After a year of trying to plan my wedding by myself, I was quite literally in tears because I did not have the time or experience to plan a wedding. My husband and I were paying for everything without any help, and it was nerve-wracking building spreadsheets and watching costs rise. I finally gave up and looked for a package company. Then we found Say Yes in Key West, and I thank goodness! From the moment I called them for the first time, all my stress and worry melted away. They took care of *every single detail* for a beautiful wedding with all the touches that made the special day I've always dreamed of even more amazing! We ordered the Hawaiian Paradise package for $3,000 with a ceremony at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park's R2 location. This particular location had an extra fee of $500, but it was absolutely worth it. This location is a beautiful swath of beach, gorgeous rocks, tropical foliage, and the beach faces the sunset perfectly. It is STUNNING, especially when the sun is setting. I couldn't have imagined a more romantic place to be married! They managed the difficult steps of the ceremony setup and breakdown, ensuring that all the vendors arrived on time, and I didn't have to worry about a thing! They handled the arbor, decorations, flowers, chairs, chair decorations, officiant, musician, photography, wedding cake, a beautiful sign made by a local artist, a ginger ale toast, transportation to and from the ceremony, and more. It seemed like an endless list, and they managed everything perfectly! The florals were absolutely exquisite! Say Yes had Karro Florals provide the flowers, and they were the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen in my life! I was so worried they wouldn't be premium flowers, but WOW, they were stunning! They included so many floral arrangements, and draped the flowers and beautiful fabrics over a gorgeous bamboo canopy on the beach. It was SO PRETTY! They had the cake delivered directly to our reception at the Rooftop Cafe, and it tasted so amazing, everyone loved it! We ordered a two-tier cake so we could keep the top for our anniversary. Say Yes handled all the details and served as the middle man for all my requests, and throughout every stage of the planning, they never made me feel bad for being particular about something or trying to save money. Honestly if I could give this company negative stars I would. This was by far the most awful experience at a time that should have been joy filled. Its been a while now and i'm still upset about it. We booked the banquet room at a local hotel (the hotel was amazing to us by the way) then we went to Say Yes in Key West to discuss the planning of our special day. They had a GREAT sales pitch but when we threw out some ideas the girl actually turned up her nose at us. This was early planning stages and my first and only wedding so I was trying to bounce ideas off of someone I thought was a "professional". She basically said this is what you get and here is our "menu" of options. We live hours away so planning a destination wedding was difficult enough. My fiance talked me into using them even though my gut told me otherwise. Fast forward 3 months I went back with my mother and again the Say Yes people were so rude. I felt like we were wasting THEIR time. Again, we are hour's away and my mom was even farther away so we made a few plans and left very disappointed. Our wedding was only four months away. Say yes was supposed to do this: Set up the bamboo alter on the beach, provide a photographer for our rehearsal dinner, provide a grooms cake for our rehearsal dinner, provide my brides bouquet and provide a "wedding assistant" for the day of. My mother literally did EVERYTHING ELSE! She had fresh flowers shipped to the home of a friend who lived in Key West and my mom sat in a hotel room and made ALL of the flowers for my groomsmen, bridesmaids, flowergirl, swags for the alter and the entire reception (32 tables)! Yes, they were beautiful. She also provided gold charges and handmade lace napkin rings for every place setting. She made skeleton key tags for seating assignments and had them all mounted on a wooden antique door. My mom is not a professional wedding planner this was 100% a labor of love for me! Say yes called the day before the wedding asking if we needed anything! Seriously? They were zero help for almost a year now all of a sudden they want to HELP? I was appalled. They provided just what they said they would and not a single thing more. The photographer that took our rehearsal dinner photos skipped town, with our money of course. We have NEVER received a single phone from our rehearsal dinner! The cake was OK. Not what we ordered but at least it tasted good. My wedding cake by the way was baked by a friend of my family and delivered in giant coolers by van to Key West. The wedding assistant showed up at the hotel on time thankfully. She was handed the swags for the alter and said that she would have them placed. While I was busy getting ready and taking photos before the big moment my parents and friends were busy putting all the