Greg Baird, Master Designer, came out to discuss my proposed layout. He actually talked me out of installing additional cabinets because he had the foresight that it would be too cramped and crowded. Getting tiles replaced is like pulling teeth, uncomfortable and painful.

We got lucky. As part of a whole house remodel, we elected to have Haynes Cabinetry change out our…read morekitchen and bathroom cabinetry. We spent a huge amount of time and effort, researching different cabinetry companies in order to find the right match for us. It became clear as we researched that there is a big dividing line within the cabinetry industry. Most typically there are guys who have table saws, and tape measures and they proceed to chop up wood and nail it together. However, a more recent development in the cabinetry business is what we were looking for. The most advanced companies come out, take measurements of the room and then design the cabinetry on a three dimensional computer system. This provides a way of essentially seeing what you're going to create before you even make one bit of sawdust. Once an optimized design is finalized, the wood parts are cut up and drilled by computer controlled machines, that very precisely control the dimensions of the wood parts to within only a few thousands of an inch. At that point the wood panels are simply put together with very little effort and essentially no corrective measures being needed. The result is a cabinet assembly that comes out essentially perfect. All drawers are precisely in line, everything fits pretty much perfectly. And this is how Haynes cabinetry operates. Along with Haynes, using the most advanced methods of creating cabinetry, throughout our project, they continually displayed a most proactive approach to dealing with us. At no point during the project, did we ever have to ask to have something done a second time. Everything we asked was taken care of, and taken care of with a smile. It was as if we were having friends that we've known for years come over and perform this work, they were amazing! Looking back at our home remodel, it is clear that Haynes cabinetry led the pack with regards to comparing them with the other contractors that we had involved in our project. We had just gone through the painstaking process of throwing away new cabinets made by another company, as they were not to code and didn't fit our space. Finally that saga had ended, and our dreams had come true in a beautiful shade of whitewashed red oak. We did hire a layout design specialist prior to meeting Charles, but the company took our design a step further and concocted a very ingenious shape for the lazy susans to maximize storage. The drawers on our base cabinets are deep, spacious and close softly. It's amazing how much we can store now. As with all renovations there were some delays getting the ball rolling, but the final result was well worth the wait. We stopped by their showroom about three to four times to pick out the tile, countertop, cabinets, etc. and each time Tim was very accommodating and patient. He assisted but was not overbearing at all in terms of helping us choose what would look best and gave some great tips and points. Our master bathroom was more than just a facelift, we removed a closet, extended the bathroom, fixed a leak, moved some plumbing and electrical, etc. Each crew member we interacted with was extremely professional, did the work quickly and professionally, and Sam the foreman was helpful in answering all of our questions. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the end product. Tim and his entire team are very patient, communicative, and we will likely use EKB again when we get our other bathrooms and kitchen redone.

Where things fell short was communication and delivery...especially disappointing as this was our first time shopping here. When we placed our order, we specifically asked if the product was in stock and were told that it was. After we paid and left, we received a call saying the product was actually not in stock and would take about a week. Frustrating, but what made it worse was the response we got when we followed up. We spoke with Glenn and explained that had we known, we might have gone elsewhere. His response was essentially that we were free to do so. Having worked in customer service for over 10 years, I found that surprising and disappointing...there was no effort to retain our business or make things right. We decided to continue with the order since we had already paid. Fast forward about two weeks, and we hadn't received any updates. I called to check in and was told the shipment was still in transit and might arrive by the end of the day. I asked to speak with a manager, and Glenn called me back. To his credit, he acknowledged the earlier interaction and apologized for the delay, but there was still a lack of proactive communication or effort to improve the experience...especially considering we had already, made multiple trips for payment and a partial pickup. Ironically, I received a call just before closing that the rest of the shipment had arrived and would be ready for pickup the next day...but only after I had reached out first. I would still recommend this place for the showroom, selection, and the help we received from Polina. Just be aware that the follow-through and communication may not match that initial experience.

But he did it, and from the pictures you can see that he did it with beauty and style! If you have an easy or difficult job, Steve will make sure it's done well and done right. Great work! I had a bathroom and a kitchen remodeled by Entourage Home Remodeling and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a stress-free remodeling job. From the initial consolation to the final inspection the project was on schedule and within cost. No surprises. My contractors, Freddie and Paulina, made helpful suggestions throughout the project to make sure that I got the outcome that I wanted. I appreciated their insight for design and color. All my questions were answered every step of the way. I truly felt it was a collaborative effort. The workers showed up every day they were supposed to and they were on time. I saw Freddie and Paulina every day when they came to manage the work being done and to check the quality of the previous day's work. If something was not correct, the problem was fixed right then. The staff are top-notch tradesmen. Anthony, the plumber, did the bathroom demolition so he could make sure it was done right. Albert, the electrician, was so good at threading wires through the kitchen walls that drywall cuts were almost not necessary. Blas, the tile person, was an artist at laying out tile patterns. Rodrigo, the cabinet specialist, worked to get the most amount of storage within a given space and even mocked the cabinet positions with blue tape so we could visualize the layout during the design process. After hearing horror stories about contractors and remodeling jobs, when friends asked me about my remodeling job, I was almost embarrassed to say that it went so smoothly. Dennis totally saved the day! I contacted him on Yelp and got a really fast response, and he came out the same day to look at this huge thing and determine what should be done. It is huge: 8' × 18' × 9' high. It was very well built and super heavy. But Dennis and his assistant meticulously took it apart in panels, moved it back, and put it back together perfectly -- it took some ingenious creativity, too. And all in one day. And for a really fair price. I'm so very grateful to have found Cottage Construction and Dennis! He has my highest recommendation! I should add that it has been really hard to find a contractor to do anything creative, but Dennis is a creative type who really likes all sorts of projects. I think he can do anything!

They were both considerate of our home as we were living there and took care in the work they did.
