I originally started going there because they're organic salad bar and I love that all organic food is listed on menus. They also have delicious carrot cake and muffins like a carrot and bran . I visited Savoy today around 1pm. and had a very disappointing experience. I got in line at the hot case to place an order. There was only one customer at the register, and two employees were behind the hot case, but neither acknowledged that I was waiting. One employee walked around the hot case to the salad bar and passed right by me without greeting me or letting me know someone would be with me shortly. The same employee then walked back and proceeded to assist another person who had arrived after I did. By that point, I had already been waiting for about five minutes. I work down the street and visit Savoy regularly, so I consider myself a loyal customer. Unfortunately, this interaction made me feel very uncomfortable and overlooked. Another great lunch spot in Santa Barbara. Everything is fresh and the ingredients are organic, which I really appreciated. I loved the salad bar and how clearly they listed what was organic on the chalkboard above it. Very helpful. I had the broccoli quiche and it tasted fresh and light. The staff were also very friendly. They had a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie that was surprisingly good. Usually gluten-free cookies are dry and disappointing, but this one was not. I saw Savoy on multiple lists of recommended vegan friendly places in Santa Barbara. My question is... why? See photo of the "tofu ranchero" I ordered for breakfast: a store bought tostada, unseasoned beans from a can, and a slab of plain unseasoned tofu that wasn't even warm in the middle. My husband (not vegan) got the eggs Benedict and the protein bowl and was not impressed with either. Things here may be organic as advertised, but nothing was homemade. All just reheated stuff you could buy at a grocery store. Very disappointing. read more

I called in a lunch order for the office and went to pick it up, and even though it was my first time at Savoy Café & Deli, I was so pleasantly surprised. I can already tell I'll be back--next time to dine in, because the whole place has such a great vibe. The menu is fantastic, offering breakfast, lunch, and a great selection of fresh-baked pastries. The space has this casual, relaxed, organic feel--tables, chairs, people eating, drinking, shopping, and being served all in one place. It feels warm, inviting, and very Santa Barbara in the best way. The sandwiches we brought back to the office were phenomenal. I ordered the Gaviota and the Naples to share with a friend. Both were amazing. * The Gaviota is a warm sandwich, and the chicken was absolutely delicious--super flavorful and tender. * The Naples had fresh mozzarella, vibrant greens, and ripe tomato... you could literally taste how fresh everything was. One of the girls in the office ordered the Gibraltar, and that one looked amazing too. I'll definitely be back to try more of their sandwiches. Prices were fair, the service was quick, friendly, and really efficient. I placed my order and about 15 minutes later they were just finishing packing everything up. They made sure I had all the utensils, napkins, and extras I needed--which I always appreciate. Thank you to the team working that day--you were all wonderful. As always, Savoy hits the spot. Tasty and nutritious. I love all the organic ingredients and the wonderful fresh made items to satisfy all dietary desires. Take a look at some of the brunch items. Their pancakes looks so good; I keep getting the vegan rancheros which are really good. Sometimes they can be a little spicy and other times. Mild just depends on the peppers. Big shout out to the new owners Especially Romero who comes around and checks on everyone he's so kind and you can tell he just exude health. It makes you wanna eat here even more. read more

This used to be my go-to breakfast spot -- especially for eggs benedict -- until they changed their portions to only one poached egg per plate. Admittedly, I was a bit unhappy about that. That was maybe ten years ago. I recently decided to try it again and yay, two eggs for the eggs benedict. The hollandaise sauce is tasty and creamy but I miss the tomato hollandaise sauce from before. It also lacks the sharp zip of lemon that Andersen's benedict has. However, eggs were perfectly cooked and it was a good benedict. Bread is still delicious and so are the potatoes. They didn't have the raspberry white chocolate bar that I used to get but the raspberry crumble bar was very good. No complaints. The coffee was good as well. The decor is the same as it has always been. It's a lovely, brightly lit open space to simply enjoy a leisurely meal. Service was great and parking was easy. I'll come here again. read more

