I've been debating for months on whether to write this review but ultimately I decided I just have to. Dr Nettles as a whole is a nice and well educated guy. His staff is friendly and the facility is nice. But my overall experience with this business was not great. As a first timer of injectables I wasn't sure what to expect or how things should go. In my initial consult I was told that unlike other Drs, Dr Nettles doesn't charge by syringe or units but by results and if after my lips settled I needed a touch up it would be free of charge because he is a perfectionist. This made the hefty price tag a little more acceptable. The consult went great and I was excited to try it out. They give you a bunch of literature so you know what to expect and before and after care so you bruise less and have less pain. The day of my procedure I went in, Dr Nettles came out and applied some numbing cream and I was eventually lead to the exam room for the procedure. It was really lovely, clean and comfortable. I was even given a little bear to squeeze in case of pain and I was very nervous. His bedside manner was great and I felt more at ease but man o man did the injections hurt. After he finished he showed me a chart of where he did the injections and brought me a mirror and iced me up. Things didn't look too different but again, I didn't know what to expect. It was my first time. I did however find it odd that when he showed me my chart he said it was mine so that if I didn't like what he did I could take it to another doctor. I was then lead to a room for the face mask and to relax. The experience overall was nice on my appt day. My lips swelled a lot but they looked great and I was really excited. However, after a couple days of them settling you could see there wasn't much difference Except that my lips were slightly uneven both on top and bottom on opposite sides and there were a couple large lumps inside my lower lip. I reached out to them thru text with an explanation and pictures of what I was seeing and at that time told he looked at the pictures and things looked normal, to let them settle more and that he used a full syringe and they would happily fix them for another $850. WHAT?! Why tell me that he's not like all the other Doctors who charge by syringe but by end result if that isn't how you operate?? I was shocked and so upset. Not only did I just spend almost $1000 for a procedure with false information on how things are charged but the results were not good. I ultimately had another doc look at them and without telling him what I saw wrong, he saw the unevenness and he actually saw the bumps. So I had to pay to have those dissolved and my lips evened out. Such a disappointing experience from people I really felt I trusted. I had already been referring people to his office for other unrelated services. Honestly I would love and appreciate a refund for this experience though I don't see that happening. read more

I had a wonderful overall experience at Dr Nettles. It started with a skin consultation where the assistant used the infrared camera to show me the problem areas of my skin. It was fascinating, and even if it is a bit scary, it is good to know. I now know which areas need more help and the office will also keep these images on file, so that in the future, I can judge my progress. The facialist was also very knowledgeable and did an amazing job doing extractions, hydrating and dermaplaning. She also consulted with me after the facial and had some great advice. I just had my first appointment at Dr. Nettles office for a lactic peel. First and foremost, do not park in the garage connected to the building - they do not validate, and the valet only accepts cash. If your appointment is during the day, there is 2-hour free parking across the street near Bouchon (it's $5 flat rate after 6p.m.). Apparently there was an issue with their new system and the esthetician I was booked with wasn't coming in for our scheduled appointment. Obviously, no where in LA is convenient to get to, so I was understandably annoyed but the receptionist offered to upgrade my service and get me in later in the day (she was super nice and very apologetic). I came back later in the evening and met with the receptionist who did a facial scan that mapped out the sun damage, scarring, wrinkles, etc. on my face. They save your 'map' on file and re-scan your face after your next appointment to track how the services are affecting your skin. Pretty cool, but also horrifying when skin problems are an insecurity. My appointment was with Ariene and lasted about 90 minutes (Smooth Skin Express). She knows her stuff! Gave me a lot of tips on protecting and improving my skin in between sessions. Overall, happy with the service and plan to go back. read more

