I'm giving it two stars for the nostalgia factor. I admit, we made the trek here as it was supposedly the cafe where they filmed a-ha's "Take On Me" video. The outside is very cute. Granted, a lot of things have changed in the 30+ years since that video, but . . . .
It was mid-afternoon when we arrived and there were only about four other patrons there. The seats are moulded plastic attached to the tables like what you would find in a fast food chain. That's okay, as I wasn't expecting anything fancy. Once inside, I personally didn't want to order anything as quite frankly, it didn't smell good, and I couldn't quite place my finger on what it was. However, we had been traveling and my husband was hungry so we decided to get a quick bite and each ordered a sandwich and soda. The sandwiches were okay, nothing to write home about but the lady that took our order seemed irritated and cranky.
We quickly ate and left and once we got across the street, I decided to take a picture of the outside for remembrance. As we were the last customers, the woman waiting on us had gone outside to sit and gave us a dirty look for taking a picture. read more
