Overall, the experience was very positive, and the final result is beautiful. The process was smooth and well managed by Taylor. The quality of work was excellent from the moment they started. From controlling the dust, cleaning up every day, waterproofing, and aligning the tiles. Any issues that presented throughout the process were quickly corrected. Communication was A++. Not common for this line of work. His team showed up every day on time, ready to work. Cost-wise, we understand Sazbros wasn't the cheapest option nor were they the most expensive. This Company is amazing! I was referred to them by one of my neighbors that had just completed a whole home remodel here in North Tustin. I am so glad that I selected them and not one of their competitors. They are a family owned and run Company that does all of the work in house. In this day and age it's extremely rare to find employees that have been working for the same Company for 10-20 years. This is our third project with Israel and Taylor at Sazbro Builders. For this project we remodeled our small 1950s era master bathroom and laundry room. My photos don't do it justice. The tile work in the shower, shower glass, granite work turned out great! We installed an in-wall toilet, recessed medicine cabinet, and moved plumbing around in order to expand the bathroom space. Israel/Taylor's team helped us pull permits with the City. Just be sure to communicate with them on the extra cost for any add-on services/change orders upfront. Overall the remodel went really smoothly (despite supply chain issues). Their team was really great to work with (thank you Edgar, Randy, and Juan). Israel came to my house, spent a few hours with measurements and proposals, showing him personal areas of my house. We were excited about our remodel. Received an email for a quote over a week later but there was nothing about the remodel itself. Only a $10,000 contract for architecture, engineering, and permits. Never responded to my email or text to clarify. Very poor communication. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE......1/2016 I won almost 40,000 in my lawsuit against Sazbro. Rumor on the street is they didn't pay their lawyer and now their lawyer is suing them now. My experience with this company was truly horrible and has lead to a lawsuit against Sazbro. Their invoicing is confusing and highly inaccurate. They billed me for things they never did. They double billed me on invoices, for the same thing. They damaged my property and caused me to have to spend so much more just because they were so negligent in their work. Israel leaves his crews unsupervised. They broke windows, scratched hardwood floors, used the wrong the kind of tape to tape plastic and it left residue on moldings and floors. I had to have all my floors resanded, stained and finished because of the damaged they caused. The drywall finish coat had flaws in just about every room they did. They miss measured wood causing me to have to pay so much more than i needed to. They covered up wallpaper that was from 1896 with drywall mud, it was never supposed to be touched. Then they tried to bill me for their error. I cannot truly explain how bad my experience was. They talk a good sales game, but where the rubber meets the road, every step had issues. I will also be filing a complaint with the state of California. It has been hell dealing with such a dishonest company. I sued them in court for these damages. read more

I called Sazbro Builders in Tustin, Ca. for a remodel on my existing spa deck. Although I got other estimates from two other companies that were HALF the price, Sazbro made me feel like they were better than everyone else, and advised me that on the previous estimates I got, in fact that I'd be disappointed. Good Sales job! When in fact, I was over charged, and the job itself never came to completion as promised. So, I over paid, didn't get the job done as per our agreement, and on top of that, the office staff was rude and condescending. We had a wonderful patio cover, but the termites had also enjoyed it, and it was beyond repair. The beams were huge, so I did not think I should try taking it down myself. We got three quotes for removal, and Sazbro came in lowest (probably 25% lower than the next competitor). When the day came, the guys showed up, covered up the air conditioning unit with a tarp, and went to work taking the cover down. Somehow, the two guys doing the job managed to get the beams down without dropping them (and these were 17' beams that were probably 6"x12"). By the end of the day, all that was left was a small pile of debris. By noon the next day, the debris was gone and the holes in the house had been patched. This would have been a five-star review except for two issues: first, the office never called to tell me to confirm the date and time of the work, and second, the crew asked to use our push broom to clean the patio. (That second point is probably petty. After all, I saved a few hundred dollars by going with Sazbro. Should I really be complaining about an hour of use on my $20 push broom?) If we need construction type work done in the future, we'll definitely give Sazbro a call. read more

The workers were friendly, but the plumber they sent made mistakes and workmanship was questionable. Painting was bad. I had to have them come back to fix one thing or another. After I paid them, they wanted to charge a trip fee to fix a plumbing problem. The management is rude and condescending and I was always put on the defensive. No customer service. They were as good as it gets! From the start with our initial meeting with Israel to the super talented men that actually did the work--Juan, Jesus, and Edgar. These men are really gentlemen and talented at their craft. One day I was lugging in some fairly large bricks to finish my patio. They rushed to help me explaining that a lady should not be lifting such heavy bricks. I offered to pay them to help but they would NOT take any money. They said it was against company policy. I have been around many construction sites since my husband and I built our Colorado home. NEVER did I have such nice respectable treatment-- I was there daily working in other areas. Enough of my gushing..... what took them probably 10 minutes just will remain in my memory as one of the nicest things that workmen have ever done for me. The work... They removed popcorn ceiling, installed canned lighting, built a laundry room, hung many difficult light fixtures, ran a water line from the water to the icemaker, and replace the electrical panel. I got 3 bids which was not easy since I live in Colorado and the home is in Costa Mesa! Their bid was not the cheapest, but it was the most detailed in the work to be done. I cannot say enough about how important this is. AVOID the contractor that does not give you a detailed accounting of the work to be done. It will be a very costly mistake. So, in the end, I chose Sazbro Builders because they were very detailed. And, I needed to have a level of trust from my distance. Pat, the real power behind the group, was a delight to work with over the phone. She is the office manger and keeps everything going. If there was any question or issue, she handled it immediately. I'll start by saying that this is really about a 4.75 star review. But that isn't an option. Had some fairly extensive work done by Israel and his crew. Pretty much every room in the house had something done...new floors, extensive electrical, walls removed, etc. Israel had some great ideas to augment what we were going to be doing and the pricing was very fair, even though we were already "pregnant." My only 2 complaints (and one really wasn't his fault) were that sometimes the communication wasn't as good as I thought that it could be and the job took longer than anticipated (again, not really his fault since we were at the mercy of some materials orders that took longer than anticipated and that created some staging issues, and we did add some substantial work at the end and his demo crew wasn't available). The quality of the work was very good and I have given Israel's name and number to a friend, for her remodel job. So that probably speaks louder than anything I could write. read more

I recently called them again for two other remodeling projects. Again, the work was top quality. I will use them again because I find them to be extremely professional. From the first consultation (estimate) I could tell that this company had experience with all aspects of remodeling. I never felt pressured as I have with other companies, but this contractor offered suggestions that demonstrated his knowledge and experience. I felt confident that I had chosen the right company. I will always call them for any remodeling project. The bottom line is that they are efficient - from the office manager to the craftsman; they do what they say they are going to do and complete the work in an organized and timely manner; they are dependable and reliable. We contacted Sazbro after seeing a truck in the neighborhood. Their sales force of one, the owner, is very good at sales and you never knew you were dealing with the owner. As with the other posts, the people actually doing the work are polite but that's where it stops. The management and office staff are rude and condescending. the quality of work is sub par and they do not meet their commitments on time. We have been nickel and dimed to death. We asked for some additional work, to replace two lights in the master bath with three LEDs, what should have cost about $700.00 resulted in an all day estimate discussion that wanted to add over $4000.00 to an already $10,000+ remodel...I would never recommend this company. We are now two weeks in on the original timeline of one week and they haven't even started the upstairs. Could be the fact that they show up at around 10:00am daily and are gone by 4:00pm...Never again and I suggest you look elsewhere for your contracting/building needs. read more
