I finally got a chance to visit this place and I am so happy that I did. I was going to visit my 99 year old grandmother and wanted to get her some sweets on my way there. When I walked in, a kind lady greeted me and asked me what I would like to get. I told her that I am visiting my grandmother and what she recommends that are not too sweet and easy to chew for an elder. Everything that she recommended was delicious! She even gave couple of pastries on the house for my grandma to try which was so sweet and kind. When I got to my grandma's house, she tried a little bit of everything and enjoyed it! I could see if from the smile on her face. That day was the last day I saw my grandma well before she went to hospital 5 days later and passed away 3 days after that. But I am so happy that this bakery and especially the kind owner, gave me a chance to see my grandma enjoying the pastries and being all happy. I stumbled upon this place today while looking for breakfast, and let me just say that I was absolutely blown away! First of all, the selection of pastries is PHENOMENAL, and everything looks GOOD. 10/10 on presentation alone. They have everything from fresh loaves of bread, to sweet danishes and pies, to savory quiche and even breakfast sandwiches. You can tell a lot of love goes into everything here. My daughter is super picky and they were even able to accommodate her with a simple avocado toast even though it was not listed on the menu. This place truly gives that family-friendly vibe that is just sooooo lacking in just about every business you see in south OC. Today was my daughter's birthday and she had on a little birthday hat. The woman working noticed and wished my daughter a happy birthday. To me, this alone is a kind and notable gesture. A few moments later, they brought out a pastry for my daughter with "happy birthday" written in sugar. They even played birthday music in the lobby for her. Tried out Savour Bakery today, and I was so impressed! The pastries are phenomenal and so fresh. We tried the beef pocket, the chocolate croissant, and the peach tart, all of which were excellent. Per my sister: 10/10 for everything except the beef pocket....which is 11/10!!!!! I liked how welcoming the bakery is. The staff are so sweet, and there was a table of regulars hanging out while we were enjoying our latte and hot chocolate. You can either eat at a table or take your stuff to-go. What I'm going to assume was the owner, didn't seem like she appreciated me dropping a bit of money down on quite a few extremely overpriced dry pastries. Because, she was short with me and she seemed to be showing a tinge of irritation. I guess she didn't like answering questions from someone that visited her bakery for the first time. I asked her three times for an iced drink but, I received a hot one from her worker, the worker that she gave my beverage order to. I'm not blaming the worker, I'm blaming the owner for the beverage mistake since she was clearly not listening to me three times when I gave her my beverage order. I was prompted for a tip but, I didn't give one since the service was so bad. It was uncomfortably hot in there. Like so hot, I was about to pass out, and the door was even open on that cool morning quite recently. I asked for a receipt but, I didn't receive one since the owner walked to the back before my transaction was even completed. I received no thank you for your business, no thanks for trying us out for the first time. In fact, the owner didn't even return, she stayed in the back, her worker gave me the beverage. So, I'm just going to assume since the owner did everything else wrong, she probably overcharged me on purpose as well but, I can't prove that since I didn't receive the receipt that I asked for. I was going to walk back in with the hot beverage and ask for the one I actually ordered. But, putting up an honest review helps you out more to fix your obvious problems, you are welcome! read more

This is a nice little bakery, located in a shopping plaza, with a handful of tables inside and a couple outside along the walkway. I stopped in on a weekday morning and was immediately greeted by a polite woman behind the counter. As I looked over the pastry case she could tell I was trying to make a decision so began explaining the various offerings. I decided on a raspberry danish and a cinnamon roll. I also ordered a hot vanilla latte. Having explained I was going to sit inside at a table to enjoy this order, she placed my pastries on a paper plate and soon brought a mug containing my vanilla latte to my table. The latte was quite good, very smooth. The raspberry danish was excellent with layers of crunchy croissant-like pastry and a flavorful lake of raspberry on top. So many cinnamon rolls I eat have hard or crunchy outer layers of the roll with only the center being soft but this one was soft on the outside layers and even softer in the middle. Personally I like a strong, in-your-face explosion of cinnamon for my cinnamon rolls but this was more subtle. I'll be back to try other pastries and am also interested in trying the baguettes they sell. read more

