Came here today after a hike with my partner and our dog since we needed a place with outdoor seating. The outdoor setup was really nice and it wasn't busy at all, which we liked. My partner ordered the pernil with arroz con gandules and sweet plantains and he really enjoyed it. We shared the trio ceviche and bourbon chicken wings. The wings were very good. The ceviche was hit or miss for me, the shrimp and octopus were decent, but the mahi was too sour, so I skipped it. I ordered the mahi bites with white rice and black beans and asked for the pineapple mango sauce on the side. The dish ended up being pretty bland and had a green sauce on it that I didn't care for, so I had to add salt and pepper and hot sauce. The food took a little while, but it seemed freshly made. A lot of people picking up takeout kept saying how much they love the food, so I'd be open to trying it again and ordering something different. Overall, mixed experience, but worth trying if you're looking for Puerto Rican food in the area. read more

What a delightful surprise. We looked up on YELP sweet plantains nearby and this place caught my attention. We also checked out the menu and knew what we wanted. Each of us got a different rice bowl. I had the skirt steak, my friend had the Mahi and my partner had the peunil and all three were delicious. The sweet plantains were perfectly cooked. We also had a order of churros, and two flan. So happy I decided to finally try Savor 100x35. Super cute decor and true to their Puerto Rican heritage/culture. Everyone was absolutely sweet, personable, and attentive. The food was delicious, well seasoned, and comes out hot and fresh. You know the foods good when you can smell the aroma of other guests plates walking past you. Lol. Their sangrias are amazing. You can tell it's made in house. Not overly sweet/dry. Was made just right and highlighted the different flavors well. I highly recommend ordering the flights. It allows you to try all their flavors at a reasonable price. I don't have a favorite but the passion fruit was my go to for the night. The wings were absolutely delicious. Very well seasoned and flavorful. I'm a blue cheese kind of girl when it comes to wings, but their house made ranch is fire! Best ranch I've had, in MY opinion. The empanada was also very flavorful and packed with beef in every bite. I was pretty stuffed with the two appetizers, but was able to have a few bites of my El Churrasco Bowl and the Salmon Mofongo Bowl. Both were prepared and seasoned well. I am so happy North Port has such an amazing restaurant. The music and vibes were wonderful. Such a great spot for all kinds of vibes. The main course was pork over Spanish rice with sweet plantains. I never had a sweet plantain. What a difference! It was sweet and flavorful. I would go back just for the plantain. I had an enjoyable meal with a large group of people and a fixed menu. The owner/manager is an affable gentleman and he is passionate about his restaurant and his plans going forward. The menu was made up of largely Puerto Rican flavors. All freshly prepared and nicely presented. The appetizers were OK, but I found them a bit dry and the sauces lacking somewhat in flavor. The entree was a nice Mojo Seared Pork Loin served over a rice dish (arroz mamposteao), and a side of sweet plantains. The pork dish was very good and the Mojo seasoning was memorable and mouthwatering. The rice was very good, but a little on the dry side. The sweet plantains were perfectly prepared and added a lot to the pork. It was actually a genius move with the Mojo pork...they complemented each other perfectly. The churros dessert was good...though I think dips could have been more creative. How about a mango/orange jelly or spicy pepper jelly...rather than dulce de leche and nutella. Surprise me with something out of the ordinary...then I promise I will drive from Fort Myers regularly. That said...this is a destination restaurant for anyone within a reasonable distance. I didn't want to ever have to give this restaurant a less than five star review. However, after visiting on Christmas Eve Eve, I must. I really wanted to holiday special, the Christmas special - arroz con gandules, pernil, pasteles, tembleque, so I made sure to make it there that Saturday. I walked in right after lunch was beginning to be served. There was only one gentleman at the counter, eating. No one sitting outside and no one seated tables. The bartender/hostess/waitress walked over to me once i walked up the bar. I don't even think she greeted me or said hello. I told her my order, one of the Christmas specials and a side order of sweet plantains. The restaurant was clean but I guess it would be considering it was still early on in the day and no one was inside. She put my order in and almost immediately walks back to me with the bill and puts it on the counter. I see they have a scan code to pay so I do that. $33.80 for one lunch special and sweet plantains ($5 for 4 small pieces by the way). I get that inflation is driving costs up but dang, that's a bit pricey. At this point, two young ladies walk in and want to dine in. She tells them to sit where they want. And never once goes to give them a menu or anything. Five minutes later, my bag is brought out. She looks at me to pay and I explain that I paid online through the Q-code. She says okay, and walks away. Doesn't say thank you. Finally, someone had come in to work and was finally heading out to the two women who were still waiting in the outdoor seating to be attended to. I typically don't tip as much as I did that day but I figured, heck, it's the holidays. Why not? If I could have taken my tip back, I would have. It doesn't cost anything to be friendly to the person that is choosing your restaurant to be their lunch meal and to at least say thank you when they are walking out. I got nothing. Went back again and ordered the Puerco bowl. I wanted the pork that was on my Cuban sandwich but the items in the Puerco bowl are my favorite. Yes Yes YES! This place absolutely rocks! We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday morning and boy were we impressed! Walking up to the strip mall they have a cute outdoor patio, 4 or so tables and some shade, some nice fake grass under the tables. Walking through the patio we open the door to hear some Spanish music, the bar is right up front with cute lighting and decor. The atmosphere was absolutely top notch, and the smell was intoxicating! One of the employees behind the bar greeted us and told us to sit wherever we wanted; we grabbed a high top near the door. We were given menus and got our drinks very quickly! The menu had a lot of Latin fusion items, and a few that didn't necessarily read as "Latin" or "Spanish". Some breakfast bowls (most had eggs), French toast options, and other stuff. My wife got the Chorizo Sunshine Burrito, it was just the right size and had fluffy eggs, the chorizo was great! I ordered the Churrasco Con Huevos bowl, the portion was pretty big, featuring eggs, steak, chimichurri, potatoes, and plantains. I think the chimichurri is what made the bowl, the steak had a nice char and the plantains were the perfect sweet to balance the savory from the rest of the dish! 100% we will be back for a lunch or dinner, this place has me impressed, the last time I was this impressed woth a restaurant was on our honeymoon (and that place was literally 5 times the price, but that's a whole other thing). I am not very familiar with Puerto Rican cuisine but I have always been curious about certain dishes that they are known for. The first one being mofongo, I was so excited to see it on the menu. I tried it and OMG, where have I been living. The plantain was so savory but the flavor of the protein, which mine was pork was amazing! My husband tried the tostones and he also enjoyed the flavors.
