We got an unbelievable amount of things for just 75.75 (using the Monday 50% off deal) Happy to have found a full matching set of kitchen needs including 2 mugs, 4 large plates, 4 small plates, a pitcher, and a sauce container all marked for just $14 Got a Kuregg - yes those fancy coffee machines marked for 14 or so as well My partner also found some clothing and he is usually so picky and never buys clothes but he walked out with 2 pants and two shirts Also got : - 2 paper towel holders - ironing board - wok - pot - pan - shower caddie - 2 sets of sheer curtains - small french press - wine rack And I think that's about it. Be advised - they have closed their fitting rooms. They expect you to buy clothes, take them home, try them on and return what doesn't fit/what you don't want. Dubbed Value Village in my neck of the woods, I have never seen a complete rack full of size extra small and small size tops as I happened upon at this Savers. I went Two Mondays in a row for the half-off sale event and found amazing deals and a few name brands that I don't come across in Washington State. I scored on my hard-to-find sizing. The store is organized and employees are friendly and helpful. It could use an expanded parking area or remove the popcorn truck that takes up a couple of parking spots. Now i have been shopping at Savers in SF, LA, SD, AND TUCSON for years, and in that time i somehow never figured out dollar monday's (its not advertised. i have also never gone on monday)...... (deliveries are Tuesday, Wednesday is the best day for full selection) On this magical day all things coded by one of the 5 colors they use will be on sale, example this past monday was Purple tags. Im waiting for a special color so i can buy a $30 dollar item for $1 dollar. In any case if your crafty, stylish, or plain cool, you know the beauty of savers comes in having a sewing machine. Buy larger stuff, you can always tailor it yourself. Savers is great but the selection sticks to basic clothes that are just above yard sale quality. You Can hardly find really sick items and thats a minus 1 star. But beyond that there is all kinds of sick sh** to be found here, and i will be all over it. Savers used to be among the class of Cadillac thrift stores. It was reasonably priced and very clean. Not any more. I went there on October20, 2013 only to find filthy, overpriced items not fit for the dump they came out of. I couldn't believe how expensive everything was. Why would a sensible shopper pay $7 for a used tee shirt? Was it supposed to be a designer cast off? Many items were priced at retail. How do I know? because I shop a lot, just to compare prices so I can bust jerky businesses like this one for their rip-off ways! I saw a hand thrown pot. It was good-sized with a semi-ugly glaze, priced at $14. Are you kidding me? It should have been there for $3 max. Moving along to the furniture, everything was utterly filthy and priced as if it were clean and untorn. Savers is an insult to all of us respectable poor people. read more

A national thrift store chain, I have enjoyed the Saver's in MA, RI, NV and PA. You know by it's very "chain-ness" you will find a) good deals and b) it will be clean. Ample parking and easy to find amid big box stores in AZ, I found this one to be well-lit, spacious and clean. Clothes are tagged with plastic (not the dreaded staple like some others) tags and there are clothing specials all the time. The shoes were a good deal, the glass ware and kitchen stuff clean and well-displayed, some interesting furniture/furnishings in the back and always the exciting mysterious bags of random crap/magic on pegboards through-out the store. Another huge plus here are real dressing rooms with real doors that lock and real full-length mirrors inside (a much bigger deal than you realise if you aren't a serious thrifter). I found some hot boots, a leather jacket and a striped shirt for less than 20 bucks total-and that is HOT. read more

