This was the Best Hot Dog in Town, actually for miles around. Remember when Mrs Link ran it on Trinity when I was a small child, Oh- those pies were wonderful. Passed on to Larry, it remained the best around, then William carried on the Family Tradition! ( Although without the Pies). Seems the Recipe has changed? Last couple of times there, haven't seen William! Also, the Hot dogs have changed somewhat. Although they are still better than any alternatives around. Not saying you shouldn't try, guess just remember them when I actually drove 425 miles and made it there for Hot Dogs before going home! read more

Had a fantastic experience at Saxon's Hot Dogs today. We drove from Augusta, Georgia to try your hot dogs. I wish you could have seen our faces. After the first bite both my father and I lit up. This is different! THIS IS FANTASTIC! I don't know what you do to the chili on the dogs but it was delicious! We highly recommend stopping here. We regret that we have driven by without stopping for over 20 years. We won't make that mistake again. read more

I have passed by this place for several years. Today I decided to stop. Typically around lunch the parking lot is full. I stopped around 5:00. I now know why the parking lot is full. I enjoyed two of the best hot dogs that I have ever had today. They make their own chili every morning. I was told typically around 400 hotdogs are sold every day that they are open. On Saturday that number goes to 500. Not hard to believe once you sit down inside this wonderful place and enjoy these hotdogs that are absolutely delicious. While you are eating you will probably be entertained by the ladies that are working inside. They are extremely nice there is no such thing as a stranger. I explain to them that I have been wanting to eat here for years. I told him just to make my hotdogs to go since it was so close to closing. They insisted no, you are going to sit down and enjoy these hotdogs. You better believe I will be going back for the hotdogs and the hospitality. This was an incredible meal provided by a wonderful group of ladies. This business was known as By Pass Groceries previously. read more
