California is loaded with huge big-box, self-bag grocery stores. I prefer a proper grocery store with baggers and friendly checkers like at my Ralph's down in the LBC. I was pleased to find Save-Mart because it's about as close as I will get to a proper grocery in this town. Nicely stocked, but not overly stocked with too many random brands. Their selections lean toward the top sellers of many name brands. I was also pleased to find that Save-Mart also carries some items that I would have to get have to get from Whole Foods. The produce department is the best around, however, the meat department lacks a bit. There is a great deli and bakery section as well. The store layout is a bit strange for me and I still haven't found a way to maneuver the store without back tracking. My only critique is the prices. Save Mart is a bit on the higher side, but I guess that it's worth it to avoid the other stores in town. read more

I remember coming here my first day and I kept asking someone who works there for help and said "sorry, I just moved here so I am a bit unfamiliar" and she said "oh well welcome to our community!" which was the sweetest thing and I still remember it. prices here aren't as cheap as win-co, and they don't offer bulk food shopping. Joe at the register was rude to say the least, but he was so nice to the female associate he was flirting with. Called management and they said, "oh no, we've never heard Joe do something like that before. We'll talk to him." When I said Joe made the experience awkward and uncomfortable because Joe decided to throw a basket, which is definitely on film, his response, "I'm sorry you felt that way". I'm smart enough to know that the management was full of BS. Same old line to get me to shut up, that may work with some, but it sad that's how you choose to do business. After I finished shopping, this delight of a checker was back from break and checked me out. Friendly, polite, helpful employee. Store was clean and beautifully arranged. This is a really nice grocery store. The prices are pretty cheap but the merchandise is still attractively displayed. There is a huge produce department moodily lit to kindle my love affair with food. The fruits and vegetables are attractively displayed. All that's missing are a few cafe tables where I can hang out and enjoy the atmosphere The bakery department carried a wide variety of baked goods and the deli department beckoned me towards it. They carry a very good selection of hard liquor at reasonable prices. I went in to purchase two items but was seduced into purchasing a whole basket full of goodies I was convinced I couldn't live without. The whole store is very clean and has nice wide aisles. It's a pleasant experience to shop here. There are even two redbox video rental machines inside where you can rent a few dvds to go with the dinner you probably have all the ingredients for when you're done here. read more

I was shocked at how rudely the pharmacist treated me during my most recent visit. I had to wait nearly 10 minutes before even being greeted let alone helped. I was met with several eye rolls and a nasty tone of voice when I had done absolutely nothing to deserve such treatment. I will NEVER be filling another prescription at this location again. I love coming to Save Mart's! Although the overall price to pay can be expensive, the service, availability of product and ability to walk around and browse makes this the place to shop. I like how certain items can be found here opposed to other locations like "wahlburgers ground beef", it's the only place in town that I'm able to pick up this prime selection of meat. I really got to hand it to this staff when it comes to being friendly under pressure, no matter how busy it can get they stay level headed and get the job done. If I really had to choose from coming here or going to another location to get my grocery needs, i would wait it out and come here. There's really just something special about coming here that makes me "actually" look forward to leaving the house to go out and grab some groceries. The ice cream selection is great! If you're ever in need for a certain brand of Ben & Jerry's then you're in luck! read more

I always seen their price tags posted on everything so no need to go get price checks. Staff is always friendly. Never have any issues with stuff being out of stock unless it's late in the week on a sale item, and even then they normally have it. Their "create your own 6pack" in the alcohol section is very nice and twice the size of most of the other save marts. My only complaint is they often have boxes of new stuff they are stocking in the middle of the aisle and it's generally in the way. Other then that though, I love this store! read more

I go into the deli this morning to get some meat, salad....... and so on about 40.00 worth of food. 3 women working wait let me change that statement 3 women behind the counter. woman 1 singing and laughing, hum I'm not at the American's got talent try outs. Cart boy or man was very rude, when I tried to put cart at end of his column he said he couldn't take more carts, only had 10 carts had me put it in stall. Pretty standard grocery store. Clean, good selection. I give it the 5 stars because the manager on duty last night saw me wandering aimlessly around the aisles. He came and asked me if he could help me find anything. I told him I was on a business trip and stuck in a hotel with no refrigerator or microwave for a few days so my choices were pretty slim. He told me that if I found anything that needed to be heated up, he would do it for me in the service deli. I didn't even take him up on it. Just thanked him for offering. That is some very solid customer service though. He was clearly busy and didn't have to go that extra mile. Good job man. read more

Store is clean, and staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice selection of wines and liquors. Meat department offers wide selection of both meat and seafood. The deli is very nice, bakery just so-so, but I usually don't buy bakery items. The only complaint is the produce section. Without a doubt, one of the worst in town, with many vegetables completely shriveled with age. I've purchased avocados that turned totally rotten in just one day. With the emphasis on healthy eating, it is very disappointing not to have fresh, wholesome vegetables readily available in your local market. read more

I give Save Marts 1 star due to the fact that this is number or Breyers lactose free ice cream that they handle when there is more available. I have checked with the manager at the E Noble Ave store he said that was a corporate decision which he had no control of. I would think that with all of the people who suffer from Lactose Intolerance Save Mart would handle more. The other lactose free ice creams they handle are extremely expensive with little variety. read more
