They just had a cancellation and said they could take me in 2 hours. I am very picky about my hair as I have baby fine hair that any accidental cut can lead to a bald spot. I have only ever had 2 other hairdressers I have loved. Diane was AMAZING. She was very concerned about not damaging my hair during the bleaching process and was very sweet. As soon as she washed out the bleach I could tell the platinum was going to come out perfect which never happens. She was also amazing with her cutting skills. She had taken a before and after (I know I was really due for a cut) and I was shocked about just how badly it was needed. Highly recommend her and was very impressed in general. I naturally have dark brown hair, and I came in with an inspiration picture asking for an autumn copper-brown reddish color. They were very confident that they could make the color I wanted happen, which made me feel comfortable moving forward with the service. After the first round, she was already getting ready to send me home, but I told her I was not happy with the results because my hair barely looked different from when I came in. It stayed mostly the same dark brown, except for some patchy plum-colored areas. I paid $120 for that first service. After I explained that I was unhappy, she recommended bleaching my hair to get me closer to the lighter copper-brown reddish color I originally asked for. What bothered me was that before starting the bleach, she never told me she would also be doing another client's hair color at the same time. While the bleach was sitting in my hair, there was one point where she was away for about 40 minutes. I was so nervous about the bleach sitting in my hair that I actually started a timer myself because I did not want anything to happen to my hair. She was also leaving at other times in between for around 20 to 30 minutes while working on the other client. I really wish my hair had been monitored more closely throughout the bleaching process, especially because of how light it ended up becoming. Instead of the autumn copper-brown reddish color from my inspiration picture, I ended up with orange and blonde hair. I paid another $230 for the second service, bringing my total to $350. I am extremely disappointed that I spent $350, went through two rounds of color and bleaching on previously virgin hair, and still did not receive anything close to what I originally asked for. If you have naturally dark virgin hair and are looking to go lighter, based on my experience, I would definitely not recommend this place.

After two other beauticians, my hair coming out, my face burnt and a crazy looking style, I started wearing wigs again! 6 months ago I was referred to Toshia, and I have never been happier - my hair IS BEAUTIFUL! Toshia knows how to grow, protect, color and style hair. She advises me on how to maintain my hair between appts. A scheduling conflict came up so I called the salon on Thursday and had a nice conversation with a worker (owner? bad on me for not getting the name) and we were able to reschedule to Monday the 10th at 3:15pm. My daughter was SO excited! We arrived at the salon a little before 3:15pm, and no one was there, shop was closed and locked. After 10 minutes, I called the same number I had used on Thursday (shop number) and left a message. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes, I called one more time and no one came. My daughter was absolutely devastated as she had been waiting to get braids for a while. No return phone call or follow up from this shop. I can understand if it was just human error and they had forgotten to write down or reschedule the appointment...but ignoring multiple calls without following up to apologize or clarify what had happened was disappointing and unprofessional. Unfortunately can not recommend.

I looked in the mirror very closely at these pieces and it was some kind of pattern (not 3 strands, almost impossible to take out without damaging and some of the hairs i could only untangle by gently pulling them up through this knot she created which is exactly why i know of was it was intentional.) i don't know if this is her method but i have never noticed it this bad before and it caused me to lose even more hair in these sensitive areas that i just expressed the sensitivity of these areas to her at my appointment in May 2025. She shows absolutely no care. Probably bitter because she couldn't manipulate me into paying her 400 dollars for her BS inconsistent work. I have 2 of the strands with knots in them and i plan on having someone else look at them closely because it truly looks like she knotted up my hair on purpose and I may see what I can do financially about this. I am sure there are other great braiders here, but Victoria has been off putting multiple times, and has shown me little to no care when it comes to my hair or hair care. I've never struggled to take my braids out like this, she did something different, something intentional that completely damaged the most sensitive area of my hair. My hair used to thrive after braids. My original review: I ask for the same thing every time I go and am met with confusing uncomfortable conversations surrounding price. For years the prices on the website were either inaccurate or not honored by this particular braider but I never argued. I was ignored when I reached out to the phone number provided, with questions regarding this. In 2025, I had an appointment in May and an appointment in December. I asked for the same braid service and braid size. My braids in May were great, the braids I got last month (Dec 2025), not so much. Barely lasted two weeks and I have type 4 hair. A braid fell out, 2 weeks in. She gave me bigger braids and parts. I don't expect perfect consistency but at the same time, the price is largely based on size.

The guy showed me how much to take off and I agreed, but he took off more, seemed like he was trying to make it even but couldn't. I just gave up and wanted the cut to be over, and figured I'll go somewhere else to have it fixed later. What I'm basing this rating on is the fact that he showed me a number on the calculator when I asked how much, and I said "OK", then he charged me $10 more. When I asked why? He just handed me $10 in cash. WHAT? I mean, there might be a language barrier for the haircut - maybe he thought I wanted my hair to be in all different lengths for some reason I can't fathom, but punching different numbers into a calculator vs the credit card machine just isn't about communication. Then he called out to a woman and she came and said "tip?" and I said ok, then she said "$10". Um, no, that's not how tips work. You don't charge someone more than agreed, then when you're caught, pretend that it was for a $10 tip that you didn't agree to. The thing is, I normally tip more, and usually in cash, but the whole interaction took me so much by surprise that I just left. The only thing positive I can say is that there were 2 men who came in while I was getting my hair cut, both got short buzz cuts, and they are definitely quick. So maybe if you're looking for something like that and you have exact change to pay exactly what you want to including tip, this could be a good place. Next cut, I won't just duck in someplace to get a quick trim.
