    0/10 "tofu ranchero".
    Katina Midori K.

I saw Savoy on multiple lists of recommended vegan friendly places in Santa Barbara. My question is... why? See photo of the "tofu ranchero" I ordered for breakfast: a store bought tostada, unseasoned beans from a can, and a slab of plain unseasoned tofu that wasn't even warm in the middle. My husband (not vegan) got the eggs Benedict and the protein bowl and was not impressed with either. Things here may be organic as advertised, but nothing was homemade. All just reheated stuff you could buy at a grocery store. Very disappointing.

I called in a lunch order for the office and went to pick it up, and even though it was my first time at Savoy Café & Deli, I was so pleasantly surprised. I can already tell I'll be back--next time to dine in, because the whole place has such a great vibe. The menu is fantastic, offering breakfast, lunch, and a great selection of fresh-baked pastries. The space has this casual, relaxed, organic feel--tables, chairs, people eating, drinking, shopping, and being served all in one place. It feels warm, inviting, and very Santa Barbara in the best way. The sandwiches we brought back to the office were phenomenal. I ordered the Gaviota and the Naples to share with a friend. Both were amazing. * The Gaviota is a warm sandwich, and the chicken was absolutely delicious--super flavorful and tender. * The Naples had fresh mozzarella, vibrant greens, and ripe tomato... you could literally taste how fresh everything was. One of the girls in the office ordered the Gibraltar, and that one looked amazing too. I'll definitely be back to try more of their sandwiches. Prices were fair, the service was quick, friendly, and really efficient. I placed my order and about 15 minutes later they were just finishing packing everything up. They made sure I had all the utensils, napkins, and extras I needed--which I always appreciate. Thank you to the team working that day--you were all wonderful. I'm excited to come back and sit down to enjoy the full Savoy experience!

As always, Savoy hits the spot. Tasty and nutritious. I love all the organic ingredients and the wonderful fresh made items to satisfy all dietary desires. Take a look at some of the brunch items. Their pancakes looks so good; I keep getting the vegan rancheros which are really good. Sometimes they can be a little spicy and other times. Mild just depends on the peppers. Big shout out to the new owners Especially Romero who comes around and checks on everyone he's so kind and you can tell he just exude health. It makes you wanna eat here even more.

The restaurant had a very quaint vibe. At savoy you order at the counter and seat yourself. The menu had a variety of options including some vegan options. :) They did not have a kids menu but they were able to make bacon, eggs, pancakes, or french toast for kids. My husband had the breakfast burrito and gave it a 4 out of 5. I had the power bowl. The ingredients were fresh and it was tasty. I just didn't love it for breakfast. Parker was amazing. He was very friendly and cared about the guest experience.

Great lunch spot. Order at the counter and they bring food to the table. Reasonably priced. Cubano sandwich, quiche Lorraine, all day breakfast burrito and chicken were all well prepared and tasty. Busy on a Thursday at lunch time. Bonus for public parking across the street, free for the first 75 minutes.

Fantastic deli! Robust menu with amazing fresh choices ranging from salads, quiches and pastries to sandwiches and entree's. Featured some unique items not seen elsewhere including the scrumptious turkey fritter and incredible coconut butter cake pared with a lavender latte. Love the open, inviting brightly lit ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was very fast and efficient.

Delicious breakfast burritos and good coffee in a comfortable environment. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed a bit of sun with our veggie breakfast burritos, which were large and flavorful. Service was prompt and courteous. Worth noting that the menu on Yelp is outdated - breakfast burritos are now $13.95, not $9.95. Still delicious though - we also enjoyed a valentines cookie.

At least 4 vegan options are available on the menu. The portions were good, and the food was tasty. We ordered breakfast: scrambled tofu with green and another one with fruits. It was delicious and came with 4 toasts.

We absolutely loved coming here! The menu offers so many great options, and it's really focused on healthy choices. There are plenty of gluten-free options, including a fantastic selection of baked goods. Everything from the bakery section looked amazing! I tried a matcha latte, which was good but not very strong--definitely not ceremonial grade matcha. The food, however, was incredible and so fresh! The eggs Benedict were delicious, and the potatoes were perfectly cooked. But my mom's huevos rancheros was definitely my favorite--so tasty! Can't wait to return!

The last I came was pre-Covid and I remember it being good. This time I came during my lunch and ordered a plate to go, and omg. Wow! I got the chicken enchilada, a yummy salad and pesto pasta. The food is warm, filling and tasty. The staff were super friendly and patient with me, as it was my first time ordering in a while.

I've been coming here for years, and I love this place. It's a really nice ambience with tables inside and outside--and dog friendly! The service is always good. My favorite thing to get is the regular breakfast burrito.

Savoy is a great restaurant! It is owned by a local family. All of the food is made of clean and sustainable ingredients. Everyone is super friendly and nice. The food is great! They serve breakfast and lunch and it can get pretty busy. Also, there is a wonderful selection of desserts. The carrot cake is excellent! They have a wine area, salad bar, and deli options as well There is a little parklet so you can either eat inside or outside. It is a nice hangout spot. Parking is super easy because there is a parking lot right across the street. You get 75 minutes free. Otherwise you can park on the street but some spots are only 15 minutes

When the server did arrive she was nice and got everything right. What? Not very birthday lunch vibes. My cappuccino was very good though and did arrive in a ceramic cup with saucer. Thank goodness that wasn't in a to go cup! Note that this is a review specifically for a private event (wedding lunch reception)…read more My wife and I recently got married at the Santa Barbara Courthouse and were looking for a restaurant to host a lunch reception and State & Fig absolutely delivered. A 5/5 experience and we would certainly work with them again. We were in contact with Serina for about a year before the wedding and she was very accommodating, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire process. We initially met with her to discuss our vision, had a food and cake tasting, and also a final walk through with our coordinator to ensure everything was smooth. In terms of food, atmosphere, and service, I would want to go through all three in detail: 1) Food: We had a lunch style buffet and the food options were fresh and many of our guests gave very positive feedback and took shameless second trips. Serina and the owner (Patrick) were able to source many of the ingredients seasonally and cater to our guests' palate (Asian-inspired, etc.). We had a tasting and they took our feedback into consideration in earnest. Moreover, our strawberry cake was AMAZING. 2) Atmosphere: The restaurant had a great layout for our party size (~90 or so) with seating inside, outside, and upstairs. This arrangement allowed us to have an intimate reception despite having a lot of guests. The decor in the restaurant is minimal, which allows customization to make the space truly our own. State & Fig allowed us to borrow a few decorations, which was generous. 3) Service: The two points before were already excellent, but State & Fig's outstanding service took the lunch reception to another level. Serina was a joy to work with in terms of bringing our vision to life and was always there to make things easy for us. Patrick ensured that this was a special day for us, and encouraged us to soak it in and enjoy it as much as we can. And the wait staff and servers on the day of were professional and attentive. For that, we are immensely grateful. There were other restaurants that we toured before selecting S&F, and it was clear that hosting the reception would simply be a transactional business affair. This felt like a genuine desire to make our special day a memorable experience. Overall, a 5/5 experience and we hope that others will be able to have State & Fig host their special day. P.S. A funny aside: we met a couple sitting next to us during our tasting, who were returning to celebrate their anniversary after getting married at S&F. They told us we were in good hands and not to worry, and we AGREE.
