I went over to Sawmill Autowash today to wash my truck. There was no closed sign or indication that the self wash wands were not working so I scanned my credit card. Then I found out that the wands were not working. I tried to call the phone number on the wall and the number on Yelp and got no answer or that the voicemail box is full and you can't leave a message. They automatically charge your card a $10.00 fee so I guess I'll have to just dispute the charge. Very disappointing. read more

More salt and winter weather, more car washes! We decided to try out the touchless wash here while out and about. Unfortunately, it was not as effective as other touchless washes we have been to. It did a solid job getting the worst of the winter gunk off, but it still left more road film than other touchless washes. Also the drain was clogged, leaving you to drive through standing water with your freshly cleaned car, sort of defeating the purpose of the visit. read more

Touch screen doesn't work (4-18). Auto wash has been down for last three weeks. Doesn't accept cash. I can't figure out how they are still in business. Final rinse leaves white spots on car. Brushes left streaks on my car despite being very soft. So soft the dirt doesn't come off with the brush. read more

The car wash itself isn't bad, and the pricing is decent. However, there is no way to cancel your membership via the app. You need to call or email. I have yet to receive a response on canceling my membership. read more

Underwhelmed. I've wondered if a touch less car wash would actually do the trick...and it doesn't. I had to pull into another bay to hand dry it afterwards because the automatic wash didn't even dry the windshield completely. Luckily most of the bays were closed and so they we're unoccupied, which gave me some space to dry but my car was still covered in bugs so I ended up just going home. read more

I don't know why I never left a review but here it goes. This car wash is right down the street from my home so it's very accessible for those who live in the community. I can say that it's just ok. I personally like Moo Moo because the vacuums are still free and the suction power is better. The cheapest car wash ran by automatic soft brushes is about $5 which cleans the underbody of your car, regular suds, rinse twice and air dry for a minute. They also have two of those ports. Then if you want to wash your own car by hand with the "magic wand" as I call it, there's three ports for that. I think it cost about $1.50 to $2 to wash your car or truck in there. There are two vacuum stations and the cost is around a buck 75. Overall, it gets the job done and leaves your car spotless but your gonna pay a little extra than some competitors across the street that are offering freebies read more

I am from Dublin, OH not John's Island, SC so this review is for the local Sawmill Autowash. Would give zero stars if possible. The mechanical maintenance of this carwash is abysmal. Rarely, are both automatic bays working which results in long lines at the working bay. Currently both automatic bays have not been working for 2 weeks. I have tried to contact by email and phone to get a refund for my monthly wash subscription since I cannot get a carwash but have not received any return call or email. I eventually disputed the charge with Amex and promptly was refunded the payment. I had to put a merchant block on Sawmill Auto Wash so recurring billing would not continue. They are very good at taking your monthly payment but very bad at providing the promised service. Kind of reminds me of a Seinfeld episode. Avoid this business and save yourself a lot of headaches. read more

Tried this a few times so far. The self-serve bays are very well kept and work as they should. The automatic washes are lacking. They seem to wash okay, but don't dry well at all. That makes the whole effort of the wash not really worth it. At least not for the prices paid. They seem to advertise a nice wash program so maybe a 'regular' who uses it for perpetual touchups has better luck! read more

Going downhill... I have been using the self service bays to wash my cars for almost 20 years. Other than occasional issue, I was always happy with the price and the results. That has changed the last couple of times I've tried to use the self service bays. A couple of weeks ago, I lost 3 quarters in a machine. Tonight, half of the bays were closed and the open ones weren't accepting quarters. Also, they have replaced the Spot Free Rinse with some big hair dryer contraption that is significantly less effective. Hopefully they will right the ship soon. read more

I like the fact that this is a touch less carwash. I would give 5 stars but what prevents that rating is that the dryer time is too short. I always leave with part of my vehicle wet. Change that and it would be 5 stars for sure. read more

I love washing my car here. I always wash it myself and never do the drive through so I can't speak for the drive through portion.

Very nice to have around. I like to wash my own car, and before going here, would be doing it at home, which was very time consuming (45 min to an hour). Once I started going here, it takes me less than 10 minutes! Price isn't bad either. You'll look at paying $3 - $7, depending on how quickly you move. read more
