Went a couple of weeks ago to Saviana Winery in Cedar Hill and had a good time doing a wine tasting with the Mrs. It's a nice and cozy facility inside the tasting room. And they have outdoor seating with a little bit of a country feel. The wine was good, not great, but enjoyable. I tried their reds and the Dolcetto and Cabernet Sauvignon were the better of the bunch. The Mrs enjoyed the Roussanne out of the white wine options. They also had wine slushies, and have live music outside sometimes. Cheese board wasn't too exciting, but it was OK. It's a good spot to relax and enjoy an afternoon, especially with options for wine on the south end of Dallas County being a little limited. read more

A friend of mine recommended I check this place out and I got the opportunity, early on a Saturday evening. It is just off 67, but once you are there you forget you are next to the highway. They have a lovely outdoor area and often have live music. The man behind the bar was friendly and informative and helped me select a glass of wine. I very much enjoyed it while sitting on the patio. I had dinner plans later, so I didn't try any of the food options but I have plans to go back. read more

Nice local winery. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The staff is kind and very personable. We tried a charcuterie board and a flight of wine. Everything was nice and tasty. Nice outside covered patio. Big stone fireplace. Misters and fans. Caprese Pops. (Delicious!) Chicken Flatbread. A little dry but good. I wish I had my olive oil. 2018 Viognier - light. Not very dry. Kinda watery. Crisp. Kinda sour on the finish. Grapefruity 2109 Rose of Sangiovese - sweetly soft. Likable. 2018 Cabernet - nasty. Dirty. But drinkable for a CA wine. Better as I drank it 2018 Tempranillo. Very fruity. Plum black cherry. It has a little bit of of a Tobacco-y taste on the end. Too sweet for me. Then too earthy. Peach. Nope. Blah so sweet. They must do something about the horrible sewer smell near the bathrooms on the inside. It was awful. read more

Our friends had us come in for trivia night. They have a good spot outside for hosting this and it was fun. The wine is about what you would expect from a young Texas winery. If you have a refined wine palette this place is probably it for you. If you are a local and haven't had anything besides what they sell at Kroger, you're going to love it. We had a flatbread and a charcuterie. The flatbread was better than I expected it was going to be. The charcuterie was ok but the cheese and meat selections were pretty basic. This was a celebration for Dr. Manuel's graduation from Accupunture School. Which is quite a prestigious accomplishment! There was an event hostess, music DJ, videographer and photographer. The menu was 5 course which begin with canapés. Everything was wonderful. There's a lot to like about this place though I feel the price is really high. We got chocolate covered strawberries, a cup of wine, a wine flight, red hummus and a small charcuterie board. The total was $115. I didn't really like the wine or the hummus but the charcuterie board was good and chocolate strawberries were too. This is honestly a cool looking place and they have a great patio. The service was just okay and my date didn't like it from the start. This is a good date spot if you have the money, there are definitely cheaper options but this will impress. read more

We celebrated my mothers 60th birthday at Saviana Winery. We had a party of about 20 people. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The gathering was a surprise so they helped me hide the cake. I purchased a number of charcuterie boards, bottled of wine, pizzas, etc. The bill was less than 300.00. Gary Day performed and it was very good. The crowd sang along with him and had a great time. The majority of the seating is in the back outside. So definitely consider the weather when you go. read more

This place is such a gem. I was hesitant to go here because, quite frankly, I hate Texas wines. And a "winery" in texas had me unimpressed. Well I admit I am wrong; this little spot is one of my favorite places to hang out on earth! The inside of this very well-decorated place is really cool - dark red textured wallpaper and heavy older well cared for furniture. The outside deck is large and shaded and just a nice place to relax. The wines - they are AMAZING. I learned about where the grapes/juices come from (surprise - not texas!) and I was bowled over by many of the wines. So smooth - so full - it was just so nice. I bought a few bottles to go and now I'm jonesing to go back. It's only gonna get better in time! read more

This is a regular spot for me and a little known hidden gem. I am actually a member here and receive regular shipments of their wines (usually dry reds). This is a great place for wine tasting, a single glass of wine or happy hour. The food is pretty good and they have some excellent charcuterie boards! The service and atmosphere is excellent especially on the back patio. They have a few seats inside but they could have a few more as the weather gets cooler. This will still be one of GO-To's for a nice glass of wine with friends! read more

Now I have been to various wineries and I will give them 4-stars because they are local and just opened. In my rating system 4-Stars is above average, this place gets the push due to its customer service and pricing. I love the fact that this can and could be a great hang out on a Friday night due to proximity and wine tasting, who doesn't love that. My suggestion if you live in the area you need to swing by and give this place a try for date night, ladies night, couples night or you just want to try some wine. Saviana is my favorite winery! It is small and personal, with an awesome patio. The staff are always welcoming and attentive, and everything thing I have had here has been outstanding. I am a member of their monthly wine club and have never gotten a bad one. My husband is not a drinker, but even he enjoys the blueberry. Though his favorite thing is the pulled pork sliders. Personally, I love a good charcuterie board or one of their flatbreads. They often have live music or trivia on the patio. read more

Excellent atmosphere, low key spot that is ducked off in old town cedar hill. Very good vibes. If you are looking for a good chat and chill space this is it. The wine selections were a little dry-er then I would like as I like sweet desert wines. The food was also very good and ideal for a winery ,more of an appetizer menu ( flatbreads, charcuterie boards , skewers etc... ) no really big entrees or meals.