I'm Sicilian, and aside from fun curly hair, I'm also blessed with hereditary baggies under my eyes. Everyone in my family has them, and it's bugged me since I was a teenager. Multiple consultations with med spas and aesthetic doctors led me to believe the only way to fix this problem was with a nip and tuck under my eye. Boo. So, knowing I could either had some pesky saggyness under my eyes forever or get it "fixed" I started researching California doctors who specialize in this field. When I came across this yelp page, I was very impressed with the photos and blown away that they were surgery free. I scheduled a consultation, and upon letting staff know that surgery had previously been recommended to me, they (nicely) laughed. My eye area was examined and I was assured that that in less than an hour and no down time I could see dramatic, natural looking improvement on what ails me. Fast forward 3 months. It's beautiful. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I went in because I found them on Groupon and I went in for a "brightening facial" I was on the fence about writing a review, because the office girl that does the digital pictures is really nice but the girl who did my treatment was terrible and I'd feel bad not warning people. Part of the facial was a derma-planing treatment where they use a razor blade and take off the top layer/peach fuzz. I've had this done several times. She went over the areas several times which isn't good because it causes razor burn, which it did. She cut me in two places that required cream to stop the bleeding. The most devastating part is that in the very front of my scalp she got to close and shaved hair all around my face, of course she didn't say one word about it to me I noticed when I looked in the mirror and now way more pieces are showing up. It makes me cry everytime I feel it or look in the mirror. For the extractions part instead of using the proper tools she used her finger nails and pinched me everywhere and it hurt like hell! So upscale I know. I left the office with my skin looking horrible with huge red dots everywhere, and my face looking anything but "brightened" Of course she tried to sell me on product, like I'd want my face looking like this on a regular basis it was the worst "facial" I've ever received and I'm angry and devastated that I will be stuck remembering it as the front chunk of my hair slowly grows back. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY!! One other thing I forgot to mention is that she stopped in the middle of all of it TWO different times to chart/ write notes MAYBE? The first one lasted over 10 minutes! Do that stuff once I leave, part of a regular facial (since they obviously don't know how to do it right) is not me laying there with no product on listening to you write god knows what and something that is now totally useless BECAUSE YOU COULDNT PAY ME TO GO BACK! good things take time.... So yes, Dr. Nettles is wonderful and makes you feel comfortable and pays attention to everything while letting you know what's going on... To top it off - his work really is great. I had some Dysport injections and while I was worried in the first two weeks, I am really very very happy. Dr. Nettles also said that if i wasn't, I could come back, free of charge, to point out what I was unhappy with so that he could fix it. His work is so great that going back isn't necessary. I saw Dr. Nettles in 2018 for help with female androgenic alopecia. Dr. Nettles prescribed Dutasteride and recommended I continue to follow a strict diet consisting of at least 100 grams of lean protein per day. Dutasteride is an "off label" treatment for male and sometimes female pattern baldness. It's also a "hormone inhibitor". Shortly after beginning the medication (both in oral and topical form), I began experiencing debilitating, negative side effects including dizziness, severe migraine headaches, and tunnel vision. After performing additional research about these known side-effects, I raised my health concerns with Dr. Nettles. Dr. Nettles disregarded my concerns and immediately became defensive telling me that that he had never heard of my side effects before (despite other patient experiences easily found online). He insisted I continue treatment. I stopped taking Dutasteride for two weeks to test Dr. Nettles theory, that my side effects were unrelated to the Dutasteride treatment and caused by some other unknown factor. Shortly after discontinuing Dutasteride; the migraines, brain fog, disorientation, and dizziness went away. I then resumed taking Dutasteride a few weeks later and immediately began experiencing the same side-effects. This time, Dr. Nettles insisted it was "in my head". I stopped working with Dr. Nettles immediately and emailed the office to cancel my "membership" in the program. Dr. Nettles instead double charged my card by mistake and his pharmacy shipped yet another needless month supply of Dutasteride (which cost extra money). Dr. Nettles "Stop and Regrow" program claims to offer a money back guarantee. However, Dr. Nettles does not honor this guarantee. After a year or so of fighting with his office girls for a partial refund, I was informed that his money back guarantee doesn't apply to female patients. Additionally, his new "Smile Back" guarantee requires users stay with the program for 12 months, even if they are experiencing negative, potentially harmful side-effects. Key takeaway: I paid nearly $1000.00 for a useless service and essentially snake oil and magic beans, with a "cosmetic specialist". It's important to note that Dr. Nettles is neither a trichologist or a dermatologist, and there is no substance behind his clinical advice or recommendations. Interpersonally, Dr. Nettles also comes across arrogant and rude. Do yourself a favor, go to Dr. Paul McAndrews instead. He is a dermatologist who specializes in hair loss. He is thorough, honest, and professional. I'd be happy to pay three times as much for Dr. McAndrew's service. read more

