Anytime it's a nice day out, this place is going to be slammed. Why? Because they have prime real estate on the water, and a great view. We found parking pretty easily, then headed to the back to try and grab a seat at the bar. We lucked out and they had one seat, so I took the seat and my husband stood. I ordered a beer, and so did my husband. Staff was quick to grab our order. The view was great. They even had screens that they pulled down at the bar, so the sun wasn't hitting us too badly (it gets SUPER HOT, so it's a great feature). We saw they had a happy hour menu, with deals on some of their apps. We ordered the fish bites. I've had fish bites other places before and had an idea in my head of what I thought these would be. These weren't what I thought. They were cut into triangles. Now the presentation wasn't great, when they first brought them out I thought they were chicken nuggets. When I had one, it was good. It was pretty simple (salt/pepper, didn't look like any breding) and a roumalade sauce that was a bit spicier than I anticipated. I will say that in regards to food and beverage, you're paying for the view. The beer was pretty pricey, so just beware. I got to see some birds and the view from the water was nice.

It's still a little pricey -- our bill for five people was around $400 with tip -- but overall it was a much better experience. Waiter was just ok , we had to remind him a few times of items and slow to take dirty plates away. At on time we had a pile going. If you're looking for a fun place to relax and enjoy the waterfront atmosphere, this is a great spot.

I avoid them whenever I can Until they straighten out operational mgmt.

We have been meaning to get into kayaking for a few years now but finally bit the bullet on a new…read moretandem kayak. How lucky we are to have a kayak launch this close to our house. Nocatee Kayak Launch is located directly across the intracoastal from Palm Valley Outdoors. There is plenty of room for parking and a launch that is accessible in all tides. This kayak Launch is open to everyone. There were a few people posted up around the launch area fishing. Everyone was very friendly. The launch itself is technically in a no wake zone although some boats don't adhere to this so make sure you brace yourself for the occasional big wake. On our trip we saw many birds and turtles. Others we know have seen dolphins in the area. You will see lots of houses on the water (especially if you go north) but there are still plenty of interesting side channels and wildlife if you stick to the edge of the water. If you are in the area and want to get on the water this is the place for you!
