What a piece of crap. How is that building not condemned? The service sucks, the guys are rude and the cleaning is the worst I've ever seen. They aren't the cheapest cleaners but the prices are fair and make sure you bring cash for a 3% discount as well! They are always friendly and welcoming when I go in and all my cleaning has gotten done on time and looks fantastic. If they cannot get a stain out they will let you know what the issue was. According to their website they use "Green Cleaning" which also seems like a good thing-WHAT IS GREEN CLEANING? Green cleaning involves using a solvent that is healthier and non-toxic to the environment. Although gentle to fabric, it is effective enough to deliver the highest level of cleaning performance. It provides effective environmental protection as it's non-toxic, uses non-hazardous material and is biodegradable. It gently cleans your clothes and is returned to you odorless, with a smooth feel while keeping the colors bright and vibrant. My husband had a few pairs of jeans hemmed here and we will never use them again. First, they were done at the wrong length. Second, the hem received was not professional and they did not even remove the excess fabric. Will attach a pic for an example. As you can see, this is their "hem job". Looks lazy...just tucked it under. Outside part shows extra fabric creases. I've had a lot of jeans hemmed (I and a petite woman) and they've never been this horrible. Been using them for years. Bring at least 10 items weekly. Same day cleaning is reasonable (note drop off times). Friendly staff. All things considered at market with pricing given rising costs. Clothes always come out looking the way they should and if they can't make that happen notes to indicate. Tailor is super convenient, will recommend or do as asked. Happy to see they managed thru the pandemic. read more

I took a $400 hoodie there to be dry cleaned and is came out linty like they washed it with a dog bed. The older gentleman was not considerate and didn't seem to care about my garments that I was not happy with. I've been going there for about 1yr now and sending about $125 there a month and I would never go back. Rude, and did not care at all about the condition of my garments that "They" Saveway cleaners put them in. Side note: my hoodie had no lint on it when I took it there. Also my hoodie did not smell like it was cleaned. It did not smell fresh. read more

They do a great job and the customer service has always been the best. A few times I've had some stains and they were honest about stain removal, some came out and some didn't, but we had discussed it at the start so there were no surprises. My clothes are always ready on time or early and are done perfectly. Chris and Don run a top-flight operation. Their tailor Vincent has done many first-class alterations and repairs for me. I recently learned that they own the cleaning service I used in New Canaan - I should have known!! I can't say enough about the team at Saveway. I have several times brought Saveway a piece of clothing or - most recently - a slipcover that I had little hope for. Each time they exceeded my expectations. When they were done, the article either looked new or close to it. In addition, they are always cheerful, and accommodating with regard to when the item will be ready for pickup. This place is a ripoff. I had a coupon for $50 off for new customers he had every excuse in the book not to honor it. I will be contacting the better business bureau. They are over way over priced and there are plenty other good cleaners around. I will not be going back even if it is around the corner from where I live. read more

My experience with Saveway was great. On a recent cross-country flight, the airline stowed my suitcase under a leaky valve. 6+ hours later, my bag was waterlogged and everything inside looked ruined. I took what might be salvageable to Saveway on a friend's recommendation and they were able to not only get the water stains out of items but eliminated the terrible musty odor. And they gave me a new customer discount! No suitcase disaster on this trip but I just brought more things in to them with total confidence. I just moved to the area and was looking for a cleaners nearby- I pass this place every morning and decided to give it a try. I should've known when I first walked in- it was a wrong decision. First and foremost, the entire storefront is a mess. All the employees look like slobs, no one is friendly and seems irritated that you're even there. They try upselling on all drying process as much as they can. After declining a bunch of times- they finally did what I had asked for. When I went to pick them up- it was even worse- social hour was upon all the employees- it didn't take about 5 minutes to be helped. The little girl at the counter was rude and seem bothered that she had to stop snacking and chatting to help. When I brought the clothes home- they smelled as if they were hung in a kitchen. The clothes had an oily smell nor ironed/pressed correctly ; just plain disgusting and the owner is just a rude man. Has no sense of customer service or class. This place is ATROCIOUS- please take your clothes And business elsewhere. If I had to, I would rate this -5 stars. read more

