Great catering option for companies that are tired of the same old generic deli sandwich platters that always look and taste the same (bland). Flatbread is tasty, but my favorite was the salmon salad and coleslaw. And they use big chunks of Ghirardelli chocolate in their brownies -- YUM!!! Met a rep from their catering staff, and she is not only knowledgeable and friendly, but offered helpful suggestions while letting us know they can be flexible. This place has fine food and delivers promptly. However, there is an acute lack of attention to detail when it comes to getting what you order. Perhaps this it is my fault for contiuing to return, but in the economical food delivery wasteland of midtown, I don't have too many options. Routinely my order shows up missing one or two key ingredients. While on the whole accurate (the right basic sandwich or salad), there's something missing. It could be the roll I asked for with my salad or, more importantly and regularly, the chicken I ask for on my salad. That sauce I didn't want finds its way on to a sandwich. Perhaps this is the product of shrewd calculation on Savory's part - these little mix-ups aren't enough to get me to call them up to complain or refund anything, but they add up and the end result is this review. I stay in a hotel 3-4 nights a week. The first time I ordered from !savory I was very impressed. It was started by a consultant like myself so I figured they 'got it'. I thought I found my new go-to place. This all changed with my second order that I've got in front of me now. Delivery estimate was 25-40 minutes. It arrived 65 minutes later and is frigid. Nothing like eating ice cold chicken and fries. It's one thing for delivery to a home, but when you are in a hotel there is no way to heat up the food. Very poor execution. Too bad. Edit - 1 day later. I'm bumping this up to 3 stars from 1. Rodney at !Savory reached out to me by phone today to apologize and to apply a credit to my account. This was nice of them. Great choice for delivery! Love the quinoa side and the crunchy earth. My only complaint is that they are a little heavy on the salt. Got the lentil soup once and had to throw it away because it was way too salty! So the items can be a bit hit or miss, but it's more often good than it is bad. read more

Savory is my go to lunch spot when I'm in a hurry. All of their food is made fresh daily and I can definitely taste it in everything that I have eaten their. My favorites have to be the Thai Guy and the Sombrero. The thai guy is super healthy but still flavorful and the sombrero's chipotle mayo and tortilla chips is what makes it different from other turkey sandwiches. So if you get a chance you should definitely try it for lunch or dinner sometime! read more

I used to order from Savory all the time before I moved. If I'm ordering for my office, I always get the summer rolls and miso atlantic salmon, but the turkey burger on the dinner menu is insane. I always try to stay in Midtown when I come back to visit so I can order dinner from there! read more

On the days when I'm working late in Midtown, and many of my favorite lunch places have either shut down or converted to dinner service, I can count on Savory to deliver (no pun intended) a great meal. They're better than getting food to go at a restaurant because they actually know how to package their food for delivery, and not just stuffing a meal in a container. I would give zero stars if I could. This is the first time I've ever written a review. They didn't include half my order, spilled my sauce everywhere so I'm covered in it to even extricate my food, didn't even include sauce (ie the container) other than what was spilled, and put me on hold 4 times when I called to complain. Get your order in now! Savory has a great selection of food. They offer a nice variety of sandwiches and fresh twists on some classics. Unfortunately !Savory failed to live up to the expectation and hype created by their business model and website. The food was less than mediocre and provided absolutely no basis for me to want to order from them again. Although it came quickly and in nice/orderly packaging, the meal was simply not good: bland, plain, and likely microwaved. There are much better (and less expensive) alternatives in this price range, and I still wouldn't order from here on an unlimited budget. Great concept, terrible execution, and extortionist prices. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich for $16. What a ripoff. It arrived cold, the meat was only OK, they forgot to put the pickles and coleslaw on, and so the sammy was dry and barely edible. Blech. Don't bother. We tried the lasagna, which is meant to be one of their signature dishes. It was very salty and over salting aside would not have been anything special.
