I attended my first cycle bar in San Jose to rekindle this relationship and from the moment I walked in to when I walked out, you feel SO cared for!! My first day I got a complimentary shoe rental and my name was on the locker rooms and check in and everything was seamless. Anaya helped me from the moment I walked in until I sat on my bike. She is the sweetest! I couldn't get my shoes off the bike but they had said they would help me and such lol. I knew I shouldn't push myself from my first experience so I paced myself and although it seemed everyone around me were pros lol I just loved the energy of the trainer and people. I was focus in the zone to do my best and read my body. This is a great workout esp if you love the environment of good music and company. It just felt right and yes I would totally go back!! Thank you to the staff from your first impression it set the bar and how you truly care for each person and not only that first timers! GOLD!!

I would call to ask for an extension and be told "oh the manager can only do that, she'll call you back." First, that was never an issue in the past, anyone could have given me an extension if I asked. And then of course I haven't heard back from the manager at all. I appreciated the flexibility before and the classes are super fun. It's a huge bummer that flexibility is now gone. There's a lot of other nit picky things about the cyclebar policies that are obvious cash grabs (fees for no-show, fees for cancelations within 24 hrs, and now letting our classes expire). Some of that can be understandable, others are frustrating because what happens if I don't hear back from the manager? Just going to have to be out of some extra money because of an apparent lack of flexibility. But I guess my only solution is to not come back unfortunately. Edit: I had called multiple times and didn't hear back until after making this review

I am one of the Los Gatos Spenga's founding members. I've been going here over four years and…read morerecently celebrated my 500th session. This means that this review is about three and a half years late. I first joined Spenga from a gym that did a lot of HIT workouts. The workouts were decent, but there was never time given to cool down and stretching. I heard about the new Spenga opening up in LG and was immediately interested due to the yoga. Spenga is a whole body work out-- spin/strength/yoga (20 minutes of each in an hour long session). If you have never done the Spenga work out-- it is HARD. Every single time. Because as you get stronger and stronger, your "sweet spot" (power output on the bike) gets higher and you are encouraged to lift heavier weights and do stronger yoga poses. The combination of spin/strength/yoga goes by quickly, especially as there's so much you have to pay attention to. But the reason I have stayed so long at Spenga is the instructors and the community. Some instructors (Marina) have been there from the start. She recently celebrated her 2000 session. Chloie-- also an OG-- celebrated her 1500 session. Having the same instructors mean they get to know you personally (which is a double-edge sword-- they will push you to work harder!!) One of the co-owners, Dan, is a regular-- he is often at the front desk or taking a class with us. The instructors and the front desk team make you feel welcomed. You are greeted by name (unlike other studios I've attended where they work hard to ignore you), and the instructors even ask you to introduce yourself to your neighbor in the work out. As I take classes at the same time every day, I get to know the other people in the class. We cheer each other on, especially during the tough workouts. There are lots of celebration moments-- check out Spengalg's instagram accounts to see pics of the clients hitting major milestones, working on their birthday, etc. Spenga attracts all kinds of people. It's a workout that has something for everyone. Whether you are looking to get back in shape, get into a shape you have never been, or wanting variety from your current routine, I'd recommend giving Spenga a visit!

The staff are friendly and welcoming, from the front desk managers to each and every instructor. Each instructor has a different vibe -- and they're all great. From time to time, the studio runs different fitness challenges, which helps foster the community atmosphere. Atmosphere: The studio is set up into three different sections - one for spin, one for strength, and the other for yoga. The facilities are modern and very clean. It's nice! Classes: The signature Spenga workout is 60 minutes - 20 minutes of spin, 20 minutes of strength, and 20 minutes of yoga. The Spin classes ramp up in intensity based on your own performance over time through increasing your "sweet spot." This is nice because you can see how much you improve over time. After a SPENGA class, I feel like I've had a great workout and love that it ends in yoga. The mix of all three parts works so well for me. I'd gotten out of the habit of working out -life got busy. And SPENGA has been great for me to get back into the swing of things. I've gotten good results in terms of fat loss and physical performance. I can't wait to see what the next six months has in store. I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try if you are looking for a new fitness activity in Los Gatos.

