    $10.99 for SHEIN
    Sam D.

Good selection, ridiculous prices. I've been seeing a lot of SHEIN here lately, and while I understand they wouldn't turn down acceptable clothing donations, charging more than $2 for any of it is insanity. I found a plain SHEIN dress for $10.99 recently. A child probably made it for $0.10.

This Walmart Wonder Nation brand probably cost the same or less brand new in the store

I love coming here! This location is my favorite one but as of the past 6 months, who have you guy had in the back pricing this stuff???? And who is doing quality control. I used to find really quality items in here. I still do, don't get me wrong but the stuff they have been allowing on the floor and the prices they have been putting on some of this stuff is ridiculous. You've just got to do better. And Suddenly if it's a "Popular" name brand it's ridiculously priced... I just watch it sit in the store for months and months, especially the B grade designer bags. I still like this store and I will continue to shop here and donate here but, someone in the back needs to come back to earth with these prices. Staff is awesome otherwise.

You can get lucky and find some really great furniture too. I love that they have started giving donors a $5 off coupon when bringing in donations. I also love that they will come to your house to pick up any furniture that you want to donate but can't bring in yourself. They also have sales daily and post a calendar so you know what is on sale when. Clothes sales days can get very hectic! That being said I don't like donating too much here, as I feel they price items awfully high for people on limited incomes. It seems like they cater more to people with money who are just looking for a good deal. I prefer to take clothes to places that give it away to low income people. I know they take the money they make and help a lot of people in the community, so that's great, but I just wish some of the prices in store were a little more affordable. I frequently see housewares priced higher or the same as new items at retail stores.

They have rules about touching others carts, but not rules about them needing to be placed by outside walls so not to be in high traffic areas. Getting in the way of everyone shopping. But you're not allowed to move them. Do not take pictures or video or you'll be asked to leave. The staff is nice regardless, and helpful when you have questions about checking out. There are lots of great things to be found here but they're entirely dependent upon luck. You might come for days and find nothing good, then find something amazing in the first 10 minutes another time. Be prepared for dubious substances, slime, broken glass, and lots of garbage. Wear gloves if you think you need them. Be prepared for people to shove you out of the way to get something they want or, alternatively, stand 3 inches away and give you the stink eye while you dig through a bin they want to look in. As other reviewers have said, the people working there often just make up prices. This can sometimes work out in your favor but often leads to overpaying, especially if they make you weigh the cart. Whatever weight they have put in for the carts is not accurate at all and will lead to you paying extra 99 times out of 100. Seriously, this place is not for the faint of heart. Or nose. If you're a hardcore thrifter looking for your next treasure, it's absolutely worth the visit. Just make sure you bring some hand sanitizer!

Even being aware of their leanings, I'm consistently reminded that I'm better off just throwing stuff away. Go to a thrift store in a poor part of town, skip the ReStore. I love the concept, but I must say that I had an unpleasant donation experience…read more I called the Restore donation coordinator, and confirmed that they would accept 16 of the doors I removed from the house I'm renovating. I followed up this conversation by sending a picture of the doors to the coordinator, who said they were interested in the doors. I was going to arrange for their free pickup, but it turns out this is quite inconvenient. They schedule based on your zip code, which dictates the day of pickup. Then, the pickup window is the entire day. So you have to be home and waiting for the pickup on a random weekday, the entire day. If you work, you just can't make this work. The lady told me that instead, you can drop off the doors at the donation center. Today, I borrowed a trailer, loaded up the doors, and took them to the store. At the store, the man told me at that he could not take my doors, without even looking at them. They don't want doors, they can't sell doors, and they definitely can't take as many doors as I brought with me. Not to mention, the man was standoffish and acted like my bringing in a donation was an inconvenience or something. This would be fine with me if I had not already been told they wanted them and to bring them in. So yeah, pretty hard to make a donation to this place. It was a waste of time this afternoon, and it's a shame these matching doors in decent condition now have to go to the dump.

In the last 6 months they removed the best feature in the store, the unsorted shopping carts in the back. It was nice to get to hunt through a few carts, like a real treasure hunt. No more. Gone. Those were the best bargains, and I'd spend over $50-60 easily each week. Since the carts ended, they've been making the store more like a boutique, and I'm not convinced it's a good idea. This seems to be the trend for these thrift stores, perhaps it's to get more money from the donated goods, but they are pricing out a lot of their customers in my opinion. There are still bargains, but it's less and less common to come across lately.. Overpriced items sit for months in the showcase, and they never apply the color tag discounts to items in that case. I've seen the same 4 gaudy german hiking medals at $10 each (they were $15 for a long time) relegated to the bottom of the case, in a heap, on some sort of overpriced little china plate. Overpriced items sit, until they do a large sale (like 50% off white tags) once every few months, or they get repriced and moved around the store. I saw a $1.99 Star Trek game sitting by the toys, I came back 2 days later, it was in the showcase and priced at $19.99 - it was worth $10 on eBay once upon a time, and that was 4-5 years and 3 computer generations later. Someone needs to clue the staff in to how to price things, and not just look on eBay for the latest asking price. If you want to price donated goods at the eBay asking price, you're asking for a lot of your customers to head to City Thrift, Red Racks, or Goodwill. Also, it's been a year. Please pave your parking lot. There are potholes 4 ft x 4 ft wide just inside the entrance on Lamar. It's getting ridiculous. Update: They re-paved the lot and put some 25c bins in the back, an improvement!