Was invited to go check out Dr. Ray's new facility in Beverly Hills...beautiful establishment. Definitely worth going to see... I went in for my first facial by Marina. I was welcomed with a smile, and a great atmosphere...it even smelt good. Went into my facial room, I was reviewed and established my face type by Marina, which then was put onto a very comfortable facial chair/bed. Marina was very thorough. Using aromatherapy and high end cleansing products. Let me first say I hate going to the doctor, or dentist, or anything associated with. But this is my friggin face we're talking about so I didn't want just anyone messing with it.... or a Dr that just want to "try" something. I wanted an artist with a vision, and to look natural and not frozen expressionless in time! I had such an amazing experience with Dr. Nettles! Now being a first time forehead Botox experience, I really didn't know what to expect. Or how it would turn out. But man oh man did I make the right call. He was very knowledgeable and precise in explaining what his specific plan for my forehead was which helped calm my nervous. I was completely blown away when he then taught me how to stop using the muscles to pull my forehead up.... which was the cause of the wrinkles! He is full of life and super entertaining during the procedure as well which made me appreciate the experience that much more. Nothing worse than having Ben Stein as your doctor. Anyway, the only downside I see, is now I want to continue to turn back the hands of time with this age reducing magicians wand. Today was my first time visiting Dr. Nettles office and I want to say what a great experience it was from beginning to end. The ladies in the office Sabrina and Fernanda are very sweet and informative. If you have any questions they are eager to help. I had booked a facial on a recommendation from a friend and I'm so glad I did, my skin is glowing and so smooth right now. Their esthetician really knows what's she's doing and gave me some great tips on skin care. Also I must say all the ladies that work there are very pretty. Which makes me want to go back. Since they all look so good I have faith this office really knows what they are doing when it comes to skin care, beauty and cosmetic procedures. I was referred to Dr. Nettles by a friend. I wanted Botox to get rid of the unwanted forehead wrinkles that life placed on my face for being so expressive! My experience was great. The staff were are all quite friendly and the office is very clean. Dr. Nettles himself was super personable from the get go. It's always relieving when people are easy to get along with on top of doing great work. He has a very uplifting spirit about life, and you can't help but like the guy. I ended up getting on the Stop and Regrow hair program too. After seeing my hair on the micro camera (a must, even if you're just curious to see your hair on the bid screen) I wanted to stop it from thinning any more. Fernanda is the Doctors assistant. She is absolutely horrible. I went in curious about their weight loss program. I paid her $300 to get my blood work done and I told her that I wanted my thyroid checked. She was supposed to go over prior to my bloodwork all the information before the call with the doctor and she didn't. I asked her if I could have a copy of my blood work and she told me that she could not send it to me it would have to come from the lab ? the lab never sent it to me! it was a week later before the doctor could go over the bloodwork with me & 10 minutes prior to the call she finally sent me my blood work. I also asked her several times if the blood panel included the thyroid she told me yes! My dad and my sister both had thyroid cancer and I specifically asked her to make sure it was on the blood panel and she assured me it was. The Thyroid was NOT on the blood panel. After the call with the doctor it was clear that she didn't do her job and when I was asking questions The doctor could see I knew nothing of what was going on and he asked her why she didn't inform me. She had no response. I asked her to call and schedule a time that I could go over all the details. It's been a week and a half and she's never returned my call. She sees you only as a $ there is no customer service there is no connection I will never go back to this place. The doctor is really good but it's really unfortunate that you have to deal with her and you only see the doctor for about five minutes it's not worth it. She is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE read more