finishing touches on everything else. Thank goodness I hired my OWN photographer and videographer otherwise I may not have any photos from my wedding. The hotel recommended a hair and make up specialist and a DJ that we used. They were great! Again, zero advice or assistance from Say Yes! When the big moment arrived my bouquet was delivered and it was beautiful. Kudos to the florist at least. As I made my way to the beach in the antique car that my mom hired to drive us over, I was met by the "day of assistant" from Say Yes. She was nice and seemed accommodating but as I reached the beach there was a drop to the sand so I had to take a large step down in my gown and heels. Just as I started down the isle a big gust of wind came up and my veil went flying. One of my guests caught it, handed it to the assistant who then proceeded to try to re-attach it to my head from behind as I was walking down the isle with my father. She was in several of my wedding photos! It was just a terrible experience from early planning to the lack of assistance by Say Yes. Had it not been for my family and friends my wedding would have been a disaster. I know this is a very long review but take it from me my wedding was only beautiful because WE made it that way. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful child and many wonderful amazing happy memories. I would NOT recommend Say Yes in Key West to worst enemy. I was super nervous about planning a wedding so far from home but I've always dreamed of having a beach wedding. The planners of this place did a very good job and I was very pleased with the outcome. The entire year of my engagement, I've been communicating with them through e-mails and phone calls and they were not annoyed with me, they always have great services and answered all my questions. Their wedding package was super flexible, they worked with me so I could have my dream wedding. And they always kept me posted so I know how things were going. We are glad that we did, I had never been to Key West personally but my wife and her family had multiple times. With one month to plan our intimate destination wedding, Patricia and her team were ever the professionals with lighting fast responses to my thousands of questions that every Bride has :) Her team handled everything that day. Say yes in key west was an absolute life saver for our wedding! My fiancé and I had hired a different planner roughly 1.5 years before our wedding to find out a year later that the above mentioned planner was a wrong decision. In June 2018 we were scrambling to re-plan our WHOLE entire 1.8.19 wedding since the planner previously contracted was an All-inclusive service. Say Yes in Key West was recommended to us by our Photographer who emailed them on our behalf. We received an email from Monika in less than an hour and were on the phone with Slava (the owner) within a few short hours. SYIKW contacted local vendors in the area on our behalf and got quotes for us the NEXT day!! Needless to say the promptness of the company and the willingness to help was outstanding and this was before we even contracted with them! In less than a week our wedding was planned like nothing ever happened. Every time I communicated with them they got back to me super-fast and any and all requests were completed without a problem. Unfortunately, a month before our wedding we had another issue with a vendor this time with our videographer. SYIKW went above and beyond to try to get the issue resolved. The final result was us needing to hire a new videographer. SYIKW AGAIN reached out to videographers on our behalf to get a videographer for our wedding. We hired SYIKW for ceremony only coordination and they FAR EXCEEDED any and all expectations. We only had a very short wedding so we didn't need an all-day coordination but if we did I wouldn't have thought twice on booking them! Monika and Slava are the individuals I dealt with prior to the wedding and they were absolutely wonderful. I was nervous to plan our wedding all the way from New York and having never been to Key West. We got the All Inclusive Package and planned to marry on Smathers Beach at sunset. Say Yes In Key West always prompt with e-mail, communicated clearly, and customized our wedding to fit our preferences. Even though we had a small wedding with just 2 guests, we felt that Say Yes In Key West went above and beyond to make our special day even more special. Slava and the crew were so friendly and helpful and their expertise really showed, as everything was exactly as planned and went smoothly. The officiant, Michael Vernon, was great, and his reading before the vows was perfect (even though we only met just then!). The photographer, Sheel Sheelman, helped us relax in front of the camera and got many different shots (posed, candid, different places), and we have over 200 beautiful photos. The bouquet and boutonniere were lovely and the customized decorations were just as expected. The cake (from Key West Cakes) was stunning and tasty, even though it was just a small 1-tiered cake it was decorated with the same care and flair as a large cake.
