I've been here 5 times now. Four for laser hair removal appointments and once for an IPL facial. I…read moreheard about them through a friend who found them on groupon. Outside it says Walk-in medical clinic and if I didn't know this ahead of time I would have been a little confused. There is a parking lot right next to it which is a big plus for me because so many places in Long Beach have street parking only. The inside is clean, no issues there. The women at the front desk have always been polite to me and I've never had any issues checking in or scheduling my next appointment. There has also never been more than one or two other people at most in the front waiting area, usually there is nobody else. I'm always called back to a treatment room within 5 minutes of checking in. After I undress for the procedure my wait has never been more than 5-10 minutes, only once it had been about 10. I've had 2 different nurses and the doctor do my treatments. They have all been super nice and I don't ever feel uncomfortable at all. They are knowledgeable and can answer questions or give recommendations for other treatments but they don't do a full court press on trying to upsell you like most med spas I have been to. I love this because it makes my appointments more enjoyable. I have previously had some laser hair removal treatments done elsewhere before coming across LBC Laser MD within the past few years. In comparison, all three women who did my treatments here were way more thorough than anywhere else I have been. I always felt other places rushed and skipped spots so you would have to buy more treatments. So my appointments here may be a little longer but I appreciate it because if I'm spending the time and money already and staying out of the sun for months, I want it done right with good results. Overall my experience has been really good and I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

I had originally made a Botox appt and after reviewing my responses I got a call explaining how the Botox would not really make a difference on my wedding day and recommended another option for me. I thought that was great given that I'm VERY new to this facials and Botox stuff. Upon getting there the location is in a good visible spot and easy to park. The front desk girl was very pleasant and the office smelled nice and is very clean (HUGE plus). I was then greeted by Itzel. She was cheerful, knowledgeable, and I liked that she explained everything she was doing. For a first timer like myself who lacked beauty treatment knowledge, I felt Itzel did a great job at explaining step by step what was being done and what it was for. I also did the IV therapy. It was a 10/10! With the hours I work and the lack of sleep and nutrients this was an additional booster I needed. I felt energized and felt like it completed my day!

I've had a couple times where I've had to wait past my appointment time (max 10-15 mins), but I get that things sometimes run behind - I have the same issue at my PCP, dentist, and injection derm. It's just the nature of the healthcare/service industry. Little delays stack up when people have questions or issues. I have seen NP Angel for every appointment except one. Angel is a true professional and she makes me feel completely at ease during my appointments. She's always good about talking though any changes I've made to my skincare routine to make sure it won't interact/interfere with the treatment. As with everything in life, you need to find who/what works for you through trying them out. I tried another NP at SEV when Angel wasn't available, and while she wasn't bad at all, there are just little things that Angel does that appeal to me and improve my overall experience (I have high anxiety about procedures).

If you're asked to come early, just be aware you may still be waiting.

How are they supposed to know how much my charge is when it is my first time to see the doctor? The front office is disorganized; they also have a call center (outside the US) that does not seem to coordinate with the front office. I can be forgiving, but when I got there and they lost my new patient record, it does not leave a good taste as to how they are organizing behind the scene. Dr. Hamidi seems really nice (personally very likable) but when I brought up my experience, she sort of hinted that she does not get involved with the administration, instead of saying, "I'm so sorry that you experienced that and I will be sure to let management know." I'm not sure the office has the level of compassion that patients are looking for. At this point, I'm not sure if I will be returning. Since I live so close to this clinic, I thought it might be a good match, but I'm having second thoughts.

Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I had been hesitant to try Botox for many reasons, but was getting tired of using a phone app to filter away the forehead "expressions" in pictures. I purchased a coupon on Gilt (for the Beverly Hills Dr. A Spa location) and figured why not give it a try. Best mini 40th birthday present to myself! Bridget is one of those people that you feel has never met a stranger in her life - she took the time to put me at ease, answer all my questions and didn't make me feel like a goof for being scared. Bonus, she's just an awesome individual. I've been a HUGE fan of the results and become a Botox devotee. Bridget has always followed up after each appointment, making sure that I was happy with the results, or simply checking to see if there were any issues. She, and the entire staff at Dr. A Spa, are amazing. You can tell they enjoy their work and working with one another, which translates into such a great client experience.

Bridget does a great job explaining how each procedure works and is an expert injector. My botox was completely pain free and I have never bruised from it. I had minimal swelling and bruising after the fillers, which is completely normal and Bridget checked in on me twice afterwards to make sure I was healing normally.
