So glad we chose Savon, but it wasn't a hard decision. They had best prices, were most concerned about us, responsive, and patient with our decision. I have been going here for years to buy various tile for my rental properties. I am always a bargain shopper and have properties in the desert where things are always cheaper. With that said, I still have yet to find a better deal and such great quality than at Savon! Sydney is just a pleasure to work with and SO incredibly helpful!! Even if they don't have what I need, she will make it a point to give me any tips or advice she can on what I could use instead, or even where I could go to find it (that doesn't happen often - people usually just say sorry and then go about their day). Al is one of the most knowledgeable tile owners I know and he is more than willing to work with you, your budget, and your design ideas. I am writing a review for Savon Flooring in carlsbad, CA. I bought granite counter tops from them about 6 years ago and they did a very good job and their prices were very good. I am writing now because I had such a positive response from them after 6 years. I was worried about a crack in the granite near the sink and they came out twice and recalked the sink, polished and sealed all the granite. at practically no cost when the problem was not because of their work. I recently had my entire home re-floored (except the kitchen), and am incredibly pleased with the appearance, the installation, and the price to do so! You will so enjoy working with Sydney in the office, Allen, the owner, who is most accommodating; and, do request that Luis Garcia and his crew are your installers. They are masters of installing flooring - regardless of any challenges that may arise. i was able to comfortably leave my home each day to run errands, without any concern about their professionalism, honesty and diligence. Actually, prepare yourself to be patient with their insistence on doing the very best job...,may take a bit more time than originally promised...,but, so worth the wait. I would not recomend this company to anyone. The owner, Allen was quite rude. He would cut me off when I asked questions. He promised me extras he did not deliver. He said he would throw in the baseboards, but later went back on that promise. It was my fault for believing him and not getting it in writing. The granite had to be removed and taken back to the shop and polished because it was very rough and on one edge not polished at all. The carpet was the most shoddy installation job I have ever seen. The thresholds were cut short and one was left loose and when I vacuumed, it pulled a thread into the hall and left a bare spot. When they came out to fix it they just glued a piece of carpet threads onto the bare spot. There were two spots where a bad cut had been made and went 2" into the hall. They pieced it. Then they tried to tell me it was my fault and I had pulled the thread, when it was obviously a bad cut. All this took me two months to get a response and the issues fixed, if you could call it fixed. read more

Had the great fortune to stop in and pick flooring for the TI work in our new building. They were a great help in picking samples, and the salesman came out and measured, handled the deposit and ordered the flooring. When the flooring was delivered to the office, not only was it the wrong size, but not enough. Being a contracts person, everything must be in writing, however, when trying to explain this to the owner and salesperson, they said that they "would make it right". Unfortunately, that doesn't work in business. Not only would they not reorder the correct flooring, but they would not order the specified amount as well, saying, "it was enough". In trying to explain to them that the contract calls for a specific flooring and amount, they accused the firm of "nickel and diming" them. Have not heard back after several attempts at correspondence. If you deal with them, make sure EVERYTHING is spelled out perfectly in writing, leaving NO ROOM for error. read more

NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! Cheap Cabinets! I don't mean good price! Not finished underneath upper cabinet, not true to color, don't trust contractors they never come back on time then they don't do a good job, counter tops I paid extra for was cut crooked and they won't do anything about it! Back splash came in broken , 5 days later started put it in didn't have enough to finish. ..didn't call or come back for 6 days ...flooring put in nice tile but! Still not done putting in transitions wrong colors to match floor every time I call and ask, when is it going to be done...they say we will get back to you. ..this has been going on for over 30 days..Al is lier... The worst ever. The guys they sent to our house on the first time did not use any levels and the tiles were vary uneven. The back splash and the tie work on the stairs had to be torn out and re done by another crew. Spacing in tiles un even air bubbles in grout. Ugly tile work. They tried to tell us that we had an uneven floor etc. We demanded it re done and the a team that they sent did an acceptable job. Overall a bad experience. read more

Four years ago, Savon Flooring installed granite counter tops in our kitchen. We were very please with the result. We recently had Savon Flooring install Luxury Laminate Vinyl flooring in the family room, bamboo laminate flooring in the living room and granite stack stone facial on the fire place. Alan was very accommodating, flexible and helpful throughout the process. The workers who did the installations were professional and committed to accomplishing the results that we wanted. The stack stone for the fireplace was actually the same granite that had been install on our kitchen counters. The granite had been cut into pieces about 6 inches long, one-inch high and half and inch wide. Vega, the stone artisen, then cut and stacked the pieces one by one to create an almost mosaic stack stone look. Since the kitchen is open to the family room, the fireplace is visible over the kitchen counter. The visual effect is stunning. Could not be happier with Savon Flooring, Alan, Sydney, Vega, and all of the people who work on the project. read more