The restaurant had a very quaint vibe. At savoy you order at the counter and seat yourself. The menu had a variety of options including some vegan options. :) They did not have a kids menu but they were able to make bacon, eggs, pancakes, or french toast for kids. My husband had the breakfast burrito and gave it a 4 out of 5. I had the power bowl. The ingredients were fresh and it was tasty. I just didn't love it for breakfast. Parker was amazing. Delicious breakfast burritos and good coffee in a comfortable environment. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed a bit of sun with our veggie breakfast burritos, which were large and flavorful. Service was prompt and courteous. Worth noting that the menu on Yelp is outdated - breakfast burritos are now $13.95, not $9.95. I have usually come here for their salad bar and the salad bar is decent with a lot of ingredients to choose from. I have not ordered other dishes until today so maybe they were having an off day today or something but I won't be coming back here for anything but salad after today. We ordered the quiche of the moment which was broccoli cheddar with a side salad and a breakfast burrito with bacon added. And coffee. The quiche was overcooked, dry, and bland. I couldn't even finish it. I wanted to send it back but my wife didn't want me to. She didn't even eat a quarter of it. The side salad was good. The breakfast burrito was just ok. On the bland side again. Definitely nothing exceptional and not something I would order again but at least it was better than the quiche. We got coffee which was very good and black iced tea which was very weak tasting. The service was as always nice and friendly. It's a casual nice ambiance. The prices are also on the more affordable side compared to some other places in town. If you come alone to eat you can sit at the bar or at a long table facing outside so that's nice too. I hope that was helpful to anyone. Based on the high reviews from other reviewers it makes me wonder if we just happened to come here on an off day. read more

We absolutely loved coming here! The menu offers so many great options, and it's really focused on healthy choices. There are plenty of gluten-free options, including a fantastic selection of baked goods. Everything from the bakery section looked amazing! I tried a matcha latte, which was good but not very strong--definitely not ceremonial grade matcha. The food, however, was incredible and so fresh! It was cute, yummy fresh food, and an easy/relaxed vibe. It seems they put balsamic vinegar on every sandwich, so if you're not a fan of vinegar or anything just plan to ask for it to be removed. I did appreciate that they had a few vegan options, but it was limited. read more

I love it here. I'm only sad they're not also open on Sundays when I usually pass through SB on roadtrips. I always get a turkey fritter with a side of blueberry kale salad. Savoy is a great restaurant! It is owned by a local family. All of the food is made of clean and sustainable ingredients. Everyone is super friendly and nice. The food is great! They serve breakfast and lunch and it can get pretty busy. Also, there is a wonderful selection of desserts. The carrot cake is excellent! They have a wine area,salad bar, and deli options as well There is a little parklet so you can either eat inside or outside. It is a nice hangout spot. Parking is super easy because there is a parking lot right across the street. You get 75 minutes free. Otherwise you can park on the street but some spots are only 15 minutes read more

I love Savoy. Long-time customer from before the Cantwell's experiment. Great selection of food & (mostly) helpful staff. I have only one complaint: Too much plastic! They have cardboard boxes for hot food to go, but the to go containers at the salad are plastic. Why? I've been asking for cardboard containers for my salads & they work perfectly well. I sincerely hope the Savoy folks will use up the rest of their plastic containers & switch to ONLY cardboard! Until they do, the number of stars will never reach beyond "3". read more

Love love this spot! My fav place to grab lunch always! They have made to order items + cold bar + pre made salads + veggies + soups + sandwiches + cafe with coffee, etc. The vibe of the place is cute and quaint and it's always so seamless. I typically get a sandwich with a salad on the side. The sandwiches are SUPER good and it is always quick to receive the food! There's no reason to hit the Whole Paycheck Salad Bar in town when Savoy offers a better (albeit smaller) option for a fraction of the price. I piled my plate and didn't even hit $20, the upscale grocery store food bars could never! Savoy is consistently above expectations in regards to food, service, and overall experience. It's never super busy and the perfect space for a patio lunch. The staff will remember you if you show up a few times and have your meal ready and waiting. I haven't strayed far from the fantastic salad bar, but the specials always look delicious and the wine selection is attractive to a minor wine enthusiast like myself. I am from the bay area and always drive down to LA for work every month. I make sure I stop to stay in Santa Barbara on my way there or back every time. Went for a bicycle ride with the wife and decided to stop at Safoy Cafe & Deli, plus had it on my list to try. I was a little worried that it was too foo-foo for me, but I was wrong. When it comes to food I like easy and simple, not a fan of fancy food. They had a lot of of fancy food tho. I ordered a roast beef sandwich on sourdough with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato and cucumbers(foo-foo). When it came I got a turkey sandwich . The waitress said they would make me a new sandwich, but I said I'll eat the turkey. I hate to see food wasted. The turkey sandwich was delicious. All the ingredients tasted so fresh. This is a must stop place every time we come to town. They do the best breakfast. That have something for every diet type and desserts to match.