I like this place but recently thought it was too expensive...well I called around and found that their men's shirts are about a dime overpriced ($2.05) and suits about average ($13.25). Women's blouses ($6.90), Women's blazer ($7.75), Women's pants ($6.90). So, it's "dry cleaning" that's expensive, not Saveway. From a service perspective, there are ALWAYS staff to take your clothes in and get them out. So many dry cleaners have one person working the register, getting the clothes...and you can wait for ten minutes if there are two people in front of you. That doesn't happen at Saveway. They offer same day turnaround at no extra cost if you are there before 9 - very reasonable. Their tailors are good enough for me but admittedly, I don't ask for much more than a pant leg hem. They are also readily available and reliable with delivery. Oh yeah, and parking is VERY convenient with a large parking lot right in front. No real reason it's not 5 stars...guess I'm saving it! read more

Been going to saveway for 30 years. Good service- people at the front are friendly and quick to serve. The cleaning service is good but sometimes the clothes don't smell fresh. If you very expensive items I would bring them elsewhere read more

DISGUSTED!!! I brought in a Vineyard Vines tote and asked if they could clean it, explaining that the trim was silk. I was told "yes" after two people looked at it, one being the owner. I waited a week longer than promised before it was ready. When I took it home and removed the plastic I noticed that it was discolored. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the silk trim was torn and frayed in several places. I called the store and was told to bring the bag in, which I did immediately. The manager looked at the tote and said, "Why are you getting so upset? It's just a sack." Then I told him that I was upset because it was ruined and it would cost about $100 to replace it he said, "That's just stupid." I explained that I had asked if they could do the job and that it would have been ok if they had said no, but to destroy my property and then act like it was my fault for bring it in was an outrage. He said that he would have to speak to the owner and would call me the next day. He did not call by later afternoon so I went to the store. He said that the owner said he wasn't paying for the bag. I asked for my tote and a refund of what I paid for cleaning, I mean destroying, the bag. The manager (Larry) was rude, unresponsive, and unapologetic. Possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I'm not a vicious person, and very rarely do I raise a stink about poor service. I generally assume the risk of my purchase decisions, Caveat Emptor, and all that. But this is an exception. Be aware that this place is the WORST. read more

I used this place couple times for whole winter suits and sweater & summer staff. Now i opened the bag to wear winter suits which they did clean, my suit collar were pressed in wrong place -I was so shocked so went back there to fix them (3 suits!) The staff said they should be fine-just let it go. I even brought brand new suits from same brand to show how to press.They even don't say sorry, give me attitude and told me just wear like that. One side collar is pressed twice wider than other-and it should be OK???? i don't understand. NEVER GO BACK to this place-they should learn how to press. read more

Unprofessional and rude service. I dropped off a comforter with a decorative round pillow to be dry cleaned. They charged $37 for the comforter and $9 I believe for a small pillow which I thought is overpriced. However, this is not the issue. When I was about to pick it up I noticed that the pillow in the plastic wrap is not cleaned (note: not not clean enough but not cleaned at all). I complained and with some attitude about how difficult is to clean my pillow, I was not charged. When I unpacked my comforter at home, it was another disappointment. It didn't only smelled like a nuclear weapon factory but none of the stains(couple of chocolate spots) was cleaned. I am not even sure if it was cleaned at all or just sprayed with some ridiculously strong chemical. I took it back and I got some more attitude instead of an apology and I was told that I can't get a refund because it was a credit card charge and I should dispute the charge and they won't fight it. Well, thank you for that. I don't know how can you do business this way. I don't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I would have given zero stars but that's probably not possible... read more
