I bought a groupon for 3 mani/pedis here. The groupon states you must make an appointment and let them know you have a groupon. The first time I got in no problem. The credit card minimum is $10 so I added shellac. I thought it would be $15 extra, but they charged me 23. That seems like a lot if you look at their pricing online, but I didn't question it and paid for that in addition to a tip for how much the services would have cost without the groupon. I was pleased with my experience overall, but it has been impossible for me to schedule another appointment. I only have until April 30th to use the groupon. The past 3 times I've called to make an appointment they ask me if I have a coupon (before I even get a chance to say that I have a groupon) and when I say yes, they say that they are too busy. After I use my groupons I doubt I'll go back. read more

Great place! I had an especially great manicure; they even did paraffin. The polish selection is mostly OPI and China Glaze, and there's a fairly decent range of colors. Very nice staff. They don't have driers, so be prepared to spend a bit more time when you're done. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I made an appointment to have my nails done for my wedding. I had a party of 4: my (now) step daughter, a good friend and her daughter. We all needed our Manis and Pedis for the wedding. We booked the appointment in hopes to have a special day just the four of us for a very special occasion. We were looking for a fun and relaxing experience. The ladies who did our nails were beyond rude! I don't know if I can fully explain how rude in this review. It was beyond anything I've seen in customer service in general, not to mention a place you go to for relaxation. For starters, they wouldn't allow the adults to sit together during our pedicures. There was absolutely no reason for this. The adults obviously wanted to chat and enjoy our time together as well. The young girls wanted rhinestones on their polish and they refused to put them on. In additional to the absolutely horrible experience, the quality was poor as well. I would probably give 2 stars at the most. I asked for a French manicure with a gold strip between the nail bed and white tip. The gold strip was very sparse; on more than one nail it did not go across the complete nail. The white tips were not well done either. I would not recommend this nail salon at all. Very disappointed. read more

Went here for the first time to get my acrylics filled and I am so glad I did! I was starting to believe that acrylics just always look fake and thick, but after coming here I realize that this is not true! She took her time making sure each nail was perfect, cleaned out the excess acrylic under the nail so it doesn't look thick, and then painted them to perfection. Not to mention prices are great. On a recent trip to Seattle, I discovered Savvy Nails. Tucked away in a small storefront between Greenlake and the University District, it can easily be missed. I am glad, however, that I found it. For an affordable price, I got a great manicure by a technician that took her time, even though the salon was very busy, with people waiting. I LOVE Savvy Nails! It is my go to place for gel manicures and regular pedicures. First, the service is very friendly. It's a popular spot, so do call ahead to make an appointment. If you don't book an appointment, plan to wait. Second, they're super efficient, but they don't skimp on quality. My cuticles are always nicely trimmed, they listen to my requests for shape and length and it ends with a delightful paraffin treatment and massage. Finally, the prices are incredibly reasonable. What a great place! Used a groupon for them and was waited on hand and foot. they were efficient yet paid attention to detail. Its clean, does not smell. They take great measure to keep it sanitized down to the tub liners. My favorite part was the hot stone massage on my legs and shoulder rub. They are really sweet ladies and did a wonderful job. I went to Savvy nails to get a pedi and mani, and was so impressed with their service and quality. They went above and beyond. They offered water or tea when I came in, asked if I wanted magazines to read, then for the regular manicure they gave me a arm and back massage, & used hand wax for the manicure. For the pedicure, they also gave me a hot stone massage and didn't even charge extra. They have competitive rates, and treat their clients with such respect and thoughtfulness. I would highly recommend them. Parking was a little tough, but there's usually street parking across the street. I will definitely come back! read more

I called and made a appointment for an hour later. I was greeted immediately. Everyone there was very friendly. Even though they were very busy I was seated efficiently in my pedicure chair and had a few minutes to relax before she started. It was fast enough to be relaxing but I wasn't there all day as I have a 3 month old at home. Overall I loved my experience and will be going back. You can beat a 25$ pedicure with hot stones. read more

I've never written a Yelp review before, and I always try and resolve any issues I have with the business manager rather than post a complaint. The nail salon I usually go to was closed, so I decided to try Savvy Nails since it was close by and I could walk in without an appointment. I had gel polish on my nails that needed to be removed first, which I told the girl doing my manicure. She smiled and said yes, but then proceeded to try and rub the gel polish off with acetone. Which if you've ever had a gel polish manicure before you know that it has to be wrapped and soaked first to remove. After her struggling and me trying to explain that it was gel polish, she finally figured it out. I then asked for french tips, and specifically asked that the nails be squared off. Again the girl smiled and nodded yes that she understood, then proceeded to file all the nails rounded. As she was doing this I kept trying to explain that I didn't want the nails rounded. Finally another girl came over who seemed to understand English a bit better. She apologized and said they could trim the nails and do it over, but if they did that my nails wouldn't extend beyond my fingertips. So I just asked them to finish what they were doing. No offer of a discount for the mistake. They asked me to come back again, but I don't think so. Here's my problem, if you run a customer service business I think at a minimum you need to be able to communicate with your customers. Just smiling and nodding yes to whatever the customer says regardless of whether you understand is not communicating. Bottom line is that I will be sure to go back to the place I usually go, and maybe someone will read this review and translate it for the girls working at Savvy Nails so that they understand why I was upset. read more

This is a really nice nail salon. I used a groupon for $40 mani/pedi service, but I am happy that I can use the coupon in their website again if I want to go back. The parafin service for hands and spa pedicure with hot-stone massage were very relaxing and fantastic. This is a minor point but I usually dont like crappy music or loud TV in most nail salons but this place has a nice relaxing music as well so I could even fall asleep when they massged my hand and feet. The best service ever!! I know that $40 for pedi/mani is a bit pricy but why not for better service and super relaxing atmosphere? Also, I really liked that they were not talking loudly to each other in their language (it's ok but sometimes it is a bit annoying when manicurists talk to each other and laugh loudly, since I dont understand Vietnamese), and they didn't ask me with many personal questions. friendly staff, good selection of colors, "feel good" arm, hand, foot and leg massages, no tv's which i thought was good, dim lighting, smooth music, very calm atmosphere and the best part, SUCH attention to detail.. haven't been in a nail spa since I used to go to a friend that owned one and I knew she was meticulous because she was my friend, but these ladies are perfectionists :))) good thing i bought a groupon for THREE visits :) can't wait to go back! it was the best one hour after a long day's work! read more