I love love love the early morning weekday classes (periodically weekends), because they get my butt up in the morning, I start my day off right, and I feel great the rest of the week. (Special shoutouts to Marcia, Laura, Jordan, and Hafiza for their attention to detail, explanations, and extra help) The studio is clean, and the energy at those morning classes is such a great way to center my mind and body in preparation for the rest of the day. The workouts are really what you make it - challenge yourself if you want to really feel the burn. My favorite class? Bar method strength. It burns so good! (My inner thighs are still on fire from yesterday morning's class - getting stronger!) Second favorite is bar method express + restore. I love stretching after a challenging workout. If you're looking for a great space, teachers, and community, this is it.

I'd heard of Lagree but never really knew what it was, and didn't even know this was Lagree going into it, but it's basically a more intense form of pilates that uses a megaformer vs the traditional one. I'm glad I had a base of already working out and trying two other similar classes before coming here, so it was a little less intimidating. I think a beginner could definitely get the hang of this, but having a good foundation felt necessary to get the full benefits of the class and workout. And of course instructor direction and examples were a big factor in succeeding in the classes as a newcomer. I've had a handful of different instructors and have definitely found the one that is more my style and more motivating to me (shout out Ankitha), but I've generally liked all of the instructors enough to go back to their classes. Finding an instructor that works for you makes all the difference though when you're powering through a touch class, which these often are. I originally signed up for their first timers offer of 4 classes for $99. Other than that, without a membership classes run at $38 per, but they have a ton of different packages and memberships that could make classes range from $11 (if you went every single day) to $30 with a larger upfront cost. I ended up getting a class pack so that I wasn't limited or expected to attend a certain number of classes a month and have really liked the flexability. They have tons of classes throughout the day and week, so finding an opening isn't too hard.

I had already taken a variety of other Lagree classes before but I definitely needed a refresher on how to use the reformer. Olivia was thorough and listened to the needs of others who needed accommodations/modifications. She was also super motivated and challenged our class with her workout set. I came out the studio with my whole body quivering! The studio is very bright and allows for so much sunlight which I love. However, there seemed to be a little bit of a light funk of body odor that lingers throughout the place. I hope they find a way to circulate fresh air around the studio to make it a better visit next time!

The music was good, the equipment was clean, and the whole place had a cool vibe. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it felt a little crowded, and the class moved pretty fast if you're still learning how everything works. I've done a ton of workout classes similar to this and I think it'd be tough for anyone wanting to start working out if they don't already do some level of activity. It's definitely more expensive than a regular gym, so I probably wouldn't go every day, but it's fun to mix in every now and then when you want to push yourself. Definitely solid!

The studio was also very appealing to the eye. Inside is clean, bathrooms were stocked with all the necessary items after a class, and the workout room itself was dark with red LED hues which made the class even better. Cade was the instructor that taught the class and he came in bringing all the right energy! His playlist was more of a bonus as it fit so well with the tempo of the class. Cade was able to introduce himself and allow all members to adjust/familiarize themselves with the equipment before starting the session. In addition, he recognized the new comers to the class which I thought was a nice touch towards the end which was definitely more encouraging and enticing to come back again. The class itself was super fast pace where you are alternating from the treadmill to the free weights section. Overall, if you are looking for something with high intensity workouts, this is the spot for you!

With the many health benefits of infrared saunas, the concept of combining them with fitness classes seemed like the perfect fit for me. UNIQUE STUDIO HOTWORX is a one-of-a-kind gym with multiple infrared saunas running virtual classes 24/7. A virtual instructor leads a variety of workouts, including barre, Pilates, yoga, stretching, cycling, rowing, and more. Each sauna can fit up to three people, but I've often had the sauna all to myself. The studio also has a small weightlifting area and a shower for those who need to get ready after their workout. Everything is well-maintained, clean, and inviting. AFFORDABLE MEMBERSHIP Because there are no live instructors, the membership cost is very reasonable - especially if you get someone else to join you. Just know that your first month will be the most expensive since you'll pay an enrollment fee and have to buy their sauna-specific equipment (like a yoga mat and towel). LOVE IT I've been a member for over two months now, and I'm hooked! The 24/7 class schedule makes it so easy to fit in a workout no matter how hectic my day gets. Plus, the staff is super friendly and the whole vibe of the place is just perfect. TLDR If you're curious about HOTWORX, your first class is free, so give it a try and see for yourself! It's a unique and affordable gym that offers infrared sauna workouts with a wide range of virtual classes, perfect for busy schedules. Highly recommended for anyone looking to combine fitness with the benefits of infrared heat.