Everyone that works at Savon Flooring is very friendly. We selected them for a countertop remodel in our bathrooms. However, when we got our quote it was very vague and we had to talk with them 2 different times for an explanation in regards to labor and material costs. Next, we asked for a quote for our showers and specifically requested that the labor and material costs be separated. We got the quote without the separation. I emailed a few times to request the labor and material to be separated and never got a response with a new quote. So...we took our business elsewhere. read more

We have waited one year for work to be completed. We have written two 1 star yelp reviews that neither Allen or Sydney say they read nor responded to us. We sent a letter a month ago to the BBB and Sydney said she never hear from them. That does not happen, the BBB immediately write to the business. Allen was extremely rude and was severely insulting to me one day when I went in to see him about finishing up our work. He screamed and was swearing every other word. A month later they sent three men to finish the job. They attempted the 'glue' things into place. Needless to say all the glued repairs came apart the following day. I called again and spoke to Sydney. She talked about how busy they are that she was training in a new person. She was sorry to hear that things didn't work out and would speak to Allen about it. We asked her to make this a priority for making us wait so long for shoddy unacceptable work. Buyer Beware! Do not pay for a job until it is fully completed. We paid, and now are complete strangers to them. read more

Terrible! My senior parents moving into a new house in a 55+ community went to Savon for granite counters and tile backsplash. The installers scratched the new counter and gouged the hardwood floors. They have promised to come and buff out the scratch on the new counter but have completely given my mom the runaround, making appointments for which they are a no show. Two times now my mother has waited for hours without word until she called them only to be told 'we are not going to be able to make it'. Shame on you! When questioned about the gouge in the flooring the response was, "I can give you a good price to do all new floors here." Is that how you drum up business? Make this right. read more

Allen sold me "8lb padding" and charged me for top grade carpet and padding. After investigating the padding it proved to be a blackmarket product that weighs 3lbs- if I am lucky and a middle of the road carpet, at best !!! Good ol' Allen promised in front of witnesses and even while being recorded, at least 15 times that he was going to be out with his crew and remove both the pad and the carpet and give me a full refund of $1835.00 for the carpet and padding that he laid in two 10 x 12 ft bedrooms and closets. I told him I did not want him to replace it since he had dealt dishonestly with me! He told me to order my new carpet and padding, that I was getting from a more reputable dealer, to replace the morass he created, because I would need it when he removed the carpet he put in. By the way, the new better grade and true wt pad and top grade carpet only cost $1000.00!!! Hmmm, I think someone lied when the floors were measured and added some more cost to what he sold me, but good ol' Allen wouldn't do that, now would he!!!The first morning he promised to be at my home with his crew for the refund he lied and just showed up himself an hour late. Then he lied and said he was sending someone out to "inspect my carpet" that day so he could recover the carpet cost when he took it out later that day! The lies flow so easily from this serpent's tongue! I grew up in a small town where you could trust people's work and word! Well the "carpet inspector" went into the darkest corner of the bedroom closet to do his inspection and closed the door so he could pull up my carpet without me seeing and steal a corner of the carpet pad. After calling the police and prying the number for the "inspector"out of Allen. I called the "carpet inspector" and he confessed to doing so, but said Allen had sent him to take the padding so he could inspect it. I never gave this man permission, nor did I sign anything saying he could take a piece of the padding in my home! In my world we call that stealing and lying!! I had shown "the inspector" my receipt and Allen has a copy of the same receipt. It seems to me "the inspector" should be able to get a sample of the padding from Allen if it were the true pad that was stated to be sold to me and not come into my home under the guise of "checking the carpet"!!! Well, the lies continued..Allen did not come at the afternoon appt with me to pay the refund and remove the carpet and said he come later in the evening and I had to call because he did not come again!!! I have been very, sick this past year and by this time I was becoming very anxious, about a man who could break his word so many times. Well, he reassured me that I should go to my Bible study class Tues evening because he would have his crew at my home at 7:30 am on Wed prior to the new carpet being delivered. Well, I guess you know what happen by now...He didn't come and nor could I reach him until 9:10 am when he smuggly stated, oh, I sent you an email! What?? He stated in his email that I got what he sold me!!! Oh boy, did I get what he sold me a bunch of lies! The only reason I bought new carpet was because he repeatedly stated he was removing his products from my home and fully refunding me in the form of a check (he even said cash earlier in the day because I said I didn't trust him with a check, but he lied about that too and changed it back to a check)! I did not want to even replace the carpet until next month because I have a crushed finger with a fracture and terrible wound and on top of that the people in the two bedrooms are moving out for college so the rooms would have been empty on the first of Nov.!! Allen was in a big, hurry and the carpet/pad removal was all happening the next day when I first told what I had found out when a more reputable dealer came into my home and inspected the carpet and pad. I also mentioned that a person who had worked for him told me how he aquires black market carpet padding and cheats people by using it and selling it at retail prices!!! I called Fri and he was coming on Sat to take it out! I told him to wait until I could shop and get carpet ready to go in after he took his out and by Mon we were making multiple calls and appts all based on his repeated word to refund me fully! I answered his email and asked him why he lied and lied about what he was doing, but he has not responded. I told him you could have simply said "I'm not going to do anything about this" and spared me all this hardship and stress which has lead to a worsening of my illness! Well, now the civil court and the Contractors State License Board will deal with him. I just want to save good people from being lied to and stolen from,so I have labored to fill this out! read more

