Overall, had a great experience with the owner Jeremy, Eddie and Coty. Jeremy took the time to educate and explain how the glass is removed and replaced. For the windows we brought to the shop, once the replacement glass arrived, it took them less than an hour to be ready for pick up. For the sliding glass door and kitchen window that had to be onsite, it took Eddie & Coty less than 2 hrs. Broken windows do happen, especially when my windows are across from the school yard, a few feet away from the basketball hoops. As soon as this happened, I asked my HOA property manager for some referrals. I called those numbers to get an estimate, but none was hired to do the job. My wife called a couple Vietnamese glass repairmen from Nguoi Viet Online. One came over so fast that she didn't have time to change. He said $150, and proceeded to hammer away the window frame. My wife asked if all that was necessary when broken glass was flying. He said that there is no other way, and he had been doing this since the 1980's. He was fired before he was hired. The second repairman came the next day. He gave her an estimate over the phone $150. She agreed & he came over. When he arrived he asked for $75 more to glue the plastic strips after the glass is replaced. My wife sent him packing too. So, the first guy was careless, rude, sloppy & unprofessional. The second guy was simply a crook & unsure of himself if he was able to do the job. My wife often stopped by Xôi Hoàng Huong on Westminster Blvd to buy coffee or xôi whenever she was rushed to work. She noticed the SAVE-ON GLASS & SCREEN next door looked busy. She asked me to measure the window & ask Mark for an estimate. So, I did as she asked. Mark gave me a written estimate on the spot. He said that he would send a technician over within 15 minutes. Roy, the technician came within 15 minutes. He removed the broken window without a single piece of broken glass comes loose. He took the window down to his service truck & replaced the glass. The job was done within 35 minutes. I can't say enough positive things about this company. Over the phone they gave me multiple quotes to give me an idea of what it would cost me for my small bathroom project. I didn't realize there are so many options to choose from and they explained each one so I could understand. Ultimately I ended up with a single 1/2" panel to give my bathroom the most modern look. The owner himself came out to measure and talk to me and came on my schedule. The 2nd final measurement was on time too. The installation guys also came on time, covered everything to make sure no mess was left behind and they did a great job on the install. There's no way I could of done this myself as it took 2 huge football player looking guys to lift this glass and it seemed to wear them out. Final product is flawless and I couldn't be happier. We called and was given 14 day lead time for instillation. While they apologized profusely for the lead time, we did not feel it was too long and happily agreed. The quote was also very competitive. I have two normal glasses, which cover my nightstands. They need to be cut shorter by 2 inches and the edges need to be made unsharp. Because the saleslady of a glass shop near me explained it to me very complicated and wanted to charge $40 and her shop needs "two hours" for doing that easy work! We used Save On Glass because they were the least expensive of the glass companies and also provide a glass protection coating warranty. 1st. They gave us a quote for $1329.37, we put down $500 in good faith monies for the work to begin. After the work was completed, they said they made a mistake and the new price was $1445.04. 2nd. We were told at the time we made the deposit, the installation would be on Friday of the next week. Not true,the Tuesday of the next following week the installation began. My boss was very happy with taking multiple days off. 3rd. They do not install their own product, the enclosure was installed by a sublet company who subsequently damaged the shower. We had to wait a few more days for another piece of glass. 4th. The sublet company installed the damaged panel after a few days. I asked them about the coating, the installers were unaware of the coating and was not on the paperwork. I had to call Save On, they scheduled the coating to be installed later that day. 5th. I read about the glass coating warranty after they gave me the info, you have to squeegee the shower enclosure every time you shower and dry off the hardware. I asked Margaret when we paid the balance why they sold us this product if we had the dry the shower after every use, Margaret said "I do not know". Great answer! $225.00 for this special coating and she has not idea why they sold it to us. read more
