I scheduled my mani and pedi with Nhi and she was great. Detail oriented and helpful when choosing color since I was going to a formal event, I needed something not neon lol. The whole experience from booking online, getting there and finding street parking at 10am on a Tuesday, the space was chic looking and had plenty of spots for a mani or pedi. Their colors are accessed through a QR code! Was kind of difficult to see if I'd like the color on me since I prefer the swatches on something physical. Nhi was able to help and got the color I was aiming for. From the manicure to the pedicure everything was done well and Nhi was thorough and very friendly which is always nice when you're doing this kind of work. I already have my next visit scheduled so I can change the color of my toes to a more appropriate summer color and remove the gel from the nails on my hands and get basic polish as I work with my hands. They also offer free tea or sparkling water. They do have a specialty drink menu, reasonably priced, and super yummy as I got a Black Sesame foam matcha! Uri and Anna did a thorough job and didn't rush through any work or try to upsell me to another package which more often than not, happens all the time. I didn't know I had to book a separate add-on for design but I'm happy with how my nails turned out! We booked a pedicure and manicure for me, and a pedicure for my daughter. When we arrived, there was a bit of confusion--at first, the lady said I didn't have a manicure booked, then said I did, but only to fix two nails. In the end, they did the full service, so I was a little confused about what was actually scheduled. The salon itself is beautiful, and it instantly reminded me of my favorite place in London. The atmosphere is lovely and chill. However, the lady who did my nails was a bit rough--I left with a couple of bleeding fingers, and the whole service felt rushed, probably because they were fully booked. Despite that, they do great work, and I'll definitely go back. Just be prepared for a parking headache--give yourself at least 30 minutes to find a spot. My favorite nail salon opened a second location in Fremont on Stone Way just down the street from Paper Cake and Doce. Beautiful new space love all the work they put into the space. Attended the opening last Saturday and had my official first appointment this past Tuesday. Kaylee is my regular technician and was working out of the Fremont space Tuesday. The last time I was there they had redo some nail art for me because we had a communication issue and my initial requested color came out a little off. In that session, I felt the nail artist did not want to be there. She was cold and seemed annoyed, being stern with me when I touched my phone to decline a call (which I understand why that can mess with your nails!) but the way she talked to me was not nice. She also drilled into my nail beds which gave me some pain and put dents in my nails (MULTIPLE NAILS). I didnt notice until I got home unfortunately. I've had my manicure done here by one tech and some nails chipped within one day. Contacted them and they were kind enough to rectify the situation in which I really appreciated. Usually Urban is great to work with but I left really disappointed today. I came in asking for my nails to look like the attached picture but they turned out not looking the same. I was fine with the blue that they picked because I assumed adding the chrome on top would make it look more like the photo. Once the sparkle was added to make it chrome, I noticed it just looked like a shiny robin's egg blue rather than a chrome. I brought up several times that it did not look like the photo only to be told that there was nothing more than they could do and that they thought the photo looked the same as my nails. I was a little disappointed to be told I was wrong so many times, especially when I was trying to disagree as kindly as possible. When I went to check out, they asked how my appointment was. I told them that it didn't turn out how I was hoping. She told me that next time, I needed to request a shimmer color to go along with the chrome in order to make it more shiny. She said it to me like I should have known better but I told her that I was unaware that it was even an option. I was told that they would be able to do the design and that it would cost an extra $18 since it would be a tier 1 design, which I agreed to (honestly kind of seemed like a lot given they're only adding a sparkly powder on top though). Then she said well you would have probably been charged more to add a shimmer nail color since it would be a tier 2 design, and you said yes to a tier 1. Again, I said I was just saying yes to what was offered, I didn't know there was even another option. She then apologized and charged me for the nails, the tier 1 design, and the drink I got. I responded surprised to know that the drink cost anything since they asked me if I'd like anything to drink without telling me the cost. Usually beauty places offer something to drink like tea, water, coffee, etc so I didn't expect it to cost anything. She did waive the fee of the drink because of my surprise and then said to take the waive as an apology for my nails... I think it would have felt more sincere if she offered it before I responded surprised but oh well. I just felt really defeated and like my opinion wasn't valued. I tried my best to be as kind as possible and I still tipped. Sadly I don't think I will be going back :( read more

The pedicure was a bit abrasive and not relaxing- they used the pumice stone to clean up calluses but didn't do a complete job and instead grated it upward toward my ankles, causing irritation and redness. It seemed like the nail technician didn't care about requests and was in a hurry- likely not her fault, but could be addressed by those in charge of scheduling. Quality of service is consistently decent, usually very good. However, they are always playing most obnoxious music I've ever heard at any salon. I have pretty eclectic taste when it comes to music, but the playlists in rotation there really damper the experience. On top of that, the music so loud I can't even drown it out with noise canceling headphones. I've never had an extension fall off and the gel has lasted close to 3-4 weeks for me. They use quality polishes (opi and gel bottle, my personal favorite) and their techs are quick and accurate.