I've had my eyes on Savour for a long time now, but they are typically closed by the time I get work in the evenings. When I was in the area on a weekend for a volunteer event, I stopped my Savour for a quick snack to get my ready for my event. From the outside they have a few cute French tables on the outside and about another 5 tables on the inside. They have free wifi if you're looking to get some work done. I was immediately greeted by Ava, who was super sweet and welcoming. I decided to get their Chicken Pot Pie Pastry ($7.02) and added the Side Salad ($2) and a hot Ginger Honey Tea ($4.68). I also got a Potato Pillow ($5.72), Everything Roll, and Guava and Cream Danish ($5.72). Visually their pastries were lacking the technical excellence I usually admire, but the flavors are on point. I LOVE the chicken pot pie. It was so delicious and comforting. It was exactly what I needed to be ready for my day. Also the side salad was the perfect touch to round out the meal and make it healthy. The hot tea was also really soothing. Upon hearing that it was my first visit, Ava was so sweet and offered me a complimentary weekend special pastry, her Kouign-Amann. I came later in the afternoon so it wasn't fresh fresh, but it was still delicious and much appreciated. I would love to come back to Savour one morning to enjoy their pastries all fresh. Found this charming local European-style Bakery by accident as I searched for a Bakery in the area to grab something for Breakfast while in the area! Their Quiche looked great, nice and hardy and I love a good Chocolate Croissant !! While checking out the owner asked if I wanted bread and I asked for Sourdough and she had it. The size was huge, I said it's like carrying a baby and she said the same time at the same time. Too funny. Guess many of her Customers say the same thing. I ended up with the Mushroom & Spinach Quiche, an Almond Chocolate Croissant, a regular Chocolate Croissant, a huge loaf of Sourdough and a nice Cafe Latte to go!! The Chocolate Croissant was eaten on the ride home (delicious and had ample chocolate unlike many places I've bought fresh chocolate croissants) and toast was made with the Sourdough for now at home. Will have fresh bread for lunch and dinner and more! Stop in and check out their amazing selection of pastries. I'll be back to try other items now that I know Savour Bakery is there! read more

What a lovely little gem of an European coffee shop. Sweet lady greeted me and was warm and friendly. Selection of pastries is immaculate ! There was so many to choose from. I got the guava cheese which was super yummy, a more dense pastry. Almond croissant which was great and also a savory jalapeño croissant which paired later at home with an egg was delicious. I had Savour Bakery bookmarked a long time ago and today I was able to pay it a visit. The European cafe ambience is unmistakable. The first I noticed are the flower baskets on the rail. Of course it has many choices of croissants and tarts and pastries. It feels like a place you can sit and relax for a while. I ordered a croissant sandwich and a large coffee as I often do. It was very satisfying. I was tempted to order a fruit tart but it will have to wait for the next visit. You know it's a small family owned business the minute you walked in the door. There was only person taking care of the whole joint. Many businesses left their business cards & flyers on a table by the door so you know its owner is involved in local community. Oh my: soooo disappointed. Cafe (6 tables?) got great reviews but what *I* ordered & received was terrible! Ordered the ham/onion quiche and a cup of coffee. There are NO prices on any of the displayed bakery items so you have to ask if you want to know. After it was rung up, the gal at the registered asked if I wanted cream and I said, "Yes". She then charged me $.52 extra. What???? In my entire lifetime I've NEVER been charged xtra for using cream (it was half & half) ANYWHERE. Glad I didn't ask for salt & pepper. Then, when I got the quiche, it tasted like plastic had been infused! And the top was all darkly brown and basically separated from the quiche. Also, the quiche was curdled! I finally figured out, I hope, that the plastic taste was due to far too much nutmeg mixed into or on top of the quiche. Literally the worst quiche I have ever had. Horrible. There was no excuse for this debacle. Waaaay overcooked quiche and charging for using cream in your coffee. Greedy and cheap. Not nice. Will add a pic I took of the quiche later today. read more

Cute little bakery with a very sweet owner. The baked goods are fantastic. My favorites are the peach tart which has a thick crust and baked peach. Not too sweet and perfectly balanced. Next is the creme brule which upon order she brules right in front of you! My only complaint is all my friends are moving away so I won't be there any more. Doesn't stop there - my mocha tasted exactly like chocolate milk, no hint of espresso at all. Overwhelming amount of chocolate. Got the amour special sandwich having it look like someone was hungover from a night of partying piecing together to have it be passable as a sandwich. 11.44 for a sandwich the size of a child's hand is crazy. Uhhh NO! HATE this place! It's a sad spin off of an amazing bakery up the street. The owner is rude and the food is a JOKE. Do better! With inflated costs for eating out this is not how I want to spend my money - Costco has better croissant sandwiches and when you ask them about your order as it seems it looks nothing like the picture - they laugh Infront of everyone and say yeah, no that's it. First and foremost, the service was outstanding. The barista patiently explained what the favorite flavors of the customers are, and took my not straightforward order with a smile and made a delicious decaf rose latte with oat milk in a jiffy! The atmosphere is peaceful, there is a steady stream of customers on a Sunday evening before close (I think a good sign) despite a very strange location. Once they close at 5pm, though, I am looking forward to moving just outside to the public seating on "the patio". The barista also gave me a raspberry cheese danish (my choice of flavor at her insistence) when she found out it was my first time in the bakery. Above and beyond. The danish was great. The. Best. Croissants and pastries this side of France. Whenever I'm in town visiting family, this is always my go to breakfast and coffee spot. The most beautiful homemade selection of tarts, pastries and croissants. The chocolate is my personal favorite. The fresh juice menu is delicious and the coffees are delicious and often named after Taylor Swift songs. The decor is bright and cheerful with a selection of children's books to entertain the kiddos. The owners couldn't be sweeter and start baking at 4am daily. Run don't walk here. read more