I'm going to have to agree with the reviewers who said that this location is expensive. However, I found so much good stuff that it almost kind of balances it out for me. If you are looking in their shoe selection, any good condition average-high designer label sandals will set you back $9-13. Most nice shirts seemed to be on average, $6-10. Most dresses in the gown section were $14.99 and up. So basically, it's up to you to decide whether these are high prices or not. They at least have a stamp card going on where once it fills up with stamps, you get 30% off your entire purchase. I came the night before Halloween and there were literal droves of people coming in the door to raid the racks. Man, people here in Tucson don't play around when it comes to Halloween. I came in to Savers for the first time the weeks before Halloween. My costume needed to be a'la carte, and since I would only wear it for Halloween, I didn't want to spend a ton of money on it. My friend knew about Savers and he and I came here for the first time in search of an extremely frilly skirt-suit. We asked one of the employees who not only directed to the section that would have it, walked us over there and started going through clothes and pulling them off the rack along side us. While we didn't find the costume pieces over the 5-10 times we went in, we found some amazing shoes, my friend's Halloween costume, and black slacks for his new job. You know, all I did was stand in line to buy a suit for my little boy. I realize the clothing is used and certainly don't expect it to be treated as a new buy. All I needed was a hanger to hang the suit on so it wouldn't get wrinkled in the bag. The older lady with glasses checking me out told me I could buy a hanger for the suit. If I wasn't desperate, with a sick kid at home, whom I'm trying to nurse back to health for a piano recital tomorrow, I probably would have let this pass. The proceeds from Savers benefits the Girls and Boys Club. I have never shopped in their store but have been donating for several years. The staff makes it very convenient. You drive to the Westside of the building. Someone comes out and greets you and helps unload the car. This last trip included in my donations were several "free gifts" from Casino Del Sol. We stopped in here after an unsuccessful party city trip to find halloween costumes. I was so surprised at the halloween selection! I had been here before just to shop, but not for Halloween time. They had a whole area devoted to new and used costumes, wigs and accessories. I was able to find a new wig for 3 dollars and my boyfriend's for 4 dollars. The same ones would have been over 20 at Party City which was sold out. After that we looked around at the clothes, I found a jacket and a scarf for my costume and my boyfriend found a polo shirt for his. We checked out and all of our used items were an additional 25% off! Score :D Our grand total was about $20, so of course the thrift shop song had to go through my head. I vowed not to come back to Saver's. Last experience was pretty nasty. You couldn't find the sections and sizes were hard to figure out. There was also a crazy like manager running the store. Big change. At any rate, I had a bunch of stuff including a TV and a table and lots of clothes to be donated. Most places don't take TV's for some reason. But Saver's welcomed it. Then I decided to meander into the store again to see if anything changed. Wow, nice aisles with easy to find items. Tons and tons of athletic wear. I found out that every other Monday they have 50% off everything in the store. This includes this Memorial Day Monday so if any of my friends want to catch some bargains stop in. Also nice new fitting rooms. Household goods, bedding and all sorts of items. I did pick up a pretty cool hippy looking blouse for $2.49. Hey if I waiting until Monday that would have been 50% off. I was in the store today 4/30/2022, in fact I was the first one in the door, and I was warmly greeting by one of the staff. The parking lot is very clean, as well as the store, for as many people that shop there. My beef is...the clothing was on the expensive side for a thrift store, after all, the items are all donated items. What made me want to leave a review was the mean, down right rude guy that told me to clear the aisle as I was browsing the rolling rack....totally out of line. If it wasn't for the customers, you wouldn't have a business. Tucson has some of the rudest people working in these stores, and Walmart has some of the most pathetic employees....if it wasn't for their prices, I wouldn't go there. To be honest, Target employees beat all the stores, they are super friendly, asking you if they can help you find something, and all the employees are the same, from the moment you enter the store, until you leave. Target gets the top award as far as I'm concerned. If this guy was my employee, he would get terminated immediately...if they hate their job so much, they need to go look else where because they are doing nothing for the store to make it better. read more

*****UPDATE......my nephews wife got wrote up because of this review. They claim she wrote it. What a violation of the first amendment...plus they wrote her up every day for the dumbest crap....her pants being too brown, claiming she swore at a customer and when she asked for proof they refused. Also she was told by a manager that they don't have to give her breaks and she should feel lucky to get any. What they are doing is illegal and we are suing!***** I have been shopping here for several years. Lately it has just been absolutely horrible to try to shop for anything. Where dstart? It's always trashed, clothes on the floor and employees standing around and doing nothing. When I asked the manager about the special or color of the week, he rolled his eyes and pointed at the sign and said "Read the sign." and stormed off. His name tag said his name was Keith. Throughout the duration of my shopping, I could hear this young man yelling at employees, customers, on the phone...loud enough for the whole store to hear. I was VERY uncomfortable. I got into line for checkout, and got a very nice cashier who told me about their club card and who their donations profit. She was very knowledgeable. I had a club card, and they were having a sale where you get one item free on a transaction. The cashier was new and happens to be my nephew's wife, and wasn't sure how to do it so she called over the manager. He storms over, starts yelling at her (she looked really uncomfortable) about how she should know this already, and he flat out called her an idiot. He starts slamming things on the counter, and making snarky comments. He couldnt seem to figure out how to fix the problem, so I offered him my receipt so he could look at it. He snapped "Look ma'am, I'm very busy, and I know how to do my job." I was in awe, and so were the others in line. Is this guy for real?? She looked like she was going to cry. He finally figures it out, and snaps at her "You better not be calling me up here every five minutes. I have shit to do." I had had enough at this point. I told him "sir, don't you think its unnecessary to yell? She is obviously new, told me she had just barely started. and didnt know what to do, and I believe its very unprofessional to swear at her in front of a customer." He replied with "Im not yelling. I'm a loud person. Last time I checked, you're not my supervisor. Have a nice day." He storms off to go answer the phone, where he starts yelling at THAT person! GEEZ!!!! How do these people get put into these supervisor positions? EVERY manager there is rude! I told her that she deserved better. I asked her if she was always treated this way and she told me yes, she had been treated this way and she had only been there a week. She told me that another customer physically threatened her earlier that day, and when she told this Keith fellow, he told her it wasn't his problem! And when I spoke with another manager, she said she doesn't have time to protect anyone and that she cant afford security. My nephew's wife is a good person and did not deserve to be treated like this! Thank goodness I had decided to stop by and see her that day! WHAT A JOKE!!!! DONT SHOP AT A PLACE THAT DISRESPECTS THEIR EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS! She sure has more patience than me!! I would have gone off on him. I bet they don't get paid enough to deal with half the nonsense they deal with. While I was there, I observed 3 small children destroying the toy section, and crashing and throwing toys at and into each other. Two other kids were running around with kitchen knives!