I am so impressed with the help I recieved I felt I needed to give everyone a big thumbs up!I have been budgetting to do granite counter tops in my kitchen.I have spent a good deal of time trying to find something affordable with a high end look. Sydney in sales was great, she is knowledgable and gave me as much care as she would someone who was spending alot of money. Her fabricator Vernon was awesome. He allowed us to watch him cutting the needed angles and pieces to make sure our measurements we brought in were spot on. He also caught an error in our calculations which would have resulted in a total loss of one piece. He sealed the granite and answered our questions regarding installation about preserving the granite. He really went above and beyond with the extra effort. Not only are they affordable, we found they have a great selection. Our counter tops look absolutely amazing. I can hardly wait to start saving to put in a tile floor. read more

I was a little skeptical because the price was so good, but Allen assured me that their work is quality and that I'd be happy. They came in on a Saturday and knocked out the job in one day. I recently had flooring installed by Savon Flooring. Sydney helped me pick out my tile which goes very well with the laminate I picked out and looks beautiful. Unfortunately that is the only positive point I can make. The installer they sent out to install the tile did an ok job of installing the tile but did nothing to protect saltillo tiles under his tile cutting saw, the windows next to his saw, or recently installed artificial turf. What a mess I had to clean up. To add insult to injury, halfway through the installation of the laminate, the installers discovered they were 5 boxes short. The measurements had been done wrong. Then I had to wait two weeks because they had to go out of state to find the extra boxes. The entry way which had tile on it previously sat uncovered for the two weeks until the installer could finish the job. He finished in 1/2 a day, however, he neglected to grind down the surface of the slab before laying the laminate. After he left I noticed that every time I walked over the entry way, a 5'X12' area, it cracked and creeked. The rest of the room was fine. It had previously been covered by carpeting. I contacted Allen and he sent someone out to look at it and he said it needed to be taken up and the slab needed to be ground down and smoothed out. Needless to say the entire experience was a total nightmare! read more

i had a horrible experience with these guys...i am redoing my office and need a 13 foot x 2 ft countertop and stopped in while having my cabinets installed to check prices. I was very clear with the sales rep Nick that I wanted a slab cut to fit a 2 ft x 13ft counter (rectangular), he told me I could pick from their inventory and have it cut and delivered for a total price of $795. I said great. I picked my slab and their guy come to measure and i went back to pay, and then he jumped the price on me to $1800 and told me he misunderstood my measurement and/or was only referring to his prefab granite and not anything on floor...excuses, excuses...i told him he needs to listen better, turned around and walked out the door...i don't know if Nick is stupid or sleazy, but the interaction was very distasteful read more

We had contracted with Sav On Flooring to fabricate a Granite Top, and the work was very sub standard. The cuts were not straight, the glued on edge has now fallen off and was not fabricated or glued properly. The sealing of the slab was sloppy and the detail work was poor. The owner refused to rectify the situation, and placed blame back on us. Their customer service is POOR! Very unprofessional outfit, and even if you get everything in writing, you better hope that nothing goes wrong. read more