First of all I want to say I really wanted to give Dr Nettles 5 stars but unfortunatly I could not. I went to Dr. Nettles after purchasing a Groupon Voucher for 50 units of Dysport. I was very happy to find out they were in the office on a Sunday. When I got there I found the waiting room to be luxurious, nicely lit with relaxing music. So far so good, when I told the receptionist my appt time it had not been put in the computer even though I confirmed by phone and e-mail. no worries they could fit me in Great! I was ushered into an office by Fernanda who gave me a rather long sales pitch about the services offered and I was actually interested in some. The office had operating suites and was quite large which I liked also. I found Dr. Nettles to be very funny and high energy and my injections were done in a few minutes. Now I will tell you why I was so disappointed. Before and after my treatment I was told if I wasn't happy I could come in for a touch up in a week free of charge. I am an old hand at Botox and Dysport so I know that 50 units for the crows feet area is more than enough if it is not overly diluted and the Dr. injects all of it. After a week my left eye was slightly improved but the right side looked like Nothing had been done. So I called the office the following Monday to schedule a touch up I got the voicemail and left a message. After 2 days I did not hear back so I left another message and I got a call back from Fernanda. I was driving so I couldn't answer and called back when I got home 10 minutes later. Again the voicemail, again I left a message. No call back, I waited 2 days still nothing. S I left a 4th and final message and no return call. Disgusted I gave up. Now in the mean time I have one eye kind of smooth and one eye not at all and I am really upset. Do I pay to fix What Dr Nettles failed to do or hope they read this and make good on their offer? At this point even if they did I would pass. The messages I left were detailed to what the problem was and they couldn't be bothered to fix it. From the moment I called to book the appointment with the receptionist to when it was time for the actual procedure with the doctor, I was treated kindly and respectfully. Everyone is friendly, accommodating and informative. Dr. Nettles made sure to ask as many questions as possible to make sure that the desired results were achieved. He also made sure that he knew exactly how the muscles worked on my individual face so that he could provide as many options as possible. I am new to LA and generally get anti-aging treatments every 3-4 months, so I bought a groupon to help find a new doctor here in town. Dr. Nettles' office is beautifully decorated and located in a great spot, and Sabrina and Fernanda are extremely classy and warm and accommodating; it seemed as if this could be the perfect fit. I was pretty well sold on the yearly package they offer until Dr. Nettles came in to do my treatment. Though he appeared handsome and charming and I genuinely wanted to like him, as soon as he opened his mouth he was condescending and snide and questioned my ability to comprehend how a neurotoxin affects a neurotransmitter without being a chemist. I was shocked, to say the least, and continued to have my intelligence insulted as well as my "genetic imperfections" pointed out as the consultation continued. He closed our appointment with a hug and a kiss, as though perhaps we had bonded through this, but I can confidently say that I would feel more comfortable combatting my "imperfections" anywhere other than there. While I get the impression Dr. Nettles is talented and sharp, his bedside manner leaves quite a bit to be desired, and there are lots of options for this treatment in LA that don't involve being patronized. read more

My 4th time here I made an apt for a dermaplaning facial, I drove an hour in traffic to get there and the receptionist took me into the room and said she would be doing my facial because the esthetician who was supposed to work on me did not come in today. Then she told me she wasn't trained to do the dermaplaning. What??? Why didn't they call me and inform me of this before I drove all the way there??? Terrible customer service. All she said was "sorry". Apparently they hire the receptionist to do your facials. I would be very afraid to let her work on me. Very upset about this whole thing. read more

I'm pretty disappointed. I purchased a service off of groupon. I usually get Botox for my severe headaches. This doctor offered a deal for Dysport (they work the same) and after 3 weeks, the affects are already starting to disappear!! I can feel the headaches coming back too. I can tell he skimped on the amount of product injected which is definitely not cool. What should've lasted between 3-6 months has already started to fade and it hasn't even been a month. I had an appointment at the end of February. Admittedly I did buy a deal on Groupon. The staff was very nice, but I literally saw no results whatsoever. I have been getting 50 units of Dysport every 3 months for 9 months now, and have had great results. This particular appointment was for 75 units of Dysport. I left feeling good. And then I waited... Literally no change at all. I'm not sure what or how much the Dr used, but I feel like I was poked but no product actually went into my forehead. What a disappointment.
