Walter was prompt, efficient and very helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We discussed our project needs over the telephone and set up an appointment to view the actual job.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He helped us replace the obsolete, cracking original glass in our flat roof, curb mounted skylights. He provided pricing and advice on the glass options (we chose tempered, laminated 65% obscure). Day of installation went smoothly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He worked with us to meet our schedule requirements and was thoughtful and courteous about controlling for possible dust during the removal and install.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When the curb was off, he noted that he could also seal the existing gaps between the curb and interior drywall as a complimentary service. He took off the old, still solid curb, removed the existing pane and cleaned up the unit before installing and re-mounting the skylight fixture. I am detail oriented and with any opening you want to prevent leaks. Walter was prepared and provide a bead between the glass and base and the glass and top of the flashing so the unit as a whole is watertight. The original lasted 55 years and I bet Walter's work here will last for a long time, too. He also does warranty his work. He also does large windows and showers. Review not for services but for scheduling an initial appointment. Spoke to the owner and he quoted me a high price for window repair. Told him I would go with my other quote, which was lower. He brought down the quote a little but I told him I would not go with it unless he price matched. He agreed to price match but I felt he was not happy about it. This point on, it was difficult to schedule with him. Eventually, he said he would arrive within a 2 hour window, the next day. He did not end up coming during that two hour window and did not answer his phone when I called to see where he was. After missing the two hour window, he casually texted me and said he would be there in a half hour. I told him to cancel my appointment and that I did not appreciate him wasting my time. The main purpose was to have it accessible for our toddler so that we can bathe her without risking the shower curtains falling down.