If there were a way to give no stars, I would. I bought a product from USfloors thru Savon several years ago. The price was very good and that's where the positive ends. I have had two defective planks, both it appears to be from insect damage before the planks got to my house. An independent inspector came and verified this. After trying to work with Al and Sydney at Savon to help remedy the situation (getting the manufacturer to replace the planks and provide free labor to do it) as Savon is the retail outlet I bought it from and has the established relationship with USfloors, I have come to the conclusion that Savon lives by the "Promise and don't deliver" slogan. Sydney has promised me several times she would follow up and it just doesn't happen without my waiting a lengthy period of time and then recontacting her. And then it's the same thing all over again, "I'll contact USfloors and get back to you." Sure thing. Initially, Al insisted that I use existing left-over planks from the floor to replace it. I suppose I could have done that, but isn't there something to be said for guaranteeing a product and rectifying the problem your product created??? Maybe that tradition has gone by the way side. Savon and USfloors have delivered the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life (I'm 62). This is the first review I have ever felt compelled to write. I think if you buy something there, you'll get a good price, but just hope that you never need to have anything repaired or replaced. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, they do not stand by their promises. I'm guessing all the 5 star reviews are friends, relatives and maybe even an occasional happy customer but beware. read more

The owner, Alan is EXTREMELY lucky he has a good person working for him. The work will get done...eventually. Our fabricator for our counters was amazing...everyone else was pretty much worthless. Our carpets are installed crooked on our stairs, our cabinet was hacked in order for the plumber to install our sink and the carpentry around our sink is horrible. Thank goodness we had Oscar the counter fabricator to help clean up some of the horrible work. Alan yelled at me on the phone, blamed me and made excuses for why no one ever showed up at my house. Carpet people didn't show, counter people didn't show and plumber didn't show until I threatened to go somewhere else. Alan is clueless on business. He says one thing, Sydney says another and the workers themselves have an entirely different story. We were planning on using this company for tiling but no thank you. We have to pay someone to fix the damages this company caused. Happy with Oscar the fabricator but the rest of this group is a class of clowns. If it seems to good to be true it usually is. Go somewhere where it is an actual business with a system and process. read more

This company cares nothing about their customers satisfaction or the quality of work they provide. We went to them for an island counter for our kitchen. We went in to great detail about how we wanted the counter cut and fit around a post on the island. We clarified with them and got confirmation from Alan via voicemail that he understood what we wanted. When they came to install it the fabricators installed it wrong and it looks terrible. We went to Alan to get it corrected. He's solution via email was that they would cover the labor but we'd have to pay for a new counter or they'd patch in a piece. WHAT?! A patch would look like crap and why do we have to pay for your mistake? We emailed back saying we weren't satisfied with their solution. They never replied. They don't care that we're not satisfied. Don't let this happen to you! I'm surprised this place stays in business. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews prior to going here, I would of never used them. read more

Al Bayrooti lied to us. We placed our order 6 weeks prior to the job install to ensure all materials arrived and things would go smoothly. 2 weeks before install we got a call from Al stating the counters we had ordered 6 weeks ago were not in stock so, he brought to us 2 choices which now did not match the counters in the 3 baths. The sub contractors they hired to do the counters absolutely tore up my kitchen. They were rude and non responsive to my questions. Also They cracked one corner piece during install. The window meeting the slab was just ugly awful. Al promised a new slab for the cracked corner , I also requested that the grout job be corrected it was like a 3 yr. old did it. It was messy. I asked for the grout to be cleaned up and fix my kitchen wall they damaged and replace the cracked corner slab. Al sent the same company out and all they did was a shitty putty replacement on a corner. The work they did was substandard. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL THEY CUT CORNERS LIE TO CUSTOMERS AND DO A SHITTY JOB.!!!!! If you get a walk through estimate with Al video RECORD his ass because he will certainly go back on his word. So RECORD ANYONE COMING TO YOUR HOME FROM THIS COMPANY! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!! Bad service, unfinished product, no work ethic. I ordered a piece of granite to use as top for a piece of furniture. After a week I was told it was ready for pick up. So I went the next day, the piece was not ready for pick up as it was covered in dust and dirt. A guy at shop apologized and started to clean it ~ with a piece of carpet he pulled from the street trash bin!!!! (Disgusting!). After sharing info with Sidney, she brought a cleaning product for him to use and paper towels~ now... imagine a mixing a cleaning paste product with all the dust and dirt! It looked worse than before! all covered with a paste of grime!!!! so I decided to take it home AS IS and cleaning myself..... BTW there was no personnel to load piece in truck.... so my son and I had to do it and secured it ourselves!!!! I expected for Sidney to offer a discount for the inconvenience, lack of professionalism, and not having the piece finished as promised.... it did not even crossed her mind to make things right.... Be aware.... once they have your money customer service and work ethic goes out the door! read more
